Hazel has been traveling pretty much constantly since the two year skip. Not aimlessly though. They are obviously off the beaten path in the forest. Her caravan has been left parked elsewhere to save time.

"Did we see the mossy rock last time we were here?"

Her Espeon just shakes his head. If they saw it he doesn't remember. She sighs and turns on her Xtransceiver.

[[ video ]]

[ She looks at the camera sheepishly while Zack decides to sniff around. ]

Has anyone ever come across a large mossy rock in Pinwheel Forest? One that um... kinda feels a bit strange if that makes any sense. It's supposed to have something to do with evolving Eevee.

So...

[ Before she can finish her thought Zack gets a scent that obviously must be followed right this second. Suddenly... Running... While Hazel happens to be sitting on his back. ]

Eep! Zack!

[ Nope. Not stopping just yet. Gotta find the thing! ]

[[ end video ]]

Hazel hastily shuts off her Xtransceiver and puts it away to avoid dropping it since she isn't actually wearing it.

"Zaaack! Where are we going?" She's still a bit shocked at the sudden run but, she's more curious about what he's trying to find than alarmed really. She didn't actually tell him to stop after all.

He pauses for a second to make sure he's still on the trail before he's off again.

[The feed shows Dustin commanding one Pokemon against another in a fierce battle that some would notice as outside Pinwheel Forest. The two were a small orange and yellow bird and slightly larger mole called Drilbur. The Torchic weakly dodged a swipe from his foe's claws as he delivered a Peck to the Drilbur's chest.]

Dude! Nice job, Shane. Now Kelly! Dig now, and Shane try to dodge the attack again.

[The Drilbur Kelly nodded as she went underground calmly. Shane the Torchic, ran to find a good place to counterattack and as he tried to speed up on fallen logs. As Kelly came up to to strike the weaker Fire type, Shane instead of attacking from a distance his body glowed in flame causing the start of a damaging Flame Charge. Taken offguard, Kelly fell to the ground stunned.]

Dude... That was awesome, Shane! You okay, Kelly?

[She nodded once and that was it.]

Hey has anyone noticed some of the Pokemon I found here aren't native to Unova? Kind of weird. Anyway, this is Shane the Torchic and Kelly the Drilbur/

[ Well... there's fire. Kind of looks like a lot. Or the camera is just close to a little. Hard to say really. The Xtransceiver has clearly been either dropped or thrown aside.

Sephiroth can be seen approaching a somewhat badly burned Riolu. And he's walking straight through flames to do so. Something glowing faintly green can be seen in his right hand. ]

Hold still.

[ Yeah Sephiroth. Like that's going to work. You are NOT a comforting individual. Of course the Pokémon is going to attempt to flee despite its injuries... which are bad enough that it just kind of falls over. It's still trying though. Sephiroth grumbles something under his breath, considers for a moment and then throws a Poké ball with his left hand. The Poké ball shakes several times before clicking shut.

The feed is turned off when Sephiroth comes to retrieve his discarded items. He has no comment on finding that the thing was broadcasting.

And several hours later it starts up again. The fire has been put out and thankfully it is only a small portion of trees that were burned. ]

It has been an interesting day for me. Obviously.

I suspect it may be the result of a side effect from whatever happened to the Entralink.

[ What's a side effect? No one knows you use fire while training with your Pokémon sometimes. Oh well. He's not going to elaborate unless someone asks. ]

Loki's apparently separated briefly from his recent travel mate (likely just by running ahead) on pursuit of one of the scared pokemon around the area that have cropped up. He's got a bag on his back and a swadloon protectively stuffed in it, and behind him his other pokemon run.

"Thori, burn it!" he shouts, all while giving an odd look to the jellicent. The jellicent vanishes; the fire from Thori spews forth in the meantime, and the shadowy pokemon he's targeting dodges. "GO!" he orders seemingly for the second time, the shadow dodging once again-

Well, almost. The jellicent reappears, and a torrent of water slams it back in Loki's path. A pokeball is thrown and...

...Caught! It pops itself out right after in fact, kneeling. Loki seems rather cheery about this, looking him over. "You remind me of Wilson," he notes, and the bisharp seems to be rather surprised by that. Loki's grin grows. "Hello Wilson!"

"Hello Loki."

Loki turns with a fair bit of surprise at that- this is... "...Well." Um. "...Sorry to say this, but... I don't believe I know you!" This is awkward...

"No." The girl standing before him smirks. "Not yet at least."

What.

[[Note; action responses come from both characters; however, it's possible to speak to either or over the transceiver!! Loki's AU is a crossover; the character here is Haibara Ai, from Detective Conan.]]

[It's a rather calm day, for anybody involved in the Badge or Ribbon Quest. At least, it seems that way for those not in Pinwheel Forest, where the gym leaders are deep in the forest. The forest is deep and dangerous, and they've been battling though it for this time. One of them looking for the missing skull, the other looking for the cause, for the terrified but evolved bugs and others.

But, of course, this is meant to be a secret.
However... one of their Xtransievers activated, as the battle continued - on all networks.

So! The audio message!]

L-Lenora! If I do not make our way out of this... please, promise me...

Quiet, Burgh! Of course we'll calm this... wait. I think that's the one.

It appears so... I think this is the scared creature of the forest. If we calm this one, the others - it's standing, Lenora! Get back - I know this forest much better. It shall not attack me.

And you were just sobbing. Leave it to me.

[And then, an inhuman roar, before the beast seemingly tackles the one who has the Xtransiever, as they let out a scream. The audio cuts out, replaced by a strange tone, and a message.]

WARNING. XTRANSIEVER NUMBER 08107 IS OUT OF ORDER. LAST KNOWN LOCATION: PINWHEEL INTERIOR.

[Oh... oh dear.

OOC: Okay! So this is the start of the event! I'll set up two threads now, one for transport and one for entering the forest. Soon, I'll set up a thread for actually going though the forest - but not straight away.]

[ There is a Phione playing with Sephiroth's Extranciever. It's holding it upside down and making silly faces at it.

It soon gets bored with that and tosses the device aside. There is now just a skewed view of a clearing in the forest. And perhaps unnoticed before is the sound of battle.

And then an Emolga dashes across the clearing, attacking something off-screen. There is the sound of an impact and the Pokémon is hurled back in the direction she came. She gets right back up and, sparking with electricity, goes to attack again.

This time a few seconds pass before there is another sound of an impact and she is hurled away from whatever she was attacking. It takes a second for her to get up this time. She almost goes back to attacking but, is interrupted. ]

Enough.

[ The owner of the voice comes into view. He's apparently decided to go shirtless for training. His hair is also quite wild from a fair bit of static. The expression on his face well... there isn't much of one but, it mostly resembles boredom. He casually picks up the Emolga and carries it towards and then behind the Extranciever where he does something that makes a strange sound. And then there is the sound of a Pokémon being returned to a Poké ball.

He soon notices that the C-gear is on and picks up the device. Instead of turning it off he starts talking. ]

A question.

I know people generally use Pokémon to fight here but, does anyone do so without them?

[ He misses ~~trying to maim~~sparring with other people for fun perhaps. ]

[ Hazel has decided to move on to Pinwheel Forest. She got some extra supplies and is taking it slow. she hasn't decided whether to really explore or just go right through.

At the moment she's found an empty area and is trying to teach two of her Pokémon Ice beam. Yeah, she's made sure they both want to try first. Cloud is just watching and standing guard since he can't learn that move. ]

Okay, I know the two of you have potential to learn this move with one of those TM things. We're going to see if we can get it down without it.

Now watch carefully.

[ She aims at a nearby rock and manages a passable imitation of an Ice Beam. ]

Give it a try.

[ Yuffie tries first and just gets a squeak for her efforts. Cid snickers at her failure before giving a try himself... and is disappointed when nothing happens. ]

It's alright. [ She's doing well at sounding reassuring at least. She finds Pokémon much easier to talk to than people. ] I didn't think it would be that easy.

Okay next... we'll sit quietly. [ She sat and motioned for the Pokémon to sit on either side of her. ] Close your eyes and clear your minds.

Breathe in... and out. In... out.

[ While her Pokémon were doing that Hazel set the camera on her Xtranceiver to record without broadcasting... or she tried not to broadcast. Maybe she should have double checked how to do that. Oops. [video-->] Yuffie kept fidgeting and peeking over at Cid... who was actually doing okay. ]

Now search within yourselves for your potential. Breathe in... and out. When you think you've found it... Breathe in, grab hold of it... and breathe out.

[ Yuffie took a minute trying to follow Hazel's directions but, lost patience before she actually got a hold of it and just tried the move again. She got another squeak for her efforts but, her breath might have been slightly cold. She pouted and watched Cid, hoping he'd fail just as much so she wouldn't feel stupid.

Cid waited until he thought he had a hold of it, breathed in.... and burped out a snowflake.

Hazel couldn't help it. She giggled. And then went about making sure her Pokémon understood just how well they did for a first try and then gave out cuddles. ]

(( OOC: I'd prefer to say she got through the part where she demonstrated with her magic without anyone seeing since Cloud would warn if someone was coming... Except for N maybe since he already knows. ))

[Grimsley has been on a mission this whole event.
He's been going though Pinwheel Forest, in a mission to find Celebi. Why? It's a long story - short version, he just got back from the world of PMD2, and he wants to kill that shiny Celebi who cursed him to take on the role of that dead character. He's been grabbing wild Pokemon, and looking into the past to try and find this. He's got his trust in... Zoroark. Yes, that Zoroark.
Just roll with it.

But now, he's flicking on his Xtransiever. He's starting to worry, and so he has a question. Note his odd hair and the redness of his cheeks - he's ripped off that fur which was there, but he still has blue in his hair.]
I don't know how long I've been here - but it can't have been too long. [He's seen the other him, though the eyes of his Pokemon.] I'm looking for Celebi. Has anybody seen her?
[And then he turns it off. This Grimsley is weird.]

[It started not long after Subaru finished preparing for a few days' journey in Nacrene City. He felt a little dizzy, and his arms and legs felt a bit heavy. It felt like early signs of Noise poisoning to him, but how could that be? There were no sources of Denpa around, and the Noise circulation system that was developing in his body was still in its fledgling stages, and was under control. Or so he thought.

He felt the Noise levels spike suddenly, saw machinery just near him suddenly start to malfunction. And so he did the first thing that came to mind: release his two Pokemon from their Pokeballs before they had the chance to malfunction too, then start running out of town as fast as he could before his body started causing more trouble, absorbing too much power. He fled to the heavily wooded areas that were said to be close by to Nacrene, immediately straying off the path in an effort to isolate himself deeper in the woods. That was two days ago.

Now, Subaru found himself getting worried. The Noise levels hadn't settled down, still spiking and flaring at random intervals out from his body, visible to anyone who could see or sense energy as a crimson red aura. The area just immediately around him, roughly a foot or so, was rather...unsafe, and he doesn't move far from that area in the hopes of keeping his sphere of influence as small as possible. Even with the Noise Program and War-Rock working as hard as possible to suppress its effects, and his own high Noise resistance, Subaru finds himself paralyzed for long stretches of time. Rocky and Leo seem to be doing fine for now, either by sensing the Noise radiation or actively fighting against any expansions in Subaru's aura, but he's still worried. He only packed for a few days, and even if he himself isn't using much supplies due to his inactivity, Rocky and Leo can't scavenge around the same area for too long, especially not with them fighting against both his Noise and other wild Pokemon that get too close to their relatively defenseless camp.

Not only that, but he fears what would happen if he really lets his Noise levels spike out of control. If only he could communicate with someone, keep his wits about him...War-Rock couldn't talk much with how hard he was working, and his two Pokemon needed to stay their distance. Slowly, hesitantly, he turns on his feed, letting out a yelp as his barely-working Xtransiever lets out loud, screeching noises.

Anybody who receives his video feed will notice how poor it is, how it constantly is riddled with static, and how Subaru's voice seems to get distorted and warped past recognition at times. But he's hoping desperately that someone will respond despite that. He needs to talk...he wishes he could talk to his friends, to keep his head on straight...he's hoping that someone will pick up!]

[[ooc: yep, I ended up doing it. This AU is from a future crossover with Battle Network, in which during a fight with Sirius, Subaru gets deleted trying to protect Netto and his reconstructed body is pumped up with Noise by Sirius. He's brought back to his senses, but he's developed a body system to channel Noise which is still developing and is prone to sudden flaring-which is what is going on right now.]]

[This had been a bad idea from the start.

Grimsley had stormed into the Pinwheel Forest, angry at losing to Lenora a few times. It'd just be a bit of training, right? Well, it had been... until that darn Shiny Sewaddle broke his Xtransiever and lost the map. He ended up catching it, but that's not the point. The point is, he's lost.

And that damn Murkrow - it didn't help! No, it got him even more lost! Why the hell would it do that?

And then it vanished - all his Pokemon vanished, except for his new Sewaddle and his Deino. And even they're tired!

The worst part, though? He swears he's going in circles - he can't see an exit from these trees. That's because of Zoroark, but whatever.

With a sigh, he started to talk to his Xtransiever, because at least that still works.]

Hello? This is Grimsley. I... I'm in Pinwheel, and I'm doing better then most of you. [Lie number one.] I caught another shiny. And--

--What the heck is that?! Is that... me?!

[You can't see it, but Zoroark has approached to troll - disguised as the older Grimsley. Of course, she can't speak - but she can still laugh. The phone signal is bad, of course - so you can't hear what happens next. Grimsley tries to attack his older self, like the brat he is.

About 10 minutes later, though... Grimsley's speaking again. He sounds a little scared.]

This forest is deadly. I should have just gone back to Black City. Is anybody out there? I want to go back home. [He's crying. Another snarl comes from behind him - Zoroark's still there, taunting him.

Help?]
