Player Plot - Jouney Through Desert Resort [Locked to Subaru & Emmet]
[[Note to the others- Responses of course, will come from Astral.]]
It was a strange feeling, sand passing through him. As an incorporeal being of course, technically he couldn't feel it at all of course. But he could see the sand come toward him and not stop, as it did when it blew over the others.
Subaru already had his poncho from the store on- in addition, his pokemon were either within their pokeballs or kept in check by Yuuma's own. Travelling along Route 4 had been the easy part, where the road had been relatively safe to traverse.
Now, however, they were in the Desert Resort- and reaching the building known as 'Relic Castle' would be easier said than done. Vicious winds blew sand around until it was impossible to see more than a few feet before them- And any single mound of it could be mistaken for the land that the ruinous building sat upon.
"Subaru," he called out, voice somehow still overpowered by the howling winds. Behind him, the pokemon were each doing their part to shield the other from the harsh winds- though Muzumuzu was relatively unaffected even he had troubles, a fact that had the psychic of the group doing her best to at least shield them from the worst, the tiny Kuribolt barely avoiding a fate of being blown away while Achacha acted as a wall. "Subaru," he repeated, looking to the boy. "How are you faring..??"

[And he releases the shiny Sigilyph from it's Pokeball...only to have it start whipping up an angry whirlwind. It's not big enough to blow anyone away, but it is a nuisance.]
O-oi-!!!

"Geot...." Achacha would like him to cease this nonsense!
"Zo zo zorua!!" And Kuribolt would like to say that they really need to get to the castle so that 'Mr. Invisible' can stop being invisible, and if he's going to be like this then she'll bite his tail!!

Please...we don't want to damage this place. We just came here because we heard there was something that can help our friend...would you please help us?
no subject
Zorua stares a moment...
...And translates. 'Just like I said, see?' she adds on.

('I sense an energy of sorts next to you. It is similar to an artifact deep within the ruins. Because of that...and because you have bested me...I am obligated to submit. I do not like it, but I must.')
[Meanwhile, Subaru is clueless. But it doesn't sound angry...?]
no subject
"Thank you for your assistance."
no subject
...Thank you. I know this place must mean a lot to you, if you're protecting it so much...
[And when he says that, he realizes why this Pokemon feels so familiar to him.]
...You're like that pattern, from my homeworld. In the Nansca Lines. The bird denpa being that was the aerial protector of that ancient place, Mu...you're like him. Condor Geograph.
[And then Subaru laughs a little.]
That settles it, I guess. Geograph. You're Geograph!
[The Sigilyph blinks, then nods. At least the one who captured him seemed to be respectful of ancient places, knew their worth. He would accept this name of a protector of ancient lands.]

Astral floated up somewhat, the other pokemon briefly looking over the now Lampent that was Muzumuzu before looking forward. "Continuing on then."
no subject
[And Subaru takes a few minutes to pull out some Potions for the newly nicknamed Geograph, healing it somewhat. It doesn't fuss at the stinging, thankfully. He then lets Geograph flutter off, as it croons at them to follow.]
I guess the entrance must be that way. [Let's go!]

With a gesture, Kuribolt hops back into running, the sandstorm having quelled considerably. Behind her come the others, Astral floating above. And soon enough the towering entrance to the Relic Castle can be seen, broken pillars jutting out from the sand and wind howling at its doorway. Quickly, the pokemon head inside for shelter, the sudden drop in noise almost jarring. The top level seems to have windows of sorts- and yet sand does not blow in.

[Subaru finds himself whispering this, it just feels too quiet to speak out loud. Meanwhile, while his Pokemon are shaking the sand of, Geograph croons again. It knows something of the layout, but the Sigilyph as a rule almost never go in. The item, however, is at the deepest depths.]

A yip from Kuribolt- and after a bit of nodding, the others seem to agree. "Good... It may take considerable time to travel through... And I have a feeling we will see more things like that," he adds, gesturing to the sink hole, "As we go."
no subject
[And then they go?]

To take the stairs downward is simple enough- though it gets somewhat darker the constant light from Muzumuzu is more than enough. However, as they walk through the sand littered tunnels, Astral freezes- "Wait..." He swallows. "...Did you hear that sound..?"
no subject
[There were things in here, attacking? Pokemon? A yip from Rocky confirms it-it has an aura signature, definitely.]
no subject
Snapping suddenly fills the air and from the shadows to the side jaws can be seen. With brown and black stripes the sandile hisses, eyes wide and teeth gnashing at the air.
"Aah..!"
no subject
[And with a screech, the Golbat does as it's told.]
no subject
The ghost type move is more than effective against the dark-type sandile, of course...
However, there's a bit of an issue, and everyone in the small confined tunnel is blown back against something.
no subject
Moving sand. When he pushes himself up, the sand slips out from under him and pulls him downwards, and every attempt to crawl out only makes the sand give away faster.
He's fallen in the sinkhole.]
A-aaaah!
no subject
"Rff! Erf! erf!" What's that Kuribolt? Subaru's on the next floor?
We don't speak pokemon, Kuri-
Suddenly, the pokemon are jumping in the hole as well.
"A-AHHH!!!"
no subject
Meanwhile, Subaru's lying facedown on the pile of sand. He lets out a yelp when Kuribolt lands on him first. When he hears more Pokemon coming down, he barely manages to roll out of the way.]
Gah!
no subject
Nonetheless, Astral hesitantly floats through after a moment, immediately looking back up with wide eyes and curiosity. "Ah- amazing..!! I expected them to lead to floors below, but not with enough air for anyone to survive...!" Was that really the best thing to say with no way to get back up?
