[Well, Unova, you're getting treated to a rather interesting sight today. The feed starts off merely showing Lostlorn Forest. Nothing too terribly interesting about that. The only thing of note is a Pokémon noise that sounds suspiciously like laughter as the camera bobs up and down a few times.

The feed stays that way for a few minutes before a new noise can be heard—yelling. It's getting progressively louder and louder and soon enough, one can make out a multitude of loud, angry squawks not far behind.

… And this is where, out of the bushes, a purple-haired boy bursts through, apparently the source of the yelling. The Shroomish in the kid's arms looks pretty displeased. The boy seems to note the Pokémon and Xtransceiver before grabbing at the Xtransceiver and fumbling with it. The last thing seen before the feed shuts off is a flock of angry Murkrows flying from the direction the boy came from, before being cut off by a stream of flame and a startled shout from the boy.

Eventually, the feed turns back on and the boy has plopped down in the middle of the road on Route 16. The Shroomish is on his lap and he now has a Houndour nudging at his face. He doesn't seem to realize the Xtransceiver is on again, bobbing up and down in the air like it had been previously.]

[ Sephiroth is looking at his recently evolved Lucario with a slightly confused expression on his face as he toys with his latest badge. He's actually pretty surprised that Alexander likes him enough to have evolved. ]

It almost seems as if one would have to be actively cruel to avoid forming a bond with their Pokémon.

[ He assumes it's obvious that he's not the cuddly type... If you ignore the Emolga that insists on draping herself over his shoulder at every opportunity. ]

A foolish thing. The creatures are so much more effective when they are content, are they not?

[ It's only practical to keep them happy if they're more useful when they are. Of course he may or may not only be pretending that's the only reason he puts up with their antics. ]
