[Well, Unova, you're getting treated to a rather interesting sight today. The feed starts off merely showing Lostlorn Forest. Nothing too terribly interesting about that. The only thing of note is a Pokémon noise that sounds suspiciously like laughter as the camera bobs up and down a few times.
The feed stays that way for a few minutes before a new noise can be heard—yelling. It's getting progressively louder and louder and soon enough, one can make out a multitude of loud, angry squawks not far behind.
… And this is where, out of the bushes, a purple-haired boy bursts through, apparently the source of the yelling. The Shroomish in the kid's arms looks pretty displeased. The boy seems to note the Pokémon and Xtransceiver before grabbing at the Xtransceiver and fumbling with it. The last thing seen before the feed shuts off is a flock of angry Murkrows flying from the direction the boy came from, before being cut off by a stream of flame and a startled shout from the boy.
Eventually, the feed turns back on and the boy has plopped down in the middle of the road on Route 16. The Shroomish is on his lap and he now has a Houndour nudging at his face. He doesn't seem to realize the Xtransceiver is on again, bobbing up and down in the air like it had been previously.]

Kariya watches the feed out of simple curiosity at first, but when Hikaru bursts into view he goes wide-eyed. Everything's moving too fast for him to be sure, especially after the Xtransceiver gets snapped up, but that poofy, purple hair sure looked familiar...
So, when it comes back, it's not long before he clicks onto screen.]
Kageyama? What'd you do?
[Also what are you doing here and are you okay??? But first thing's first.]
Hikaru blinks for a moment or so, not really registering that the Xtransceiver's hovering. When it does click, however, he frowns.] Geist, give me the Xtransceiver. [The feed zooms out, indicating that "Geist" has backed off a little. Hikaru lunges towards the Pokémon and device before it suddenly zooms up, with some equivalent of a cackle.
Suddenly, everything's in motion again as the Xtransceiver is apparently dropped onto Hikaru's head.] Ow! [Eventually, he grabs the device, rubbing at his head where the Xtransceiver hit it.] Kariya!
[He blinks, giving a confused laugh at the trouble Hikaru seems to be having with the feed. When the camera bonks down atop his head, there's an exasperated stare.]
Did something take your transceiver?
[...yeah, this is about how he'd have imagined Hikaru showing up here would go.]
[The Shroomish finally hops onto Hikaru's lap again, peeking up into the camera and peering at Kariya.]
Nimbasa?
When did you get here?
[Hikaru's Shroomish pushes its way into view, giving Kariya what can only be a judging look.]
--Ah! Mycelium, it's okay, he's a friend.
[He huffs. That's really annoying! Especially since it's amazing Hikaru didn't get eaten by ghosts or something, while the cities were dark...
He gives Mycelium a deadpan look in return.]
What's his problem?
[The Houndour leans his head over Hikaru's shoulder, the boy reaching over and giving the miniature hellhound a pat on the head.] Where are you, anyway?
[Gosh, there are a lot of them, now. He sighs softly.]
It's not that close to Nimbasa, though. It'd be quicker getting you, if you'd gone to Nuvema Town.
[...not even going to bother actually asking whether Hikaru wants to meet up with them.]
Kariya? Have you seen the others? Everyone seems to have scattered...
...Oh! Someone you know? [Smile smile smile don'ttrusthim]
Mhm! A friend and teammate from back home. I'm Kageyama Hikaru. It's nice to meet you!
[And then he gets interrupted, and Otogi gets a mild glare when he pops up on the screen.]
He's on Raimon's team, like everyone else...he got here during the blackout.
Except he's over in Nimbasa.
Actually, Iris won't likely charge too much for a flight here if you ask nicely; though... [Staring...]
...IN Nimbasa, or NEAR Nimbasa..?
I wouldn't think anything in the area is going to be a fair fight myself; route 16 is normally blocked off from newcomers, hm...
[The power was down, nutbar.]
But Barghest came to my rescue! [He motions to the Houndour, who lets out a yip. He stands up and dusts himself off.] I'll start walking back now, though! [He returns the currently off-screen Geist and sets the Pokéball in his belt. Mycelium and Barghest stay out.]
[Kariya nods, then turns his attention to Otogi.]
Is there any quick way we could get him close to the rest of us? I was thinking he could go back to Nuvema through the Entralink, but we'd have to go all the way back to get him...
[Or wait in Striaton even longer for him to catch up, but Hell no.]
Actually, I could probably convince her to pick you up so I could pay her once she arrives with you if you like!~
[video]
[Mildly grumbly since he's not actually sure who this Iris person is or what exactly flying in this world would entail? But, if Otogi thinks it's alright...]
Re: [video]
[Pardon him if he seems a little disbelieving.]
[Similar suspicion from Kariya's cat-eyed corner of the screen. He's imagining Hikaru clinging to the talons of a Pidgey or something, right now...]
I think she uses her salamence for the trips.
[What Hikaru said, except snarkier.]
[For the moment, have a bemused expression instead though, and a warning glint in otherwise cheery eyes.] You know- Dragons. It's a large dragon type. Almost as big as Golurk actually.
So, it's okay to ride one of them, going that fast?
[More importantly: Can he ride it too, when it gets here? o: ]
Humans have been doing that for years here.
[He's not sure whether that's really cool or somewhat frightening.]
Alright, then. We should do that!
At least, if we're able to afford it, we should.
I haven't spent a thing since I got here; I'll have more than enough for the small price it is to make the flight~
[video]
[He's not going to question Otogi volunteering but might as well make sure...
Until his focus gets pulled away by Hikaru's collision. Frown.]
...Can we make sure they strap him down to the dragon's back or something, too?
Eshshhshshsshhs~ He won't fall, don't worry!
[Someone sounds unconvinced. Kid just screwed up walking.]
Anyway, where does he have to go to hitch a dragon-ride?
Let him make it, he can tell her where to pick you up.
You said you were outside of Lostlorn, right?
