[ Sephiroth is looking at his recently evolved Lucario with a slightly confused expression on his face as he toys with his latest badge. He's actually pretty surprised that Alexander likes him enough to have evolved. ]

It almost seems as if one would have to be actively cruel to avoid forming a bond with their Pokémon.

[ He assumes it's obvious that he's not the cuddly type... If you ignore the Emolga that insists on draping herself over his shoulder at every opportunity. ]

A foolish thing. The creatures are so much more effective when they are content, are they not?

[ It's only practical to keep them happy if they're more useful when they are. Of course he may or may not only be pretending that's the only reason he puts up with their antics. ]

Everyone works better when in a good mood~ Pokaimon, normal animals and people... it's like happiness is some kind of super magic fuel.

And yet there are many people that don't realize this.
[ The obvious happiness of the Emolga that decides to jump to his shoulder shows he at least shows some care to his team's mood. ]

That's how things are... leaders and... pokeiman owners are humans and humans are far from perfection. [Her smiles widens a little looking at the small creature in his shoulder]

Indeed. Believing otherwise can often cause one's downfall. [ The Emolga waves 'Hello' at the Xtransciever. She likes to be friendly even if it's not in person. Sephiroth ignores the static the critter gives off. It doesn't bother him enough that he'd make her get down. ]

I couldn't agree more, sir. [She knows only God is perfect] But this shouldn't stop us in trying to do the best, should it? [Jehanne waves back, slowly, before sitting down on the grass near her curious cubone who waves at well, smiling behing his creepy mask] You really have a cute companion, sir...

There would be little advancement if no one tried.

[ Big smile from the Emolga. ]

Her name is Minerva.

[ It amused him to name the cute squirrel thing after his planet's goddess. ]

True...

[The small cubone is trying to put his paw on the device]

Minerva...? What a cute name.. sounds... italian? [Her level of culture is too low to recognize even the Roman goddess of war]

Italian? [ Minerva is hanging closer to the Xtransciever to get a better look. ] That is not a term I am familiar with. [ The Emolga almost falls off his shoulder and sheepishly pulls herself back up. ] I named her for my world's Goddess. [ It's fairly obvious to him that they are not from the same world. ]

It- oh, right. [sorry, she's still dealing with the whole 'there's more than a single world created by our great lord in heavens'] . And, oh, geez, a female goddess?] I see... then your world has a goddess... [And he named his pet after her. Oh... weird]

It does. There are those that don't interpret her as such however. [ She's probably the closest thing his planet has to a real god at any rate. ]

Well, when times will come only the ones who believed in the only God.. or Goddess [She doesn't want to be rude... will be saved and the others'll have to face the truth and pay for they errors-

'And there she starts again...' murmurs the cubone in his language before sighing and deciding to pay attention only at the emolga on the other side of the screen, smiling at the critter.

-but! [ And she seems to realize she was spacing again.] How rude from me, I didn't even introduce myself: my name's Jehanne, pleased to meet you.

[ Trying to explain the Lifestream would likely just confuse her. He isn't sure he feels like bothering. ]

I am Sephiroth. A pleasure.

[ Minerva tilts her head. She's a bit confused by talk of Gods and being saved. ] Does she say weird stuff like that a lot?'

[Indeed, it wouldn't be a good idea.]

Pleasure it's all mine, sir.

[The cubone sighs] 'All the time... I don't really get it but she's some kind of religious freak in her world...' [That's not really nice, Gilles...]

[ Well good thing he decided he doesn't want to talk about it. ]

Have you found it difficult to adjust to the situation?

[ Minerva hangs closer to the Xtransceiver again, this time being more careful not to fall. ] 'She seems nice though... This guy doesn't talk about his world much so, I don't really know what he did there.'

Oh, a little at first... [her cubone grumbles something like 'liar', she's still adjusting herself in Unova and she's still far from accepting the different world] What about you, sir?

[The ground pokemon shrugs, looking up at his trainer, then moves closer to the Xtransceiver] 'She is nice, she's just really weird. And... your trainer sounds like a pleasant person so far'

Not particularly aside from the Pokémon. [ He had to adjust to not slicing monsters into little pieces for attacking him. ]

'Erm' [ She glances at her trainer. ] 'He's in a good mood today. Some days though... I think he wants to just kill everything.'

I would say that they are much like children, in that respect. Taking pleasure in even the slightest of compliments.

Perhaps for many that is true but, I've met several that are quite a bit different.

Stark, that is, a Blaziken of mine, is much more mature than my other two, true. Although he can often act no better.

[Much like the one he was named after, then. Loki's thinking he'll have to be more careful when giving out names next time.]

They all seem to have their moments.

[ His Vulpix is usually mature but, will sometimes childishly bicker with his Emolga. ]

Much like humans.

Perhaps... [he ponders.] like any species.

For I am not human, yet those of my realm are much the same.

[He is going with 'Aesir', here. It's a nice lie, and one he likes to tell himself still.]

[ Sephiroth probably never would have guessed you weren't human. ]

I would not be surprised to find there are those that would be offended by the comparison.
