Accumula's Town Square was very pleasant. It reminded Thomas of Hyde Park in London, although of course the Town Square was much smaller. Not nearly as impressive. However, the basic principle was the same: a park in the middle of a city. Thomas found the neatly groomed appearance of the park -- it's trimmed grass and shapely trees, the neat little stone paths and the fountain -- all very welcome differences from the overgrown, poorly tended wilderness of Route 1.

Which is why he chose it as a perfect location to study his new book. Sitting on a park bench, Thomas held a to-go cup full of sub-par coffee in his left hand, and, lying across his knees, a book labeled Pokemon Battle Strategy. A Lillipup lay curled up next to his feet, sleeping soundly. Thomas was regretting purchasing this particular book, as it was clearly targeted towards more experienced trainers than he. There had only been two options at the Pokemart, though, and the other had clearly been intended for children. Still, as he puzzled over lists of type advantages, he thought that a couple of cutesy illustrations might have made him feel better.

He took a sip of his coffee, grimacing at the taste, and looked around briefly. He noted that, yes, Dodger was still sitting on the edge of the fountain staring at all the coins people had thrown in. That was good; the Teddiursa had been ready to leap in earlier. Thomas frowned, hoping that he still didn't have plans to do so -- it was winter, after all, the water would be icy -- but at least if he was distracted by the coins he wouldn't go around pick-pocketing people. His gaze wandered lazily away from Dodger to the few people milling about, looking for anyone he recognized and anyone interesting who he didn't.

((Just wanted to ~officially~ move Thomas to Accumula, haha. He is so super exciting. If anyone replies, feel free to use [actionspam], I'll match you :) ))

[The Xtransceiver screen flickers to life, revealing a very confused-looking Thomas. He is wearing his fancy Victorian coat over a modern outfit and a baseball cap whose brim he fiddles with self-conciously. He still isn't used to the hat and is worried he looks ridiculous, which he does, kind of. When the screen turns on he blinks and brings his hand down.]

Oh, hello. I've turned it on. At least I think? Hmm...

[He taps his finger on the screen, causing the audio to thump loudly. The camera shifts as Thomas's arm gets pulled downward by a Teddiursa, its two arms hooked around Thomas's elbow. Its face comes on screen and it grins mischievously. Thomas shakes his arm and dislodges the cub.] Stop that, Dodger! [The camera rights itself, focusing back on Thomas's face. Blue skies and a tree are in the background, and not much else. Thomas squints at the screen.]

Oh, I do hope I've done this correctly. I think I'm talking to the people who were at the Entralink? Anyway. Hello. Miss McBride and I have been travelling together since we left the Entralink and are now on our way to... what was it? Um. Accumula Town. We are on Route 1 now, although hopefully not for much longer, ha ha. Perhaps some of you will be in Accumula Town, also? Mr. Engarde, Sir Meta Knight, Mr. Emmet, Mr. N? And anyone I did not meet, of course.

[He pauses, looking away from the screen thoughtfully.]

I am just making assumptions, now, but I think it may be important for us to keep in touch with one another. We don't come from this world, after all, and that makes us the same. [A weak laugh. He is remembering the odd appearances of some of the people he saw in the Entralink.] Well, we are the same in one aspect, anyway. We do not belong here. At least, I do not think so. Do you? [A persistent noise comes from off-screen. Ursa, ursa! Thomas looks towards it.] What is it? I fed you already...

((Well, here goes nothing! I'm going to run with the description of Nuvema Town as seen in the anime, since a town with three houses and a lab is kind of weird. Hope that is okay! And I dunno if we were supposed to teleport somewhere specifically within Nuvema. YAY MAKING STUFF UP Let me know if I'm doing it wrooong))
((ETA: It's not letting me add new tags! I tried to add [oc] thomas sinclair (ou), and @nuvema town.))

The last syllable Thomas spoke before the teleport pad took him away still lingered in the air. Thomas blinked several times as if to clear the image of the Entralink out of his head and to come to terms with the reality in front of him. "Bloody... outstanding," he said quietly, exhilarated by the whole ordeal. He took in his surroundings.

He was standing on a dock looking out into the ocean. A frigid winter wind blew over the waves and onto the dock, making the tails of Thomas's coat flap out behind him. Thomas shivered and was glad that he had dressed fairly warmly back in England. He turned around and saw that Nuvema Town -- if he had indeed teleported to the correct place -- was a rural little town surrounded by rolling hills. It reminded him of Westbury, actually, (where his father's manor was), except that it was clearly a harbor town and Westbury was inland.

A bench sat near where he had teleported in, just off the dock. Beside it was the wooden pole of a street light, and stapled to the pole was a flyer that read:

Welcome Entralink Travelers!
Nuvema Town does not have a Pokemon Center
Professor Juniper will provide free lodging and healing at her lab
Please enjoy your stay in Nuvema Town!
Nuvema Town - The Start of Something Big!

Thomas read this doubtfully. He put his bag on the bench and sat down beside it, hoping that Sandra would teleport in soon. He wouldn't quite admit it to himself, but going into town on his own seemed overwhelming. Several people walked by on the sidewalk behind the bench and Thomas gave them nervous, courteous smiles. He saw that they looked oddly at his clothes, and Thomas felt very out of place. Well, he thought, they are dressed very plainly, anyway. Perhaps they are just... unused to fine fashion. Yes, that's it exactly.
