Fourth Card - Clothes Make the Trainer

 It's been a strange few 'days' for the past bit thanks to all that dreaming, but Yuuma is happy to wake up fully refreshed and ready to get a move on. So maybe his back's a little stiff from sleeping under a tree on Route 3 but...

"Phaaaaaaaaa... Those were weird dreams..." Nonetheless, pushing on! He's wearing NEW clothes now! Though his jacket will be tied around his waist due to the weather of course. But hey! Wearing a decent t-shirt and jeans...

And shoes!

Those are kind of important.

A trilling sound comes from his side- the pokemon have woke up too, and they seem about ready to pack up themselves. "Ah- hah! You guys didn't have weird dreams too right..?"

"...Admittedly, I am considering that..."

"Eh?"

Eventually, Yuuma HAS to realize that he left his X-Transceiver feed rolling.

[He might realize that it's on when a few noises of shock start coming out of the device on his arm.

You see, Subaru was quite confused to end up in Accumula Town's Pokemon Center instead of Nuvema Town, like he was hoping. He was hoping to see if there was a navigation or map function on the XTranseiver. But the navigation screen is smaller than what he's used to with the Hunter's navigation screen, and so he presses the wrong button, and...]

"Eh? What's this...?"

Eh? Oh! Hey! I've never met you before..!

"Uueh?" [Oh, a person. Oops.] "Sorry, I'm a little new with this device...I was kind of trying to pull up a map. I didn't interrupt anything, did I?

[Well, at least he's polite.]

Nahhh, I just woke up..! [Most wouldn't be so happy after that..!]

Oh- So you're new here then? You didn't get caught in that dream stuff did you? [Yuuma, what makes you so sure you weren't the only one..!?]

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Dreams, huh? I guess that's what it was. People kept telling me it was their own memories..."

[And a thoughtful expression appears on his face.]

"Well... It felt more like a dream to me..." Dreams ARE memories you- ohhh well...

[ryuusei_subaru]

"If you say so." [There's a mild smile on his face, but otherwise he looks rather neutral about it.]

"Ah- but that's not important..! I'm Yuuma Tsukumo! How about you?"

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Oh-I'm Hoshikawa Subaru." [And then a thoughtful expression crosses his face for a few moments before it's replaced by a look of shock.]

"Eh? Are you the Yuuma-kun that Astral-san was talking about?"

"Ah- You met Astral..!?"

That answers it.

"Un, in one of those dream-memories...I couldn't see him without my Visualizer, though. Is he with you now?"

[Subaru, you neglected to tell Yuuma what a Visualizer is.]

"Eh- Of course he is, he's right-" Wait.

"You can see him!!" Happy Yuuma is happy and not paying attention to the rest of the sentence. Oops.

[ryuusei_subaru]

[Subaru makes a surprised noise, then a sheepish sort of chuckle.]

"Only when wearing these, yes..." [And he fingers the green-tinted glasses on his head.]

He's still gonna go to Nacarene first, for the Grimsley plot though. :|a

"Eh..? Those things let you see him?" Hoh. "Cool..! We should meet up..!!"

"Mmm. Somehow I ended up in Accumula Town after all those dreams, so I do want to go back to Nuvema Town first, so..."

[And he chuckles a bit.] "It'll take me a while to catch up, I think."

"Alright..! Well, I'm going to be going to Nacarene with Shinta..." Though..

"How come you're going back to Nuvema though..?"

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Mmm, when I went through the Entralink portal, I ended up in people's dreams instead of Nuvema Town, and then I ended up here after all those dreams. I heard there was a lab in Nuvema Town, so I originally wanted to go there..."

[kattobingu_ore]

"A lab?" Of course he wouldn't know. Wasn't paying attention. "What sort of lab would they have there.."

"...Pokemon lab..?"

[ryuusei_subaru]

[Neither Astral's waves nor his voice actually gets through the communicator due to it likely just not channeling that frequency well enough, so Subaru does not hear the blue being's words. However...]

"I heard it was a Pokemon lab...it sounded like a good place to get some information, and possibly help with a technological problem of mine..."

"He is having technological problems?"

"Eh? What's wrong?"

[ryuusei_subaru]

"It's just a device that came with me from my world, the Hunter VG. From what I can figure out on this Xtransiever, it pretty much serves similar functions. There's no problem with it, it's just that there's no network to power it here, so I was thinking of modifying it to work with a different power source..."

[But...if it's mostly the same...why would you want to change it, Subaru?]

"But if they're both the same, then why do you need 'another one'?"

[ryuusei_subaru]

"It's mostly for personal reasons, really. It's my source of ID and my own account of money, as well as my Battle Cards. It's also War-Rock's home, and he can't be visible or solid without it."

"War-rock?"

"Ah- The dragon being that was with Subaru..."

"Ah- you know someone like Astral??"

"...I wouldn't classify it in that way..."

"Ah, War-Rock's made of Denpa, so he's usually invisible to the human eye. Denpa's also what we use as our energy source back home, so he likes to live in technology back in our home, and usually he's in my Hunter."
