Fourth Card - Clothes Make the Trainer

 It's been a strange few 'days' for the past bit thanks to all that dreaming, but Yuuma is happy to wake up fully refreshed and ready to get a move on. So maybe his back's a little stiff from sleeping under a tree on Route 3 but...

"Phaaaaaaaaa... Those were weird dreams..." Nonetheless, pushing on! He's wearing NEW clothes now! Though his jacket will be tied around his waist due to the weather of course. But hey! Wearing a decent t-shirt and jeans...

And shoes!

Those are kind of important.

A trilling sound comes from his side- the pokemon have woke up too, and they seem about ready to pack up themselves. "Ah- hah! You guys didn't have weird dreams too right..?"

"...Admittedly, I am considering that..."

"Eh?"

Eventually, Yuuma HAS to realize that he left his X-Transceiver feed rolling.

"It's mostly for personal reasons, really. It's my source of ID and my own account of money, as well as my Battle Cards. It's also War-Rock's home, and he can't be visible or solid without it."

"War-rock?"

"Ah- The dragon being that was with Subaru..."

"Ah- you know someone like Astral??"

"...I wouldn't classify it in that way..."

"Ah, War-Rock's made of Denpa, so he's usually invisible to the human eye. Denpa's also what we use as our energy source back home, so he likes to live in technology back in our home, and usually he's in my Hunter."

[kattobingu_ore]

"Ahhhh so that's why..." Well. "Good luck then! Hope that lab has something for you!"

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Hehe, thank you, Yuuma-kun...I hope so too. It's a little tiring listening to War-Rock complain about how cramped the Xtransiever is compared to the Hunter..."

[And then Subaru seems to be listening to something before looking slightly off to the bottom left of the screen, clearly addressing the aforementioned War-Rock.]

"Well, I admit you don't complain that often, but you complain enough for it to be a headache!"

"AH- You mean he's in your XTransceiver right now..!?"

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Ah, he is. I told you, he likes holing up in devices..."

[kattobingu_ore]

"I didn't expect him to be in the one you were using though..."

"Is it different from how I reside within the key at times then?"

Yuuma turns to shout back at 'thin air'- "Of course it is..!!"

[ryuusei_subaru]

[While Yuuma's shouting at 'thin air', Subaru's listening quietly to apparently nothing.]

"Mmm, he says it's just cramped in there because the Xtransiever isn't made to hold something like him, and it's different technology anyways..."

"Mmmm... If it's something for a different world, that's expected right..?"

"If that is the case, wouldn't anything found within the Pokemon Lab likely be ineffective?"

"Hehhhhhh don't say that..!!"

"Mmh. It makes it unlikely that I'd find something in the lab, but since there are Pokemon that can see War-Rock, there might be a chance, right?"

[There's an expression of determination on his face for a brief second as he contemplates this.]

And finally the similarities come rushing in.. ;u;

"Nn, I gu- AH! That's what Astral was just saying..!!!"

"Eh? Really? But I didn't hear him over the communicator..."

"Ah, well he's right here... ...Oh! It might be the transceiver- Shinta sometimes sees a hazy bit where Astral is, but he couldn't over the transceiver."

...Nope. He saw STATIC.

"Hm...I wonder..." [And Subaru slips on his Visualizer, only to let out a noise of shock.]

"Eh?! Noise?!"

"Noise?"

"Ah- I believe he thought I was 'noise' when we initially met."

"What's noise..!?"

"...I just said..."

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Ah-it's the waste product of Denpa machinery in our world...it looks somewhat like black static, I guess you could say...it's completely different from the way I saw Astral-san last time..."

"Ya don't think there's interference or something from that Xtransiever-thingy?"

"Maybe..."

"Well... There's no one here but Astral..."

There's a small bark from off screen. "Ah- And the pokemon, ahahah..."

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Maybe I'm just seeing him differently over the XTransiever...it's not made to process these kinds of energy, I bet."

[Subaru just shrugs before sliding the Visualizer back on his forehead, before waving a little bit for the benefit of the offscreen Pokemon...whoever it is.]

"That's probably it... Shinta got static so... AH-!"

'Kuribolt', at that moment, decides to jump up for a 'wave'. "Rff!"

"Uuueh!" [Yes, he's quite surprised, enough to actually jump back a little.]

"What sort of Pokemon was that?!"

"Ah! That was Kuribolt- Ah... She's a zorua, hang on-" There's a bit of screen shaking as he attempts to catch the puppy and hold her at the screen. "Ta-daaah!"

"Rf!"

"Oh, hello!" [And he can't help but giggle a little.]

"She's pretty cute!"

"Yea, she's great! And-"

"Wikikikikiiiii!" "Mun..."

Sudden swarm of pokemon-

"AHHCK-"

[Okay, Subaru can't help it. He's laughing a little. So is War-Rock, although he's being a lot more blatant and raucous about it.]

"It looks like they like you a lot!"
