EVENT POST - FLOCESSY SHEARING SEASON!
Step right up! As part of a welcome to the other-worlders who have reappeared, the farmers of Flocessy Ranch have opened their gates to a country fair! Aside from getting deals on woolen clothing, there's going to be hay rides, corn mazes, berry bobbing...
One of the gates is open to let people meet with the mareep there, and with all the excitement around it's impossible not to feel happy!
"HERDIEEEEER! OIIII, HERDIER! COME BOY!"
One of the farmers seems to be looking for the ranch's herdier, but surely that's nothing to worry about.
[[NOTE: The tags in this event post will NOT be grouped into one event, until entering a certain area; those who do so will be PM'd with the option of being entered into what will be posted as a group log in the final week of the month. Other than that, enjoy! Tags will come from both the Mod account, and the NPC account for Yuuma Tsukumo; otherwise, people are free to mingle!]]

The Pokevengers are all out, so you might see them around, too, getting into trouble. One thing Loki isn't too bothered about, and is in fact more amused at the potential for havoc than anything else...
WILD NPC APPEARS
And while Loki's emolga tackles his face--
"AH! Loki!" Hey you're back! "Long time no see!"
Er. Yea. It shows.
Good thing Loki's still taller.no subject
They're called Frost Giants for a reason, y'know. He inclines his head in greeting - partly so that he can hide that smile that's threatening at the sight of Thor tackling Yuuma's face.
"It's been some time, yes. I rather became caught up in my own studies and travels."
Because he'd ended up staying as well, but that didn't mean he'd felt the need to stay in one place when he realised they were basically in a sort of hiatus.

Zack has decided he's going to run around and greet every single Mareep... And probably whoever else he spots. Hopefully his enthusiasm won't scare anyone.
no subject
HEY YOU'RE NOT A MAREEP--Well look who's been busy complying to his pokemon's strange and bizarre requests of fluffy woolen clothing?
also avoiding birds"Hn?" He recognizes that arcanine--so if he's here, then--
"Hazel?" You out there?
...
AH, he'll just give Zack a few scratches for now.

Hazel pauses to pick up an Eevee, that doesn't seem inclined to follow on its own like her other Pokémon, on her way over to them. It doesn't seem happy about this and pouts grumpily.
"Jack. It's uh, been a while, hasn't it?" Ignore the disgruntled Eevee. He loves his trainer, really. He just wishes she would pick him up less. The joys of being small and fluffy with a dislike of too much cuddling.
who's got feathers and got a 5000 year long canon update-- 8U
Must have been gone longer than expected or something. At any rate, Jack's team of oversized gals are inspecting and likely chattering away with any of Hazels, meeting new friends and old.
He crosses his arms. "It's going to take a bit to get used to the seasons again..." Someone doesn't sound pleased about it--but he appears to have at least dropped some of the temper...
no subject
Most of her Pokémon are happy to be socializing except for one that isn't in sight and an Eevee that is pawing at her legs wanting to be picked up. Since the one she's holding has started squirming she's happy enough to switch them.
And the one that isn't in sight? An Altaria flying around nearby. She's spotted the gathering though and starts to come in for a landing... Her mischievous streak shows itself as she seems to be aiming to land one someone's head. Will she be spotted before she gets there? If it helps she's not really all that fast.
no subject
Sadly while his age and temper levels have 'swapped', his ability to detect THINGS has not--for a moment, he's distracted by the farm hand who's still calling out for their herdier. And so--
"G-GNH--"
ALTARIA ARE TOO BIG FOR THIS.
IT'S GONNA HAPPEN.

"Yuffie! No! Stop that right now!" She drops the Eevee she's holding in her haste to get out Yuffie's Poké ball because the bird is being unusually stubborn and ignoring her trainer while instead just trying to keep her balance. Just give Hazel a second, she has more than she's used to on her. A few are dropped on the ground as she digs in her bag for the right one.
no subject
"DON'T DO THAT!" He says that like it'll unders- oh yea...
At any rate, he's less flustered and more annoyed--no shrinking today, no sir! He does at leas attempt to shove the bird off to glare at him though.
no subject
Aha! The correct Poké ball is found. Yaaay. Thankfully the naughty Pokémon is too busy with her taunts to notice.
"Time out," Hazel grumbles as she finally manages to put the bird away. She takes a minute to pick up the stuff she's dropped before saying anything else. "I'm really sorry. She's never done anything quite like that before." Of course she's also never been out of her Poké ball with Jack nearby before either.
no subject
"Just keep her in the ball," he adds with a bit of a grumble, closing his eyes. Darn birds...
no subject
"I should've been watching her better." She blames herself for not making sure her naughtiest Pokémon didn't get in trouble. "Did she scratch you at all?" She has to ask since she can't really see the top of his head.
Cloud looks away guiltily. He didn't mean to make his trainer feel bad by letting that happen.
no subject
. . .
"I'm fine."
no subject
The rancher still calling for the missing Herdier is pretty distracting too. Zack whines. He's starting to worry about that.
no subject
Jack's pokemon are getting a little antsy too, or at least the ones still with him (namely bullet). He turns toward where the Farmhand is shouting, narrowing his eyes.
"...How long has he been doing that?"
no subject
She looks at Zack's worried face and her mind is made up.
"I think I want to help look." She's just gonna make sure all her younger Pokémon are safely in their Pokéballs. She doesn't need to be worrying about them too.
jack u are not a people person--
Ahh... There's no use in being surprised by it. As it is--nothing better to do (or so he tells himself--truth be told, he's worried as well), and so he tromps over to the farmhand.
The farmhand, needless to say, is rather alarmed. "Ah-- C... Can I help--"
"Where did you last see the herdier?"
"EH-- W-Well, he's probably just wandering the woods... He'll come when he's called, so--"
"Answer me!"
"AH--"
someone step in before jack does a stupid thing--
no subject
"Um, you've been calling for a while and seem really worried. We just want to help."
Zack whines. 'Pleeeaase?'
no subject
"He would have been around the north gate," he explains, gesturing toward the woods. "There's a trail that loops around there..."
"Hn." Jack, of course, takes that as his 'leave'. "Then we search the trail!"
"IT- It's really not necessary--!"
Too late friend there's a search party going on.
no subject
She's just going to climb on Zack's back. No way she's going to try to keep up on foot since he's likely to run off if he hears or smells something that could lead them to the missing Pokémon.
Ok--I'm going to be replying from the Mod account for NPC from here on alright? :0
"I'll search from above," he starts, before taking off. "Bullet will pass any news to you!"
"Reiiii!" Yea! Whoever gets there first gets to save the day! What a great reiuniclus uh--
As it is, he's soon flying over the woods and trails, eyes peeled--with the tree growth however, Hazel may well have better luck with Zack's nose.
Okay
Zack pauses to try to get a scent when they reach the trail and then he's off again at a slower pace. Wouldn't do to have to stop or swerve suddenly and end up throwing Hazel.
no subject
The further they go in, the quieter it becomes, with even the wind seeming to silence...
no subject
"Something's wrong," Hazel whispers. She hates it when forests got quiet. In her limited experience it generally meant a bad storm was coming or something dangerous was there. "Let's hurry." She's too worried about the Herdier to be creeped out enough to get her butt out of the woods.
no subject
"D-IER!"
A yelping cry, and a panicked bark--faint, but unmistakably pained.
"HER--!"
And again, the sound meets the air, distant whines muffled by the trees and leaves around them. But then, what could the cause be?
no subject
They were probably going to reach the herdier any second now. Sounds like something is hurting it.
Is Jack close enough to hear the commotion if it comes to a battle?
no subject
North west! North west! Trainer!
Trainer yes, good, no--and once they're close enough...
"D-ER!"
"Come on you stupid mutt... Get in the cage!"
-CRACK-
"Rr- RERR--!"
no subject
"Hey!" Hazel is sure she hasn't been this angry since she got to this world. "What do you think you're doing?!" Angry enough to yell at a suspicious person without thinking is very angry indeed for her.
And a snarling Arcanine so angry he's spitting a bit of flame. Only thing keeping him from attacking is Hazel being on his back.
Cloud is waiting for an indication that battle will be necessary and Eiko has fallen behind enough that she isn't close enough to see what's going on yet.
the game made this so hilariously anticlimactic gosh--
"Hah! Looks like I'll be taking in a lot more than just a mutt," he cackles, moving himself into a ready stance. The herdier behind him gives a pitful whine, struggling to pick himself up from the ground behind him. "Once I'm done with you, this should be easy..."
Easy, yes...
However it appears the grunt fails to notice a reuniclus appearing behind him, moving to heal the herdier. And a shadow as well may be coming in overhead...
no subject
She slides off of Zack. He steps forward and snarls warningly. Cloud steps up next to him, glaring.
Eiko has finally caught up but, Hazel motions her to stay back a little.
"I doubt this will be easy."
no subject
Before the grunt can do more than grin challengingly, the shadow comes closer, swooping down to land behind Hazel's pokemon with a leering glare--with the form of his more demonic self, feathered, serpentine body and blazing eyes, the grunt's smirk needless to say fades quickly.
"H... Hahh..."
"Are you ready to fight then?" Jack taunts, lifting his head as the grunt trembles.
"HAHHH! Like I'm fighting that sort of pokemon!" he shouts, tossing something at them as he bolts. The 'something' explodes with light, and the grunt fades with it. "I won't forget this... Consider this your warning! Team Plasma will return!"
"NGH--" SFFFF LIGHT--
no subject
After she can see again the first thing she does is make sure all the Pokémon are accounted for.
"He ran away..." Not that she's surprised. Jack was pretty scary most of the time after all.
Zack paws at his face for a bit then starts sniffing the ground. Looks like he wants to give chase but...
"Zack, no. I don't think going after him would do much good." And they couldn't really know whether the grunt was entirely alone.
The Arcanine whines but, doesn't run off on his own.
no subject
As it is, the Herdier limps up a little, sniffing around before thanking everyone in his language. Bullet, meanwhile, seems to spot something on the ground not far from Zack--'Something there?'
It certainly looks like there might be, given the light sparkle!
no subject
"Uh..." Does she need to remind Jack that he's scary? Maybe. "I'm not really surprised that he ran."
Since the trainers seem distracted Zack paws at the shiny object a bit then picks it up. He goes over to sit next to Hazel and wait for a good time to give someone the thing.
no subject
What Zack in the meanwhile has found, appears to be a TM... Perhaps a little too dirtied to read right now. They'll have to get it cleaned at a Pokemon center later.
no subject
She turns to Zack to get ready for the trip and gets the TM dropped in her hands.
"A TM?" She doesn't let it delay her from getting on the Pokémon's back though. She's tired and it's not like it's going to disappear. If Jack wants to know where it came from they can talk on the way back. If he doesn't, well, she can get it cleaned up and ask him if he wants it later. "Let's just get back."
