...Well, I've been training since I became a human. And because I grew up like I did, I knew about the Challenge first-hand - so I knew we had to train extra hard. If I didn't, it'd be like handing over the world to the man with the legendary!!
The man with the legendary - right. Is he here?
No. I haven't seen him, and I'm glad.
[A long pause, as Iris ponders something.]
...You know... I didn't listen to my Pokemon back then. We didn't have time, after all. A trainer could roll up with a Joltik or a Tynamo or a Blitzle, and then I'd have to say goodbye to everybody. It always hurts to say goodbye to a friend...
[There's a silence between the two parties. Swoobat then speaks, quietly.]
...You won't need to say goodbye again, Miss Iris. I promise you.
[More silence. Up in the air, Iris is clinging to Swoobat a bit, as they continue to soar across the skies. Iris then started to speak again, clearly trying to hold back the tears.]
You know? This world is a lot safer then home. But I've still failed Skyla - I promised her I'd fix her, n-no matter what. A-and now I c-can't...
[And now crying. She can't hold it back. She's just so... so scared. But then she gulps, and stops herself from crying.]
Listen, Swoobat. While we're flying... can we fly around the region? I wanna see the differences in this universe.
...Sure, Miss Iris! Sure!

"Yeah - all my Pokemon were taken! Including one I was meant to be looking after for Uncle Alder."

And then, suddenly, Iris stood on her Swoobat and pointed in the direction of Striaton! "Well then - I hope you can keep up! Swoobat, use Super Fast Fly!" However, Swoobat is just going at a casual speed.

It looks kind of silly.

After a bit, Iris looked to Estelle. "Striaton is a really pretty city, from the few times I've been there. Do you want me to tell you all about it?"

"Wah~! You go Breeze!" Estelle cheered, her Swellow sighing as he basically kept up with little effort.

"Alder? Who might that be? I think I've heard the name somewhere before~" Estelle pondered. "Oh! Well I know there is the Trainer School and this enormous restaurant, but I'm not familiar with it's other locales I'm afraid~"

"Alder - he's the champ of Unova! The strongest trainer. But... right now, he's wandering the region, trying to find a way to save it. At least, back home. I don't know how he is in this universe." Iris explained, looking out below her. "Hm... it'll still be a few hours before we arrive in Striaton," she muttered, "so I'll tell you a bit about the area around it as well!"

"Striaton is a place where us Gym Leaders used to meet up a lot, until one of the Gym Leaders went nuts. That's the main thing I want to check on. But - the gym leader is also a cook and waiter, at that restaurant! It's pretty amazing!"

"The Champion, is it~? He sounds like an honorable person~ Maybe I'll meet him some day! Just kidding~" Estelle commented, wondering if he looked like Don Whitehorse perhaps.

"Oh dear, that must've been terrible to have someone you know act like that!" Estelle sympathized... some unpleasant memories starting to surface, so much that it looked like she was about to cry.

"Oh, so the restaurant is a Pokemon Gym as well? Are all gyms usually this dual-purpose? I've heard the gym in Nacrene serves as a library of sorts..." Estelle pondered, thinking that maybe Gym Leaders needed more income than their titles provided.

"He's a really nice guy, and he saved my life. I'm sure we'll see him one day! We've got to!" Iris said, fired up a little. "He'll be able to fix everything, too! He's smart and strong and also very honourable! He's very carefree, too! Someday, I want to be just like him!"

But at that second part, Iris suddenly grew a bit quiet.

"...It's because of that guy with the legendary, I've been told. H-he drove Cress m-mad, and... and..." Iris then shook her head, trying to take her mind off of it. She would have liked to know Cilan and Chili more. Maybe they're alive in this world...

Suddenly changing her tone, Iris decided to focus on her instructing. The reason she's being so open? It's because of this form change. She thinks there's no reason to hide secrets, if she's stuck like this. "Yup, pretty much all of them are! Striaton is a restarant, Nacrene is a library, Castelia is an art gallary for the gym leader's art, Nimbasa is a roller coaster and part of the amusement park, Driftveil is part of Clay's mining operation, Mistralton is also an air strip and grows food for everybody - that's the gym I run back home, you know, along with Skyla!
...but Irrirus and Opulucid are both just normal gyms. Except, except, Uncle Drayden is the mayor of Opulucid City - so that's his out of gym job!" And that has been your lession on the gyms. For now.

"Legendary?" Estelle inquired, curious as to what this word meant. She had obviously not read too much about this world yet so he lack of knowledge on Pokemon grades was evident.

"...that's horrible," Estelle's tears were evident as she reached out to clasp Iris' hands but they were kind of too far apart, so she just sat down again, wiping her tears.

"Wow~ The Gym Leaders must be pretty busy people, hm?" Estelle giggled, thinking how dedicated to their work these people must be.

"Legendaries are... well, they're the strongest of the strong. They can do anything!" Iris explained, looking to the sky ahead of them. "That is, if they want to. When we get to Nacrene, I'm sure we'll be able to find some books on them - so I can show you what they're like."

Iris decided she wouldn't speak more of what happened then, however. She wanted to see if they were alive in this world. And then she'd look to Nacrene, and even ahead. To see if everybody was fine...

"Yeah, we're really busy! It's a hard job... but it's worth it - to see everything and everyone happy!"

"Oh my, they sound quite fascinating~ I'll be sure to read up on them when I get to Nacrene~" Estelle gasped, thinking what Legendary Pokemon could possibly look like. Maybe like the Entelexeia in her world? Who knew.

"Mm~ You all sound like the Guilds in my world~ Though the Imperial Guards have a duty to keep the people safe, the Guilds can go beyond what the Imperial Forces are allowed to do~" Estelle commented, humming to herself. "The monsters were much more savage in my world, like the time the Pokemon were attacking us a while back, but it seems Pokemon and humans live more in harmony in this world."

"Guilds?" Iris asked, tilting her head.

"Wait - you were in a world where the monsters were violent? Like, all the time? That's awful!!"

"Guilds are groups of people of different specialties who band together to take up any odd jobs in my world. I was in one after I first started traveling~ It was so exciting day by day~" Estelle giggled, reminiscing fondly of her travels across Terca Lumireis.

"Yes, it's quite horrible! Cities were built with barriers to keep the monsters out, or had high walls if they couldn't. Traveling was a dangerous affair if you didn't know how to fight," Estelle sighed. "It seems that Pokemon and humans have a better relationship in this world than the monsters and humans in mine..."

"Wow! That sounds like fun - kind of like travelling parties... except they're normally on the same quest. Or similar ones - like, sometimes trainers and co-ordinators travel together!"
Iris. You should explain concepts before you just toss them around.

Oh, whatever, you're not stopping.
"Yeah - people and Pokemon are close and that's great! They'd never attack people - unless that person was trying to hurt them, of course! Pokemon aren't defenseless - I'm sure you can feel that! And I'd be sad if cities didn't allow Pokemon in - they're my closest friends."

"They're exactly like traveling parties~ Though not everyone travels together sometimes if the group is big enough I suppose~" Estelle giggled. "And Pokemon have a range of abilities if I understand correctly... Oh! Look over there!" Estelle gasped, spotting an unmistakable restaurant ahead.

It seems they've arrived.
