WELCOME TO THE RELIC CASTLE

I shall be your guide and snarky narrator - replying to most comments with a bit of humour - acting as your Game Master for this adventure though this castle. The goal? To explore and find the Dark Stone. There are seven stories, and you will need to get to the bottom. Please note that if we don't wrap this up by Halloween, the Pokemonfication event will still be happening.

How this is gonna work? There's gonna be comments down there. When somebody solves the floor, then the next floor will go up. Simple? I sure hope so!

[Luckily for Nepeta, Eridan was far too interested in... this wall of rock to even bother paying attention to his surroundings. Obviously, lack of surveillance of his surroundings is definitely not one of his shortcomings. By the time recognized the other person's voice it was too late to attempt to shield himself from a pounce.

Well, that wasn't really a pounce. And he might just be slightly disappointed that it was far from one of those tacklepounces he had seen her regularly give Equius.

He had gotten over his very embarrassing rejection from kittycat shipper cave girl a long time ago too. No really. But that's far from the main point. He's not a gosh darn hipster either, why do people keep saying that?]

Nepeta? [Eridan quickly tries to mask his surprise at seeing her here, instead focusing on removing his sole pokeball from his scarf to prevent Nepeta from accidentally knocking it off and having it fall into an unreachable hole in the ground. The scarf batting he doesn't mind much, he could definitely get used to it.]

Are you done yet?

Duh! Who else? [She takes a moment to look deeply thoughtful about his next question, and then she grins.] Nope! [The scarf-playing continues for just a little while longer before she finally stops rolling around on the ground and sits up, leaving the poor hipster accessory alone. It's okay, Eridan, you don't need to deny it.]

When did you get here, Eridan? Ooh, what kind of Pokémon did you get? [And now Nepeta has noticed the Pokéball that had been rescued from being senselessly beaten along with the scarf. Speaking of which, her Skitty has figured that this stripey dangly thing must be a cool toy since her trainer had been playing with it and has begun jumping up in an attempt to get to it. The woes of being tiny. Her trainer hasn't seemed to notice quite yet.]

Well since you are ki- [He pauses, remembering what Karkat had told him. Right, no calling kittycat shipper cave girl that, even if it exactly what she is. Got to play his cards right with this. Chances are he won't succeed.

As soon as his scarf is freed Eridan immediately brushed it, as though attempting to get dust off. Hey, it may be hipster but it's super trendy and goes well with his cape.]

I got here just yesterday. As for my Pokémon, I received one worthy of me. A Horsea. [Or at least he assumed that's what it was, that was all it seemed to be able to say. After a quick glance down Eridan had spotted the Pokémon Nepeta owned and almost immediately rolled his eyes. He's not surprised that she already had some sort of cat posse. Eridan also noticed the Skitty, which caused him to take his scarf and loop it around his neck again to keep it away from the prying paws of the felines present.]

[Nepeta offers that incomplete statement the most massively over-exaggerated eye rolling she can muster and then, noticing the shenanigans that a certain member of her 'cat posse' is causing, gently pulls Felicia away from the scarf and into her lap.]

Oh! I've been here for, like, ever. [By which she means 'a month and a half.' Close enough.] I've been the only troll, too! Ohh, a Horsea? Heehee, it sounds so cute! Horsea, Horsea, Horsea... [Ahh, horses. She misses horses. But back to that conversation—Nepeta reaches for her Luxio, who has just been walking around in circles near her, and drags him into her lap next to Felicia.] This is Leon! And then I got Felicia from an egg and I caught some funny flying thing a while ago.

[Eridan is thankful for the gesture, but either way he's keeping his scarf up. He didn't need anyone getting it dirty and leaving fur all over it.]

Ever? Exactly how long is ever for you? [Unless you know, land dwellers unsurprisingly have worse time management skills.] That I'm not surprised at. And no, it's not cute, it's majestic. [Cute implies weakness, and even if his Pokemon is at a low level it won't be for long.]

Well, your choice in Pokemon is definitely surprising. [Sarcasm, sarcasm everywhere. And he had no doubt that she'd soon acquire all Pokemon that resembled cats to build up her cat posse.]

Ummm... [Nepeta pauses and tries to count the weeks on her fingers.] A little more than a month! Maybe a month and a half? I'm not pawsitive. But it's been so weird being the only troll here! All of the humans keep asking me questions, heehee. [And she can't say she hasn't been enjoying being the neighborhood alien and all of the attention that status brings.]

Right, right, majestic. [Another exaggerated eye-rolling. 'Horsea' is entirely too adorable of a name for her to just completely discard the idea of it being tiny and huggable.] Oh, yeah, about as surpurrising as your seahorse. Can I see just how majestic it is?

Then you should have said that from the beginning to not waste time. [That latter part interests him very much. If they're amazed by a mere land dweller then he can't wait to see how much they'll fuss over him.] Good thing I'm here then, to take all that attention off your hands. I'll be able to explain things better and not riddle them with cat puns. [But he might have fish puns.]

It is, much more so than yours. [He scowls and reaches for his Pokeball, he'll show her.] Come out, Skyhorse. [Not much enthusiasm here, unlike the kids he saw battling who practically yelled out everything. Like the respectful stead it is the Horsea comes out when it's called and Eridan immediately picks it up.] See? Not cute. Majestic.

My explanations were purrfect! And for your infurmation, they really like my cat puns. [TAKE THAT. Okay, so maybe only one of the humans have really expressed their complete apurroval over the cat puns, but she's received mostly positive reception and not a single complaint, so that's something!]

Except they were probably muddled with some of the fuckin low class words you lowbloods use. The only reason they tolerated your cat puns is because humans are too nice to say what they actually feel. [FISH PUNS ARE BETTER. He's still sure that they'd be much more interested in him, but that's what happens when you're full of yourself.]

See? I told you so. [Smirking triumphantly at having proved her wrong. Luckily for her, it's very easy to fool Eridan.]

And since humans have disgustingly red blood and Eridan has a nice purple it means he's the best.] Of course they don't fuckin care about blood color! They're humans, all of them have the same blood color, of course they're goin to be amazed by your mediocre green color! [MAYBE I AM. BUT DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE AN ANEMONE OUT OF ME?

Eridan weighs the pros and cons of letting Nepeta hold his Pokemon. On one hand, she might end up feeding it to her cats, but he'd stop that, he still had his wand after all. (Even if he doesn't know that it can no longer do as much damage as it used to.)] Fine. But don't drop it or anythin. [Holds out the Horsea, who is happy as long as it simply gets attention.]

[There's a little part of her that's just shaking its head and saying how not worth it even trying is, which it definitely isn't, but stubbornness is getting the better of her. It's what Alternian law is based on so it's blasphemy to think it doesn't matter.] Then obviously I have to inform them what our blood and their blood means! Can't you see these humans are very simple creatures? [He's possibly not going to let this go unless the Nepeta agrees with him or the subject is changed. Chances are they'll humor him for a couple of minutes and then poke fun at it because they're all uncultured. Some of them are fun, others are just unbearable. Eridan had just crouched down to look at something when the Skitty had decided to bother him. At first Eridan scowls and glares at it, but the creature seems unphased. With a small sigh he grabs his scarf and dangles it just above the Skitty. Might as well, right? It's not like he thought the thing was cute or anything.]

Felicia, on the other hand, is absolutely thrilled by the offered toy and immediately pounces on it with a delighted mewl. She's entirely too engrossed by chewing and kicking at the scarf to notice whatever glowers of disapproval she's receiving. This is the best toy ever!]

Isn't it obvious? There's major treasures at the bottom of this place. [He gestures down to the floor as he says this. He knows this for a fact, because this is almost exactly like a FLARP session, minus any actual danger.]
