FINALLY THE EVENT

WELCOME TO THE RELIC CASTLE

I shall be your guide and snarky narrator - replying to most comments with a bit of humour - acting as your Game Master for this adventure though this castle. The goal? To explore and find the Dark Stone. There are seven stories, and you will need to get to the bottom. Please note that if we don't wrap this up by Halloween, the Pokemonfication event will still be happening.

How this is gonna work? There's gonna be comments down there. When somebody solves the floor, then the next floor will go up. Simple? I sure hope so!

I'm Iris - and back in my world, I was a gym leader! A strong one, too! [Note how she's not mentioning the city.
She's smiling a tiny bit, looking over Dave. No, no, he doesn't look familiar. But maybe he'll be a challenger in the future - if they come from the same universe. Iris, however, doubts it. He doesn't seem like somebody on the Challenge, at the very least. But then, the smile faded.]

I've been stuck here for months - and there's been no hints on how to get home. I mean, it's stupid! I don't want to be here - think about all the challengers who can't get their badges with me gone! And Salamence, too... [She loves that murderbeast. Isn't that clear? Shaking her head a little, Iris then looked over towards the stairs to the second floor.] I don't think this will send us home, but maybe it'll give us a hint to the how.

[He snaps his fingers.] Yeah! That's who you are. Gym leader Iris. Yeah, sorry, I really should have recognized you. It's just that Unova is really far away, you know? I hadn't planned on coming over here for a while.

It is very stupid. They stole my team! [He gestures towards the two Pokeballs clipped to his belt as if Iris would know the difference between those and his original team.] I mean... fuck! That is not cool. If this will get us back where we came from, I am all for it.

[Wait a sec...] Hey, I know why I can't get back to Johto -- plane tickets from Unova cost a fortune, man. Plus I gotta get back my Pokebros. But can't you just, like, walk back to your place? Or uh, Fly with one of these dudes? [He points towards Iris's little collection of flying Pokemon.]

Yeah - it is really far away from other regions! I can understand people not knowing of us.
I would just fly on home, but... [Slight pause, and a sigh - okay, so Iris was a little homesick.] This isn't my world either - mine's slightly different. [Now that's an understatement.] I'm not from here - I got teleported here too. Otherwise, I'd be soaring around the sky all the time, helping everybody more then the gym leaders have been doing here! Geeze, it seems like they don't put any effort into getting us home sometimes!
[Tinyrant over.
...Iris then looked to her team, then back to Dave.]
I caught these Pokemon here - they're not my main team. My main team is better-trained then these guys.

Riiight. [He frowns. From what he'd managed to glean by haphazardly paying attention to the network, this was an alternate dimension or some shit. He'd been hoping that'd just been a crazy theory.] Man, bummer. Pretty sophisticated kidnapping, though; guess we don't know who's behind it? Team Galactic tried some fancy shit with dimensions back in Sinnoh. Their leader got snatched by Giratina, so... wasn't the best plan I guess.

[He looked at the gathered Pokemon and smirked.] Yeah? My team is pretty awesome, too -- not this one. This one sucks. I got here with nothing but a Bulbasaur. That's some messed up shit.

No, we only know the how. And that's the most stupid thing! [Iris is not happy at all - especially at the ever-so-slight mention of Giratina.] But when I find the way, I'm going to kick their butt!

...Only a Bulbasaur?! And they expect it to survive out here?! [GAAASP!] While you're here, do you want to borrow my Krokorok?

Right on, I'll be right there with ya. [He grins, amused by the young gymleader's spunk.]

Pff, right!? Like I'm a ten-year-old or something. Thanks but no thanks, phantom kidnappers. I had to grind on some Rattatas and shit back in starter-town, and he's still pretty useless. [He sniffs disapprovingly. The implications of 'survive' seem to go over his head. He thinks Iris is just being dramatic.] But, uh, yeah! Sure! That'd be cool, I have a feeling this place is kinda over-leveled for my guys. This Doduo they sent seems kinda... I dunno, dumb. [He taps a knuckle on the top of one of the Pokeballs on his belt, presumably the one containing his new Doduo.]

[Iris is glad to have somebody else who wants to kick ass as much as she does. She is happy now.]
And when they gave me my Woobat, she got really hurt a few times! It's more and more like they want us to fail. [Iris looks from his Doduo-ball to her Doduo.] I guess it's the price they got for getting Fly... and their Fly isn't that good, anyway! When I asked mine to take me to Mistralton City, it took me here! But it'll be a good addition to my team, at least...
[And then she feels out and gets out her Krokorok's Pokeball - letting the Pokemon out.]
Listen, Krokorok - there's another trainer here, and he's only got a starter! Until it grows stronger - and until he's got his own full new team, too, could you stay with him?
[A growl comes out of the Pokemon.] Aww... come on! He needs help! I'll still take you flying when I can - we'll all go all around the world - and I'll let you meet Uncle Alder! And this guy seems like a good trainer, too... so, come on!
[And then, a sigh from the crocodile-like Pokemon, as he lowers his head in defeat.]
I think that's a yes!

[He grins at the Krokorok and gives him a little wave.] Yo, dude, thanks! Man, you gotta understand, all I got with me is a Bulbasaur and a derpy Doduo. [Dave's pretty interested in the Krokorok; don't see many Unova Pokemon outside Unova, after all. Other than his Scrafty, he can't recall the last time he'd seen one.] And, uh, right -- You can go flying with Iris anytime, bro, no problem!

[He blinks and looks back to Iris.] Uncle Alder? Like, Champion Alder? That's ace, man! He always seemed like such a chill dude. Didn't know you two were related.

And if it doesn't listen to you, let me know and I'll lay into him. My Pignite is super effective, after all. [Iris is semi-serious about this.]

Alder... he's not my real Uncle. [But...] But, he's okay with me calling him that - he did help raise me after saving my life, after all. Him and Uncle Drayden and Skyla are the closest I've got to family, you know - and I love them like a real family. [Because the rest of her family are Pokemon, and she can't love them like she used to because she's a full human now. Not that she's going to tell that to anybody. But... she still loves Skyla like a mummy? Even after everything? Okay that might be a bit creepy.] He is pretty chill, though! Sometimes, we can talk for hours and hours and then he has to continue wandering the lands. I hope he doesn't miss me too much...

[Dave gives the Krokorok a jokingly seriously look.] He should listen to me, I got my whole badge collection on me still. [He grins.] But, nah, we'll be cool, promise.

[He listens to Iris's story with vague interest, although all this going on about family is kind of super boring.] Yeah, that's really cool. Lance was a real asshole, I've been looking forward to battling Alder. It was supposed to be, like, a few years from now, after Hoenn even. But, what ya gonna do.

[He looks back to the Krokorok.] Hey, Krok, you wanna stay out of the 'ball or what? Eh, you're not too big, you can just stay out if that's cool with you, bro. Not sure when shit's gonna go down. [Shrug. He looks over to the staircase.] Dude said we're just supposed to go downstairs? They cool with us catching Pokemon in here?

[I'm sorry, but there's only one thing in that Iris is interested in. And she's gonna be looking pretty excited right now.]
You've met Lance?! Wow... I've never met him before! I'm sure his Pokemon are super strong, huh?
[But after a small pause...]
I guess it'd be okay to catch Pokemon here. I mean, I was here a bit ago, and that's where I caught Archen...

[Dave laughs.] Well, I dunno about met, I mean -- He was the champion back on Indigo Plateau, you know? He is pretty intense with that cape and everything. Yeah, not gonna lie, his team was crazy hard to beat. [He shrugs, looking a little smug.] But you two are both Dragon trainers, right? So that's pretty cool.

[He nods when she mentions the Archen.] Archen, that's one of your fossil guys, right? Didn't think fossils were wild anywhere, that's kinda weird. But hopefully Krok over here will help me catch some tough 'mons while we're here. Or at least train up Bulbasaur.

Yeah, I guess... [Iris was kind of a Dragon Tamer, wasn't she. Even if she normally only had flying-types - keeping her Salamence tame was what a Tamer did, right? Right.] I bet I could beat him, though! With my normal team, that is.

[...] Yeah, it is kind of weird. And even weirder - I've seen other fossils here, too! I'm sure you'll find a good capture here, though!

Sure you could! If you got any Ice moves you're golden. Oh, except for that fucking Gyarados, I swear to Arceus that's just cheating. [NOT A DRAGON. STOP PRETENDING, POKEMON GAMES]

That is weird, about the fossils. I mean, invasive species are one thing, right? It's not even that weird, you guys were gonna get invaded by Rattatas eventually anyway. But extinct Pokemon running around? [This is getting deep. Dave shakes his head.] Dunno what that means; things seem really screwed up, though. Do you think this stone they want us to find will actually do anything?
