One would think Jack Atlas far too proud to accept the offer of a lift from the entralink to Nuvema, but what do you know, the 'bird god' was dropped down by a bird and left to his own designs.

Actually, he really was too proud, and managed to fly a few scores of kilometres before just about collapsing mid-air due to a lack of power. He only recovered a short time before being dropped off, and if the still present scowl on his face is any sign, he's still not entirely over it.

"Hmph!"

Despite looking like some sort of monster, this figure seems to give off an almost regal air; he holds himself with a straightened posture, and if any of the town's inhabitants look at him oddly their response is an orange eyed 'look' of indiscernible motive- though it's assumed to be some sort of glare.

Overall he seems to be ignoring just about everyone, though that's not necessarily the reaction for the pokemon in the area; it would appear that a small colony of local bird pokemon are gathering on the rooftops nearest to him, though if he noticed, he hasn't shown it.

Eventually he comes to stop and stand at the railing overlooking the sea, arms crossed as he looks out to the waters in silence.

Do be careful if you decide to disturb him.

Back with Miss Tepiggy, the little pig is giggling. 'He stopped shouting at them after an hour.'

"Well... there are a lot of different kinds." How do you explain monsters? She's going to take a few moments to think of a good place to start. "Um... A lot of them could be described like larger, corrupt versions of animals."

Cloud glances up at the birds. 'Guess it'll be easy to tell if he's around if he doesn't figure out a way to get them to leave him alone.' He's a little amused at that.

Rapid nodding from Tepiggy- 'That and when he gets surprised~

Meanwhile, Jack snorts. "Hn! Sounds close enough to mine then." Ohhh, is someone feeling bitter, Jack?

Cloud's interest. You have it. 'He doesn't make squeaky noises does he?' He's kidding but, that is a reference to what Hazel sometimes does when she's surprised.

"...If you have monsters where you're from, why did you seem so surprised." A little miffed at being made to think he didn't have any experience with monsters at all. Sure she didn't really have to try to explain... right?

"Hn! Because there were only six of them!" What.

"And if you could see things like that in my world," he continues with a barely visible smirk, "You were one of the only ones who could!"

Well, saying that's odd would be an understatement.

"...Seems a scary way to be special." Not as scary as some stuff she could think of but, still scary. If monsters only a few people can see exist in her world she hasn't heard of them.

A shrug. "Maybe. It meant most people didn't see me either." He has a smirk when he says that, but somehow it feels off...

A brief thought of 'Does that mean you're a monster?' crosses her mind but, she decides it doesn't matter. He's being nice enough to Zack at least and he's not being nasty to her either.

"Must have been weird when people could here." She's not sure if she'd be able to see him normally. The way this place effects powers is how she assumes she's seeing him now.

Ehh?

Not quite the question he expected!

"Hn!" He crosses his arms. "Not so much weird as annoying!" ...What with half the townsfolk either staring awkwardly or asking if he was a pokemon.

Come to think, his reaction to the latter is probably why he was alone out here.

Well, Hazel stared too... just not for very long. She could get used to some weird things pretty quick sometimes.

"I don't think I'd like being stared at either." He has to know he looks strange, right? Of course the idea that people might have asked if he was a Pokémon never crossed her mind.

Of course he knows he looks strange- if anything he'd be surprised if you assumed he didn't.

"Of course not!" he responds. "It's better for them to mind their own business if that's all they can do!"

He was going to have problems every time he got to a new place if he let it bother him too much. Only thing she ever got stared at for was glowing after eating too many cookies with moonbeams as one of the ingredients when she was five. And that was only a little while.

Hmm, what kind of thing might her mother say here?

Somewhat hesitantly. "Seems people that can't do more than that aren't worth your attention." Or getting upset over. She's not really sure that it bothers him outside of being annoying though.

"Exactly!!" JACK SHE'S CALLING YOU OUT, NOT AGREEING WITH YOU.

Not really bold enough to properly call someone out. Hard not to notice that he doesn't seem to think much of other people.

But well, maybe she does agree a little bit. In a way that the people that just stare and do nothing else don't really need to be bothered with. The people that might stare for a bit and then go mind their business are probably worth it.

"There are a lot of people that will do more than that though." She still doesn't know people asked if he was a Pokémon. And isn't sure about mentioning the possibility of hostility.

"Hn." More arm crossing and staring at the sea now. "Not many!"

"I'd rather find someone from my world!"

TOO BAD.

"Maybe not here." He's bound to run into someone that will react beyond staring and stupid questions in one of the larger towns.

"Not everyone is lucky enough to have others from home here." She just knows there are a bunch of kids that seem to be from the same place.

Bored giant puppy decides to remind her he's here by going over to nudge her and whine. 'Weren't we going to travel?' He wants Cloud to practice telepathy too. Then maybe they'd be able to ask her these things.

"Hn." And again with the almost imposing silence, before noticing that the arcanine is walking away. Huh. Guess it's hoping to leave then...

Seeing as he still doesn't seem inclined to actually talk she's going to talk to her Pokémon.

"Tired of sitting still? Want to go for a run, don't you?" Both of her Pokémon perk up at that question. Zack wags his tail excitedly and barks. 'Yeess. Let's go, let's go!'

Cloud's eager to get moving too but, he's being more dignified about it.

"So..." Not comfortable walking away without a word. She hasn't really been taught proper manners but, she still knows that would be rude. "They've kinda been eager for a good run for a while..."

"Hn!" He's actually smiling now- good job Zack, you and Hazel seem to have cheered him up a bit. (or at least Zack did...) "Go on; a dog that big probably has plenty of energy right?" Jack did you want a dog or something, stop that-

"Yeah. I guess I'll see you around."

Yaaay. Happy puppy is happy. Crouching down next to Hazel because he wants her in on the fun at least for a bit. She'll give him an ear scratch before getting on. No she wasn't scared off the idea by her accident the first time.

Zack will bark a goodbye before they turn to go. You're a bit weird but, he thinks you're okay.
