First Century - Good thing transceivers are down...
One would think Jack Atlas far too proud to accept the offer of a lift from the entralink to Nuvema, but what do you know, the 'bird god' was dropped down by a bird and left to his own designs.
Actually, he really was too proud, and managed to fly a few scores of kilometres before just about collapsing mid-air due to a lack of power. He only recovered a short time before being dropped off, and if the still present scowl on his face is any sign, he's still not entirely over it.
"Hmph!"
Despite looking like some sort of monster, this figure seems to give off an almost regal air; he holds himself with a straightened posture, and if any of the town's inhabitants look at him oddly their response is an orange eyed 'look' of indiscernible motive- though it's assumed to be some sort of glare.
Overall he seems to be ignoring just about everyone, though that's not necessarily the reaction for the pokemon in the area; it would appear that a small colony of local bird pokemon are gathering on the rooftops nearest to him, though if he noticed, he hasn't shown it.
Eventually he comes to stop and stand at the railing overlooking the sea, arms crossed as he looks out to the waters in silence.
Do be careful if you decide to disturb him.

She's just going to let a few of her Pokémon out to stretch for a bit. They won't wander far but, they're not too far from the railing by the sea at the moment.
Hope you don't mind the six foot puppy that will be sniffing at you in a minute or so. Curious puppy has at least been taught that greeting strangers with a pounce is not a thing he should do.
I need an angrier icon ahahahahah (how could I forget ANGRY ICONS??)
Your puppy found something taller than him!"Mn?!" Jack just noticed this 'puppy', and he's now eyeing it with mixed opinions. It's a huge tiger-striped puppy after all, who wouldn't.
His continued reaction will depend entirely on what you do next, 'puppy'.

Lucky you his trainer starts calling him before he can do more than think of it.
"Zaaack." Hurrying to look for him because not quite sure the no pouncing strangers rule will be followed yet. She looks less worried when he's in sight and obviously not pinning anyone to the ground. "I hope you're not bothering..." And really noticing the person he's next to. She can't help staring a little. "...anyone." Yeah. Never seen anyone like you before.
Zack pouts for a second. He's not a bother. Really. Just still a puppy at heart.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this picture and his expression when he hears you coming (not to mention catches you staring, Hazel), more or less says that if you decide otherwise he will react badly.
no subject
"Um..." Realizing she's staring a bit too long and trying to think of something to say. "You must be new."
Glancing at Zack who is being himself and not having any problem with strangers as long as they're not being mean.
"He um... doesn't bite." Unless he thinks you deserve it but, no need to say that. It takes a lot for Zack to think you deserve to be bitten.
Zack is looking at you in what he hopes is a friendly way. He's always up for head scratches.
jack omg stop giving her the silent treatment-
At any rate Jack stares for a few moments more before seeming to snort. "Hn!" As if he'd be worried about that!!
Meanwhile, his tepig is giving little squeals and running over. Look look a new person! A new person who isn't attempting to get as far from her trainer as possible, what a nice change!

Hazel takes it as a sign that the stranger isn't immediately hostile at least. The happy looking Tepig doesn't hurt either. She'll give the little Pokémon a gentle head pat. She's feeling rather awkward though. Not really used to trying to talk to someone who doesn't seem inclined to talk back.
"Um..." No, it would be rude to ask what he is. Must say something else. "Did you just get here today?"
no subject
Jack in the meantime pauses the head scratching at that 'um', narrowing his eyes. Anddddd the question of the day IS-
...Oh.
"Yes." Back to head scratching and ultra-cheery GIANT DOG.
no subject
this is when Cloud decides he needs to work on telepathy.just gives him ear scratches since he's there."Weird, isn't it? But kinda nice in some ways." She really likes the Pokémon so far. Who wouldn't love a giant puppy after all? It would just be a lot nicer if she wasn't missing her family.
no subject
Someone needs to make this guy open up, holy crap.
Jack, your people skills are worse than ever before!
And meanwhile- Oh hello there 'Cloud', have you met Miss Tepiggy? Not that Jack would have been the one to give her that name.
But seeing how he didn't bother with a name, Miss Tepiggy has named herself.

Hazel's not so good with the opening up thing herself but, at least she tries. Would be silly not to do that much with the way Zack will just go up to anyone.
"Well, the Pokémon are a lot nicer than the monsters I've seen at home." Just making conversation since Zack doesn't seem inclined to leave and somehow awkward conversation seems better than awkward silence at the moment.
Cloud is going to just say something to Tepig that's been on his mind since he came over here. 'Your trainer is weird.'. He's being blunt but, there's no hostility.
no subject
Indeed, many of the bird pokemon are twittering about gods and kings right now.
Jack doesn't hear them though- and in fact, when Hazel mentions 'monsters', he turns with a jolt. "Monsters?!" What what, what kind of world are you even from!?
no subject
Hazel, you need to remember that not everyone considers monsters roaming the wilderness normal. "Yeah um... I guess not everyone has to deal with such things." Not that she's had to do so by herself more than a couple times... and dealing with it just meant 'set it on fire and run' for her.

Eventually, Colette does speak up though.] It's a nice view, isn't it?
no subject
You've managed to surprise him, Colette; more in the fact that you walked over to the (now curiously empty) balcony and are acting as though everything is perfectly fine about 'what' you're talking to.
How does one respond, uh- "...I suppose." Yes, good. Perfect response. PERFECT.
Little miss tepiggy is going to be inspecting all the dogs in the meantime. Pii piiii!~

[Gizmo just quietly stares at the Tepig from his spot at Colette's feet. Holly and Gracie are much more curious, however, the Growlithe circling the Tepig with interest and Gracie sniffing. Lulu just watches the three, not really moving from his spot.]

Miss tepiggy is sniffing back. Sniff sniff sniff~
no subject
I'm Colette. It's nice to meet you!
[Gracie sits and tilts her head to one side. Sup fellow female in mostly-male species.]
no subject
And another nod.
"Jack Atlas."
Tepig greets the fellow female with a wide grin! Hello hello!~
no subject
Gracie yips a greeting back. Also, Lulu's going to take this time to investigate Jack himself, sniffing a bit and trying to sense the guy's aura.]
