[Action/Video]: Eighth Shooting Star - A Second Greeting

[There's a bit of a buzz on the feed for a few moments, as if the user is fiddling with something. But the sound quickly clears out, and the image pans out to reveal Subaru grinning somewhat nervously at the camera.]

Ah...hi, everyone! This surge of power from that Entralink thing, it seems to have affected my Hunter VG somehow-it's working again! War-Rock and I were thinking about trying to reopen Noise Waves with it, maybe find a way back home, but we're not sure about that Entralink place...is that old man over there okay? Is it dangerous there?

Oi, oi, Subaru...

Ah, sorry... [Subaru seems to look over briefly to the side at this exchange with a sudden deep voice from off screen, and he looks back to the screen.] Anyways, since my Hunter VG is working for now, War-Rock can materialize himself again! He's very pleased about it, so he wants to introduce himself to everyone!



Yo! [And a large, blue-green alien thing pops into the camera, at least a head taller than Subaru and with a shoulder breath that easily could equal almost two of the boy's. Good thing he sounds friendly.] What's up, everyone?

[ Meanwhile, Hazel decided to use the power surge to practice some spells so she doesn't feel like she's forgotten that her mom would want her to... She ended up giving herself Eevee ears and is having trouble getting rid of them...

Which is why she has her hood pulled up when it is nowhere near being cold. ]

[ Hiding it has become a real bother... Especially since she is failing at keeping her ears from moving. And she doesn't want anyone to worry about her so... ]

I'm okay. Just... a little mishap.

[ She looks around to make sure other people aren't looking and pulls the hood back a moment to show the ears then puts it back up. No need to freak out random passers by.]

I thought I'd practice something while I can...

[They haven't tried to Denpa-Henkan yet. So they're not quite familiar with the whole POWERS RETURNING TO NORMAL thing. But since the Hunter works now, the thought has entered their heads.]

Yeah. I usually study magic at home but here it's been kinda hard so, I haven't tried that much.

[ She doesn't usually talk about it but... She's trying to be more open. And she kind of got the feeling she could trust Subaru. ]

I was trying a shape-shifting spell but, I'm really out of practice and only got ears that I'm having trouble getting rid of.

Well... I don't know. I think some understanding of animal biology can help with shape-shifting but, isn't really necessary.

[ She doesn't really know. Her mom was studying magic before science was very advanced so, understanding that stuff was not part of her magic lessons. ]

Huh? Why wouldn't it be? I mean, if it's done wrong, it could be dangerous since animal organs can be pretty different...or does the magic really take care of it?

Well, yeah it does kind of take care of it. The better understood the animal the easier it is to turn into it though.

[ At home she was working on squirrel. She doesn't really know their organs but, she spent a lot of time watching how they move and behave. ]

Astral merely holds out a d-pad and deck case, and-

Huh...it'll be interesting, seeing two different dueling styles. Maybe actually watching a duel will help me understand it better?

Oh, it's a device back home. [And he shows off a picture of said device.] Everyone has one back home-it's kind of like our personal identification and a terminal we use to interact with all the technology at home. Without a power source, I couldn't use it...but it's turned on somehow.
