001 ☄ [Video]
[Good evening, Unova! Care to take a gander at the network today, and... your eyes might hurt a bit. Someone is shining a blue light into the screen, from some sort of long, silver device. It is eventually pulled back, leaving a somewhat raggedy-looking man squinting at the screen. Floating just behind his shoulder is a pair of glowing green eyes-- an Elgyem.]
Is this working...? Light? [His voice is thick with an Estuary accent. The Elgyem blinks, and makes a few affirmative high-pitched sounds. The man arches his eyebrows and grins, looking fascinated.] Ah, yes, the light! Now, that’s rather simple, isn’t it? Anyways--
Hullo! I’m the Doctor. Now, can anyone tell me where exactly I am? I just turned up here-- but just me, not anything else. Don’t see how I could just turn up like that, but here I am! And “here” is certainly nowhere I’ve been before... Which is funny, seeing as I’ve been pretty much everywhere-- And there doesn’t seem to be any way out, does there? A bit troubling, that... Ah, can't be helped, I suppose. [Not until he finds the TARDIS, at least... He glances over his shoulder, finding the Elgyem. Its eyes widen in alarm, and it shies away from him, floating off-screen.]
Normally, I would just ask these things to the locals here-- but it seems this one doesn’t talk much. Just makes this sort of... blinking with her hands. Interesting sort of communication, but I can’t say it’s easy to get specifics from... So here I am! Does this get broadcasted to everyone? The signal seems to reach out to anyone that has one of these things... It's clever, very clever. Brilliant creatures, you all. Right then, I'm sure you can help answer the few questions I've got?

Spoilers: it's not.]Aliens? Really? [Well, now... That made sense, didn't it? He glances at the Elgyem still hiding off-screen.] Ohh, now that's brilliant. An alien planet with aliens of its own. [He grins widely.
But that grin fades suddenly at Emmet's explanation, his expression oddly serious.] Alternate world? [Alternate worlds weren't good. If he didn't get back to the TARDIS fast, he could be trapped here forever... as could everyone else that got pulled in here...
The grin returns just as quickly as it faded.] Well! That's the proper spirit: "full of adventure"! Oh, I like that. [He nods to himself.] Right then, it's very good to meet you, Emmet! But tell me, what exactly is a Subway Boss? Since when've subways needed bosses? Other than the drivers, I mean.
...but you just had to ask what a Subway Boss was. Ohboy, that's one of the things Emmet is proud of this lifetime.] Well! Our Subways are not normal Subways! Me and my twin brother, Ingo, run a Battle Subway - where Pokemon Battles meat the joys of riding the subway! I make sure everything is running fine! And I'm also the challenge when people get to a multiple of 21! Yup, it was great! [And he misses it. So much - the slightest bit of anger entered his voice towards the middle of that, but it quickly vanished back to his normal cheer.]
But, yup! This is an alternate world - it is not my Unova. Things are different. Verrry different. [Okay, there's a bit of seriousness in his voice. But his smile isn't trembling or changing. Because that's just how he is.]
And he switches the topic breezily.] Pokemon battling on a subway? Isn't that, I dunno... maybe a little dangerous? [Now, he's fine with dangerous. But how exactly did such a thing even work? One wrong move, the whole train could be destroyed, he'd think.] And you say this Unova-- [He says it carefully, getting used to its sound. Nope, not a world he's heard of.] -- is different from yours... How so?
But at that second bit, Emmet shakes his head fast.] We're the safest place to battle! Safer then the wild! Safer then the gyms! There's no chance of injury! Our Subway Trains have been tested with the strongest attacks we can find! [Why, yes, they have been attacked by Zekrom and Reshiram.] Not even a dent! After we found the right ones...!!
[And now he can mention some of the differences. Not the differences in him, that is.] Firstly, it was not Winter when I was at home, but it was here. Also, the Pokemon are veeery different - I found a Hoennian Pokemon where they should not be! Yup, it's weird.
And... there are people here, who would not be allowed to walk these lands in my Unova! [why yes he's talking about n] Those are some of the differences!
As for the part about the Subway, he gives a slightly disbelieving grin. Not even a dent, eh?] Really? Must be some impressive trains you've got!
[And he falls silent as he listens to the listing of differences. He has to note these as well, if he's going to try helping those trapped here. He nods slowly.] So... Seasonal shifts have changed? And species from outside of this area are being pulled in-- quite a bit like we have, hm? [He pauses.] What do you mean, "would not be allowed"?
And of course he's proud of his trains. They're his life right now.] They used to be less safe. But we've never had a death - we protect people and Pokemon alike! Yup~!
...This world seems to be the past! There are no whispers of events which would have sent one of the men here into hiding... you have not been to Unova before, have you?
[...And then, a sharp breath. He is going to explain the plot of the games. In his own way.] Recently, in my world, some evil people came around! Veeery evil people! But at the head of them, a man stood who stood for the truth! He was manipulated by a very evil man, and he battled for his truth, against a hero of ideals. It was cool - to see new heroes rise, to see the birth of Zekrom and Reshiram.
[...Is he going to explain them? Nope.]
But the man of truth then left! And that was good - because he was a wanted man! For working with the group of evil people, even if he was not evil! But... he walks these lands, brought in. Nobody cares. [...] And another girl, she seems to not know of the events either. From what I have listened to. Yup! [Yes, he listens to my other characters. Joy...??]
Well, can't dwell on that too much. He has to divert his attention to the new information about the world Emmet is relaying. He furrows his brow and scratches his head.]
No, can't say I have been to this Unova place... Which is strange, really! You'd think I'd have heard of it before... Anyways-- Perhaps it is for the best that that man was brought here, then, if he wasn't evil, you know. [In the same vein, maybe it was better that he was sent here instead of being forced to regenerate.] Still, that all sounds very... epic, for such a peaceful-looking place. [Then again, the original games had Team Rocket, didn't they?]
... Zekrom and Reshiram. Who are they? [He assumes those are the names of the legendary heroes Emmet is speaking of.]
Re: [video]

They are awe-inspiring. Together with the dragons, those heroes battled to make this region what it is now! Yup! [Emmet is so proud.]
