[video/action] Pinwheel Forest

[ There is a Phione playing with Sephiroth's Extranciever. It's holding it upside down and making silly faces at it.

It soon gets bored with that and tosses the device aside. There is now just a skewed view of a clearing in the forest. And perhaps unnoticed before is the sound of battle.

And then an Emolga dashes across the clearing, attacking something off-screen. There is the sound of an impact and the Pokémon is hurled back in the direction she came. She gets right back up and, sparking with electricity, goes to attack again.

This time a few seconds pass before there is another sound of an impact and she is hurled away from whatever she was attacking. It takes a second for her to get up this time. She almost goes back to attacking but, is interrupted.
]

Enough.

[ The owner of the voice comes into view. He's apparently decided to go shirtless for training. His hair is also quite wild from a fair bit of static. The expression on his face well... there isn't much of one but, it mostly resembles boredom. He casually picks up the Emolga and carries it towards and then behind the Extranciever where he does something that makes a strange sound. And then there is the sound of a Pokémon being returned to a Poké ball.

He soon notices that the C-gear is on and picks up the device. Instead of turning it off he starts talking.
]

A question.

I know people generally use Pokémon to fight here but, does anyone do so without them?

[ He misses trying to maimsparring with other people for fun perhaps. ]

['Bill' apparently answers, but it's not him...]

Ah- Occasionally I do, [He begins.] This isn't my actual body though, the phione seem to have acted as links to swap people around... [Anyways...]

...It's not recommended to take pokemon on in person at a certain point however. Early on, before places like Nimbasa it's alright; the pokemon aren't as strong as they could be. But their strength reaches catastrophic levels after some time, levels that humans can't handle.

[...Or at least... Pokemon disguised as humans? Perhaps that's why Otogi can actually brawl with pokemon in the first place...]

Video - Hahaha yup. Ryuzaki's gonna get his rear kicked. :U

[He missunderstood you yes, but not quite in that sense..!] Oh! You're intending to spar with your own partner?

Well there should be no trouble with that then. It's the wild pokemon you need to worry about- the further north you travel, the stronger and, more importantly, violent they become toward intruders in their territory.

That's always good. I have to ask though...

What are you fighting them with? I use hand to hand myself, but somehow I doubt that's what you're doing..! [Otogi you're the only one daft enough to try HAND TO HAND with pokemon..!!]

Haha, no, using a real blade is definitely a bad idea, unless your opponent is a Bisharp perhaps... [Bisharp eh...] Still, you have a bit of an advantage then! Perhaps you'll be able to deal with the north with more ease than expected.

Hah! Of course- I was still thinking in terms of a good spar, my mistake!

It'll still depend on your team though- some pokemon are meant for one thing more than others even at their peak strength after all. [Something meant for speed for example... ]

Perhaps.

I might be able to offer some advice on speeding that up though, if you like. I have a fair bit of experience in the area! [...Being one himself, that is.]

Video - Also there's a site that compares pokemon and it's awesome

Alright.

I was just going to mention that the transceiver can be given a map option- it'll tell you what pokemon are in your area. Otherwise, I suppose I'll leave you be..!

Ah- I believe you have to upgrade it for that option, but alright. [Maybe some of the transceivers are built different. Oh well.] Glad to be of use though.

Right.

[...Huh.]

Strange though- I didn't get a manual when I was given my transceiver... [Guess that's the new bit!]

Usually...

Perhaps it was because it was given to me unpackaged...

Oh well~ No matter! I've managed fine despite it for now. I can look around for one when I'm in my own body again.

Perhaps- I'll at least skim it in the location to be sure I suppose.
