[action] accumula town square
Accumula's Town Square was very pleasant. It reminded Thomas of Hyde Park in London, although of course the Town Square was much smaller. Not nearly as impressive. However, the basic principle was the same: a park in the middle of a city. Thomas found the neatly groomed appearance of the park -- it's trimmed grass and shapely trees, the neat little stone paths and the fountain -- all very welcome differences from the overgrown, poorly tended wilderness of Route 1.
Which is why he chose it as a perfect location to study his new book. Sitting on a park bench, Thomas held a to-go cup full of sub-par coffee in his left hand, and, lying across his knees, a book labeled Pokemon Battle Strategy. A Lillipup lay curled up next to his feet, sleeping soundly. Thomas was regretting purchasing this particular book, as it was clearly targeted towards more experienced trainers than he. There had only been two options at the Pokemart, though, and the other had clearly been intended for children. Still, as he puzzled over lists of type advantages, he thought that a couple of cutesy illustrations might have made him feel better.
He took a sip of his coffee, grimacing at the taste, and looked around briefly. He noted that, yes, Dodger was still sitting on the edge of the fountain staring at all the coins people had thrown in. That was good; the Teddiursa had been ready to leap in earlier. Thomas frowned, hoping that he still didn't have plans to do so -- it was winter, after all, the water would be icy -- but at least if he was distracted by the coins he wouldn't go around pick-pocketing people. His gaze wandered lazily away from Dodger to the few people milling about, looking for anyone he recognized and anyone interesting who he didn't.
((Just wanted to ~officially~ move Thomas to Accumula, haha. He is so super exciting. If anyone replies, feel free to use [actionspam], I'll match you :) ))

He smiled and nodded at Estelle's suggestion. "I should like to hear them, yes. I wonder if Unova music is very much different from what we are used to?" He hesitated for a second. It was still so odd, to just walk up to a building and enter it unannounced. But that was the custom here, it seemed. Thomas shrugged, then stepped forward and opened the door for Estelle, piano music escaping from inside.

"Ooh~ How interesting~ It's very nice~" Estelle complimented, just standing and enjoying the music.

Thomas tapped his fingers quietly on the top of his walking stick, looking covertly at Estelle as the song went on. He was still cautious about her; he couldn't fully trust anyone who had anything to do with magic. She seemed so harmless, though, and she was so kind to everyone. He sighed quietly just as the song ended, and applauded courteously. "Bravo, sirs, bravo!"

"That was very nice~ It's so interesting to see aspiring artists play so brilliantly and unreserved~" Estelle commented as they stopped in the Accumula Town Square.
"I'm thinking of heading out toward Nacrene, Mister Sinclair~ You're free to join me if you wish~" Estelle stated, recalling her Pokemon for the time being.
"I'd like to see many more places and meet many more people out there after all~" The wonder expressed on Estelle's face probably couldn't be matched by anyone when she thought about what could lie ahead.

"Oh? You're leaving? I -- no, I can't -- I was planning on staying a day or two here, in hopes of seeing more of the outsiders." Thomas frowned slightly. He didn't really like the idea of Estelle traveling alone, but he simply couldn't leave now. "Are you sure you wish to go? I know this is a sleepy town, and not the most exciting, but the routes seem to be somewhat dangerous, especially for a lady like yourself traveling on her own. There are more than puppies and rodents on the roads ahead, you know."

"I didn't mention this, but I'm pretty athletic as well~ So I'll give them what for if I'm really in trouble~" Estelle winked, curtsying as she turned toward the entrance to Route 2.
"Well, I'll be off~ I'll see you again, Mister Sinclair~" Estelle stated, starting to walk slowly toward the town gate.

As he watched Estelle walk off, he ran his fingers through his hair: a nervous habit. After a a few moments, when Estelle turned the corner at the end of Town Square, Thomas sighed, shook his head, and shrugged. "Women," he said quietly to himself, "are quite impossible, no matter what world they come from."
He glanced up at the sky -- still not far from mid-day, the tour of the town hadn't taken long -- then moved back into the park towards an empty bench. Still had to read up on the differences between physical and special attacks, after all.
