1st Shooting Star - Not quite where they expected to end up...[action]

Today was just one strange event after another. He had expected that stepping out of that Noise Wave would have led him to Meteor G, so he could destroy it. But instead, he ended up in some sort of...forest clearing. And it kept him and War-Rock from becoming Rockman again, so there was no way he could find the Noise Wave again...or open it, apparently. There was no Wave World here. His Hunter wouldn't work...how could he contact anyone?

Then there was the meeting with that...odd creature, that was somehow able to see War-Rock. And it kept following them, the stubborn thing. And then that old man who gave him the backpack and the...information. The thing was a Riolu, now his Pokemon (how, what, he never had a pet before, how would he take care of it?) and that he was stuck in this other world (other world?!) until further notice (but, they had to stop Meteor G-they had to get back!).

But, no amount of cajoling or pleading would make the situation any better, so he had to go along with it. So, with the newly nicknamed Rocky ("it can see you, and it looks kind of like you, so why not call it a little you, War-Rock?"), and his supplies, he chose to take the portal into Nuvema Town. It sounded more friendly, anyways, and safer...perhaps maybe he could find a way to power his Hunter at the lab that was apparently there, so he could communicate with his friends. The new...Xtransiever, he thought it was called, didn't seem to be able to reach them, anyways.

Only...this doesn't look like Nuvema Town. Or, at least, he doesn't think it does. It was a small little town, right? It doesn't look like...wherever this place was.

"E-eh?! Where are we now, War-Rock?"

To most people, it looks like he's talking to thin air. They might or might not hear the response to his question, either.

"Don't ask me, kid. You're not the only one who's gotten confused by all this jumping around."

[[ooc: So yeah, intropost? Took me a while to figure out what I should do in the middle of the event, but basically, this guy and his pet invisible radio alien have just walked into somebody's dream! Who's dream? Well, whomever replies, I suppose! It could be anyone!]]

"It is similar to the concept of sparring- using their unique abilities, pokemon battle each other in a mix of strength and strategy, until one or the other can fight no longer. Following the end of a battle, pokemon are taken to a 'pokemon center' for recovery." Observations of the pokemon world, are go.

"Hm. Well, I think we'd have to do some research and training of our own first before we try anything..."

There's a groan of disappointment from War-Rock, which leads Subaru to scold him lightly.

"Ne, War-Rock, we're not going to win anything just jumping in and knowing nothing! We still don't know that much about Rocky or what he does!"

"Nn? Is 'Rocky' the pokemon you arrived with?" Eh?

"Perhaps I can help- I read through Yuuma's pokedex, as well as a few of the books in the area he is in at the moment." Because he does that. Stand behind people and read the books.

"Eh-he is, that's what we called him. I was told he was a species called a...Riolu, I think?"

"That's it. Funny thing, that, since it was able to see me an' all."

Oh look, he's a pokedex.

"Nn- The 'Aura' pokemon. Perhaps it would detect my presence as well... 'Riolu' are apparently known for their power as well as their ability to 'see' emotions. It has been said that they can crest three mountains and cross two canyons within a single evening."

"Is that so..."

"That little guy? No wonder he was so stubborn about things, if I could keep going on and on like that, I would be that stubborn too!"

"You are that stubborn."

"What'd you say?"

Astral merely stares at the conversation- he doesn't really have a place in it after all.

There's a bit more good-natured ribbing between the two of them, before Subaru looks back at Astral.

"Ah, thank you for that information...I think I understand Rocky a little better now."

A nod- "I was just making an observation. Perhaps I can say more after seeing one in reality."

Like... A pokedex..?

"That makes sense. Do you want to see him?"

"I would be glad to. However, is he even with you in this place..?"

"Eh-that is.."

And fumbling around for that Pokeball in one of his belt pockets.

"Ah, here it is..." It takes a few moments for Subaru to figure out how to open the Pokeball, but once he manages to release Rocky...

"Riiii!"

"Oh?"

Astral is very quick to lean closer to the pokemon to examine it. "So this is 'riolu'... ...It would appear that the protrusions on his hands are some sort of steel-like substance..." ...How did he get that from one look.

What.

"Ri!"

And Rocky is showing off said protrusions to Astral with a fighting pose.

"Hah...looks like he can see you, Astral..."

"So it would seem- though as to whether or not this is due to our current location or not is still a question."

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Hm...I think he might be able to see you outside this place too. He was able to see War-Rock as well, and I can only see him with my Visualizer, same as you."

[He still looks very thoughtful, though.]

"Perhaps. ...First however, we must find a way to leave this place."

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Un. Good idea...this place does look similar to what you know, right?"

"In a way. It reminds me of an incident in which time was completely frozen... However, even then, the city did not appear to change its location this drastically."

[ryuusei_subaru]

"Time was-?!" This Subaru hasn't met Clockman yet.

"So you don't think you could find any kind of familiar exit?"

"There was no need- it was still the city, time was merely frozen. In the end, it was restored and the city back to normal."

It's a pity Astral as never 'dreamed', because he would probably have guessed by now otherwise.

"Nnn..." And Subaru starts looking around, trying to spot anything especially odd with his Visualizer. And then he looks up and spots the spaceship.

"...Astral? What is that? And..." Those waves...they look like...

"Are there friends of yours up there?"

"Mm? Friends..?" He turns, looking toward the ship. "Ah... The Numbers cards... They contain pieces of my memory."

"So those are...parts of you?"

Sorry, just leaving bits of your *denpa* around to War-Rock is like leaving behind a finger or something to a human.
