FINALLY THE EVENT

WELCOME TO THE RELIC CASTLE

I shall be your guide and snarky narrator - replying to most comments with a bit of humour - acting as your Game Master for this adventure though this castle. The goal? To explore and find the Dark Stone. There are seven stories, and you will need to get to the bottom. Please note that if we don't wrap this up by Halloween, the Pokemonfication event will still be happening.

How this is gonna work? There's gonna be comments down there. When somebody solves the floor, then the next floor will go up. Simple? I sure hope so!

Of course, it's not going to be that easy. In fact, it's going to be a lot harder then that - the Krookodile in question is moving, even now.

And, so, the Hypnosis misses. However, the Krookodile is looking between the two Sigilyth as it moves though the sand. Who should be defeated first... it seems unable to decide what to do. However, it doesn't seem to be standing still, either way.

[N grits his teeth. Of course that strategy would be too easy. He can't allow his Pokemon to be caught in the line of danger much longer.]

Sigilyph, Hypnosis again! Keep your distance, comrades. [And as Sigilyph makes a second attempt at the attack, N decides to throw himself into the fray. He makes a beeline for the Krookodile, trying to make his way toward its tail while it's distracted. If he can just get by without being noticed...]

Sadly, the virtual die I just rolled says this won't work.
Yes, I am using an RNG for this. Shut up.
Anyway, that tail might have been grabbable - if the Krookodile didn't use Dig! It's underground now, ready to strike anything which it can. Where could it come out? What could it be attacking?

However, it barely dodged that Hypnosis.

Ah! [He should have foreseen that possibility.

His first course of action is to return his Pokemon to their Pokeballs; their attacks have been ineffective, and he just can't risk their safety. His eyes dart about, searching for a sign of the Krookodile's approach.]
Krookodile, listen to me! I can see that you are in pain, and I can help you if you allow me to! [But he'd rather not lose a limb in the process. He sets off at a run, just to keep himself moving. Greater chance of avoiding the impending attack that way.]

Estelle hummed merrily as she skipped down the steps, before noticing the large... and very angry Krookodile, and someone else in trouble!

"Oh noooo! A-are you ok!?" Estelle called out to N.

A running target, or a still target? Now, which one would Krookodile prefer to attack?

If you answered Estelle, you'd be right. Sorry, but the beast is bursting out of the ground behind you.

[Thomas's unenthusiastic descent down the staircase behind Estelle meant that he was perfectly poised to be completely cut off by the Krookodile bursting through the ground.] Good lord!

[He very gracefully stumbles back and trips, falling on his bum on the stairs.] Miss Heurassein! N!? [His instinctual reaction is, of course, to reach for his gun, and it takes him a few micro-seconds of processing time to remember that his gun is useless. Thankfully, his Teddiursa is rushing recklessly down the stairs towards the Krookodile, and, seeing that, a new set of instincts kicks in.] Dodger, stop! You can't -- Oh! Use... Use Yawn, Dodger!

"Eh!?" Estelle cried, stumbling forward as the Krookodile appeared behind her.

"Gyaaaa!" But wait! What was this! Her little golden Barboach sent itself out from its Pokeball to protect his dearest mommy!

"Piko! Wait it's too strong!" Estelle called out, scared for her Pokemon's life.

"Baaaar, boach!" Piko cried out angrily, slapping out mud toward the Krookodile's eyes.

CRIPES, YOU GUYS /let's try N > Krookodile > Thomas > Estelle??

[N finds his reaction time has slowed significantly; for a moment, he stands still where he is, staring dumbly in shock as he struggles to fix together some sort of proper plan. Too many factors in this equation; it's confusing. The sight of his friends' out-leveled Pokemon leaping into the fray finally kicks his mind back into gear.]

No! It's in pain-- Stop! [He knew from experience that a powerful Pokemon in pain was a force to be reckoned with. Even if they were to work together, he isn't sure it would be enough. But it should be a bit of a distraction, and this might be his last chance. In a sudden act of recklessness, he bolts forward and tries to grab hold of the Krookodile's tail. If he can just keep it still long enough to see what's bothering it--]
