[Xtransceiver goes blurred for a moment, and then it's showing his face. Blue-white hair, a yellow tattoo-looking thing on his face and a brown leather jacket that makes him look like he was wanting to be a pilot or something.]

It's good to meet you, miss. I was wondering what kinds of holds there are here? No one's mentioned Threadfall yet, but...

Ah... [He pauses, remembering the map he'd noticed.] I suppose a Hold would be like a... Town? Or City? But they're built with stone, or in cliffs...

[Although there is a slight look of worry mixed with curiosity at her not knowing what Thread is.]

Thread is a living creature... something that falls from the sky and eats almost anything it can find. Usually dragonriders flame it out of the sky, but...

[He looks around. Doesn't seem to be any here.]

I thiiiiink that might be a thing unique to your world! We don't have it where I'm from, and if it were a big deal here, I'm sure someone woulda said something.

[A pause.] ... Your world has dragonriders?! That's so cool! [Oh dear, she's gone starry-eyed...]

I see... Heh. It'll take some getting used to, then. Back home, it makes it damn dangerous to stay out in the open too long.

[That gets a laugh. It reminds him of the kids back home.]

Yeah, and it is, I guess. A fair few of my old friends ended up as riders, too. I'm fairly sure my friend there that you saw used to be my fire lizard, Agni. He used to be able to curl around my neck.

Ahhhhh, that's so awesome! We don't have anything like that back where I'm from! We just have demons and they only just started appearing a couple days ago!

...Demons? [The smile fades.] Hm... yeah, we had some of those where I was from a while back, too. Although since we've got such different worlds, I don't know how similar yours would be to the Earthbound.

Well, all the demons are really different--some don't even look like demons at all! I saw some that were just little snow spirits or fairies and some just looked like big cats or birds! Some are kinda scary, though...

Well, the city I'm from got locked down because they started appearing... We're already really short on supplies. So, I'm kinda glad I ended up here instead!
