[There's a click as the video feed begins, but there's still a few minutes of fumbling before anything of note comes on to the screen. A teenager, blinking blearily in the light, holds the Xtransceiver up to his face, studies it, tilts it away. There's some more fidgeting as he examines the device, then he finally holds it at a proper angle, showing his face and shoulders. There's a glimpse of the Entralink in the background, and it's obvious that the background is the source of the teen's confusion, as he keeps looking back at it, before sighing and starting to speak.]

Hello out there! Um, I hope I'm using this right... My name's Ryoji Mochizuki, and I guess you can tell I'm new here, heh. I'm not exactly sure where I am, or who you are or-

[He's interrupted by a Duskull drifting in front of the camera, hovering too close, so all that can be seen is its creepy red eye. Ryoji tries to push the little creature out of the way, more nervous now.]

Or what that is... I found it in some sort of weird ball. Looked like something out of a kid's show...

So anyways, anyone around to maybe answer some of my questions? I'd be glad if someone could show me the ropes.

[Ack! Ryoji lets out a bit of a girlish squeak, almost dropping the transmitter, before recovering, a bit of a blush on his face and a wide grin. He'll just ignore the ringing in his ears and discreetly turn the volume down.]

[Well, that sounds familiar. He bites his lip for a moment, deciding whether to tell the other, but Thor's friendly, he shouldn't be too upset...]

Maybe you'll know me better by my other name... I'm Thanatos.

[Yep, Greek god of death Thanatos. He doesn't really look it, a bit too wimpy.]

Unova? Sounds strange... so there's lots of these creatures around? This one's kind of creepy.

Creatures that live in this world. Most are kind of like animals but, smarter and they have some interesting powers. People train them to do a variety of things.

[Gestures to the Duskull, who opens his mouth to nip at Ryoji.]

[ Confidence is not one of her strong points. She usually thinks people giving her compliments are just trying to be nice. Usually. Right now she's in a pessimistic mood. ]

Yeah... Um... that one is a Duskull I think. I don't have that kind so, I don't really know much about it beyond that it's a ghost type.

[He's trying to be nice, but he's telling the truth too!]

A Duskull... it's kinda creepy.

[You know, this shouldn't be surprising for someone like Ryoji, but he is still terrified. Oh the irony.]

I don't think they're actually ghosts. Just Pokémon that are like ghosts. I'm not absolutely sure though.

[ She'd feel bad if she said something that makes someone scared of their first Pokémon. ]

That would be a Duskull. One of my friends had one a while back. It's a Ghost-type Pokémon.

[Kirino smiles, his Milotic poking her head over her trainer's shoulder.] I'll be happy to help you with other questions if you have 'em.

As for how you got here, this thing called the Entralink broke and started pulling a bunch of people from different worlds here...

Pokémon are typically used for battling or in contests and stuff... I do both because they both have their own appeal. [The Milotic coos in agreement.] I'm afraid I can't help you with that last one though.

[Constance preens a little, seeming pleased.] She's my main contest Pokémon, and I think she enjoys it! [Also his Banette, but his Banette doesn't enjoy it as much.]

[And well, just focusing on that question is causing him to mood swing. Like he has been through most of the conversation. It seems that he's definitely a teenager, despite what he says.]

Well... The simplest way to put it is that my existence is a danger to everyone else's.

[He isn't sure how much he wants to say. He just met this boy, and it's hard to say if they'll become close friends, but he should at least warn people, then let them deal with it as they will.]
