1 Ting - Video/Action

[antitoon]

[Shift. Rustle. The audio feed (?) seemed to flash with a few colours, and a few grunts.]
Come on, work with me, this won't take long--
[And then a flash of light, and the audio turns to video, a few blue orbs falling out around the strange, child-sized blue thing. He has a Togepi on his back, and has a charming smile. He's sitting in the Nimbasa Pokemon Center.]
Hello, hello! I'm The Magician, and I've just arrived in this land! But really, that isn't that important. No, what's important is what's important in this world! Does this world have Lums? You know, Lums? They're some of the most powerful things from my world, but they may not exist here. [He kinda hopes they don't.] They're golden fly-like creatures.
But as for now, what are so important to this world? I've gathered that this... Togepi [hmph, he doesn't like it] is my means of protection against the darkness of this world, but what should I aim for? Is there an optimal path to become stronger?

You're sitting in the pokemon center, when out of the corner of your eye you spot him-

At any rate, despite never having met, he seems to look directly toward you and say-

"Oh hey! A goblin?" NO LOKI, NO.

EVEN IKOL IS GIVING YOU A FACE, one of those, 'you're trying too hard' faces.

...What. The Magician turns on one foot, and turns straight to the... human? He looked kinda human. Humans were strange though.
"A Goblin? I am not one like one of those creatures!"
You got him a bit mad.

Grinning.

"Well you definitely look like the goblins in my world~" Wow, rood.

[antitoon]

Well. Hmph.
"I'm not one, though. I am a Teensie - the goblins of my world look quite different."
Can't be too rude... might be able to scam this guy later for assistance.

"If you say so- I've definitely never heard of a 'teensie' though."

Oh, puh-lease. He's just doing it for his revenge on god (well, the god of his world)! He needs to scam everybody he can!
"Oh, we're nothing special. Magicial creatures, birthed from the creator of all. But it seems most of my grand magic is gone!"
He's got a sly smile. Togepi, though, is looking a bit grumpy. Like he wants to say something, but...

"A magician eh?" What is this smile he has, what-

"Such a thing is normal," his murkrow will comment. "Those who arrive here are often weakened to be brought down to mortal levels of power."

"Oh please Ikol, if anything you got more power..."

Suddenly, The Magician leaped backwards... and into his hat.
"Did your..." there's some silence, as he flicked though the Pokedex, "Murkrow speak?" He's a little jumpy right now.

But now The Magician was in his hat, the Togepi suddenly speaks... to Ikol. He can't speak human. "He's lucky, though. Not everybody stays how they were, right?" the Togepi said with a smile.

"Of course he did. It's a thing, he does it. Nothing big."

Even Ikol is rolling his eyes at that, before addressing the togepi with pokespeak. "Indeed they do not; you'll find we are not the only ones like this. Natives have their own intelligence of course... Nonetheless..." Feeling chatty, Ikol?

[antitoon]

"Nothing big?! Most animals don't talk, especially the birds!"
If they did, he'd be more likely to live in solitude working on his plans instead of hanging in the forest hoping to get a peek at Betilla.
Meanwhile, the Togepi tottles towards Ikol, a little, looking up at him. "He's a bit scared of leaving here, to be honest... so I wouldn't know about the natives. But at least I can keep him on a lead!
Even if most of my powers have left me too..."

Grin. "Well too bad, this one does! And he knows what all the other pokemon here are saying as well~"

Ikol's giving you a look Loki. A look.

Back to the togepi! "Hn! You'll find other ones in their place. Trust me."

[antitoon]

Grk. Now he's unnerved - but he then peeks his head out of his hat. Well, his nose. He is not revealing his big secret. Of his baldness.
"...He can understand them all. That must be a useful skill, at the very least. If not freakish."
Rayman then grinned. "I did pick this up...!"
Rayman used Metronome, his body glowing a little. And then, as if guided by the invisible wind, a trio of blows hit The Magician, knocking him into his hat.
Before freezing him. Rayman looked a bit sheepish... "Wow. It didn't do that last time! But this is good."

"I wouldn't call it 'freakish'..."

...So he starts before the demonstrated 'trio' blast slams the Magician in the face.

Ikol and Loki are both 'grinning' now, and the bird in particular seems pleased. "Well. I believe this could be the start of a grand 'alliance' of sorts..."

"Cool hat!"

The Magician was just frozen inside his hat, so he sent out an audio feed! It's public but... who curr.
"That's the sort of stuff I need to put up with him. And I can understand him - he is rather freakish!"
Don't mind him, he's grumpy. But Rayman's frowning a bit - he didn't mean to do this... "An alliance? Well, if you can help keep him on a short leash too... he's actually a bad guy."

"How does your understanding him make it freakish at all though? Unless you're saying something about yourself of course. That would make sense."

Bit of a pointed look from Ikol- "Mnn. 'Bad' is a rather loose term I find, what with the reality of most matters being far less than strictly black and white. Nonetheless, if his intentions cross over certain greater interests... I'll see what I can do." Vague, Ikol?

"He's a shelled... thing! They shouldn't talk!
Plus, I prefer him when he's silent."
It's a simple answer, as Rayman frowns a bit.
"Well, I wouldn't call him fully bad either... but he did try and kill me and everybody in the Glade of Dreams - so I need to make sure he's not doing the same thing here."
...Rayman misses his old friend. :(

"Not quite my point, but I will keep it in mind." Ohhh yes.

Meanwhile. "Well Togepi apparently rely on their hatched shell for protection or something like that... Maybe when he evolves?"

Shrugging. "If you think this one's weird, I can't wait to see you in a pokemon battle~" Eheheheheheheheeeee.

"These things... battle?! How chaotic, how crass!"

"When I unfreeze, why don't we try one?"
He's got an idea which involves Rayman dying.
"I know, but... good and bad don't often mix as one. At least, back in the Glade of Dreams."

"Chaotic yes, but crass?" NOOOOO. "They're cool! Don't confuse those terms!" Loki- "Not sure I should be battling you though," he adds with a grin. "My pokemon are really strong~ You'll end up in the Poke-Center for ages eheeeee~"

"If cool is a egg-shell bird who freezes me, then yes, they're cool."
Speaking of... the ice has melted, and out he pops again!
"Are you sure of that? Mine seems rather... out there."

"True, but if you just got here, he won't be at all as experienced; that's common sense! We've been here for ages," he adds seriously.

The Magician looked shocked for but a moment, before regaining his composure.
"...That old man did say something a bit like that..."

"Mmmn. Not quite a year- but definitely over the half way point!~" He's feeling helpful today, so he'll tell you plus lying is a weak form of pranking hE HAS BETTER PLANS

Hmph... "So, you know a bit about this place, then?" The Magician asked, before pointing a blue finger straight at Loki.
"Then tell me. Does this place have any Lums, of any shade or color?"

"Lums?" Hmmmn.

"I saw something green called 'lum'..." not the same lum-

"You did?"
Suddenly, he seems to perk up. He can continue... he can continue.
"Where? Where are they?"

"Not sure. To tell the truth, I'm rather skeptical that they exist for sure." Is that a lie? Or is it not?

"Well, you seem to know more then me," The Magician said, sly and smiling.
"So how about this? We team up, I find the Lums, you get paid wonderfully, we might break a way home without needing to beat the Challenge."
So sly and smiling. He gives a grin.
"How about it...?"

"Also, I don't seem to know your name. What is it?"

THIS IS NOT GOOD. "Ohhhh no need to worry about payment..."

"A search for something that may or may not exist with no idea as to where it is? Perfect for someone like me!~" GRINNING. "Loki Laufeyson, trickster, god of chaos and mischief, and the unstoppable force that is unpredictability! That's me~!"

...Great. The Magician and Rayman both gave each other a look. Then they both looked away from each other. God of Chaos? That's what The Magician wanted to destroy. But he doesn't have his mechas, he can't protest. And he's kinda pretending to be a good guy. Why did Rayman give him a look? To be honest, he was curious to how The Magician would respond.

But he had to reply. "I am simply The Magician. But now, we must decide the best direction."
Actually. He wants to stick around right now.
"...I'd like to gather information from this city, to be quite honest. And to pick up some supplies!"

He jabs a thumb behind him, toward a counter in blue. "Look no further than the poke-mart itself~ Surely you have the funds for whatever you need, yes?"

That is one of the most bad things he has to admit.
"No, no. It seems my money is no good here," he said, tossing out a Ting and flipping it in his hand a little. Y'know, a blue orb. "I've got these PokeDollars, but..."
Tsk tsk tsk. "There aren't too many things I can buy."

"You'll find that 'pokedollars' happen to be the local currency," 'Ikol' drawls.

"Shush Ikol." Ikol... And Loki?

HMM indeed. But The Magician looks at his Pokedollars, a bit of a grumble. So much small change.
"Well then. I suppose I'd best buy supplies. What do you already have?"
Because The Magician does have a few things in his hat. But not much.

Such a betrayingly innocent smile. "Aaah, that's the interesting part eheee~ You better go ask yourself and find out~"

Magician, they don't sell top-class products to beginners.

[antitoon]

"Fine."
And so he went over to the counter, Rayman retreating a little, walking up to Loki a little.
He expects shouting.

A few moments later... yes. There was anger from The Magician.
"That's a tenth of my money! I can't spend that much on a single heal!!"
And he's back in his hat, blocking the counter.

Chuckling from the others ahahahaha, and Loki's picking up the hat.

"Spot of bad luck?"

"You'll find that money is something that also comes with experience," Ikol adds almost slyly.

[antitoon]

Tsk.
"There isn't anything worth my money here. I'm just... cooling my head after learning of those prices. It's outrageous! Where I came from, you got a great healing just from a single free heart!"
Still inside that hat. He's not seen there, though. Rayman's trying to look up too.

Amusement abounds. Oh you're a bundle of joy aren't you? Loki's half tempted to put your hat on!

He settles for waving it around as he gestures wildly. "Well this isn't where you're from! Too bad really~ It sounds like your world has a lot of magic in it~"

[antitoon]

"It does, it does. It's rather... magical."

"Haaaah... well, I suppose we'd best be looking around the city."
