[video/action for Route 5] Just outside Nimbasa

[ Some of Sephiroth's Pokémon are sparring with each other. The trainer is not among them today. Instead he is recording his Riolu facing off against his Vulpix. The Riolu doesn't flinch but, there is obvious fear in his eyes whenever the Vulpix uses a Fire move. ]

Enough.

[ They freeze mid-step and look at him. ]

Take a break.

[ As they start to relax Sephiroth turns the camera to himself. He is frowning slightly.]

Because of his Inner Focus Alexander can face fire without flinching but, he is clearly terrified when he does. That stress is not healthy but, it isn't feasible to keep him away from it forever.

I have never attempted to assist someone overcome a phobia. Trauma induced or otherwise. Advice would be appreciated.

Fear of fire?

Hmm. I suppose the better way of doing it would be to find out what caused it...

[Loki's feeling relatively helpful today, if only to distract him from the cut off of canon-update dreams he just got.]

Well, that's clearly not good then isn't it! If you don't know why there's a fear, you can't expect to stop it.

I see. [Hmmm.] Well there's always displacement, but I don't think that would be the safest option...

[Yea replacing one fear with another is kinda a dick move Loki]
