[ The video opens to show four faces, two of which are peering into the device with curiosity while another two are looking distracted. Or perhaps just disinterested. It's two boys, one smaller with a Ponyta staring over his shoulder, and one older with a Cleffa held in his arms. Both are in dark jerseys and stripy stockings -- a team uniform, or something perhaps? ]

Hi! [Says the smaller boy.] I'm Tenma! Matsukaze Tenma! And this is... [He looks over to the other two.] ...Shindou Takuto. Pleased to meet you. [A stiff, polite nod from the older one.] Yeah, nice to meet you all! And, um. We were just wondering, do any of you guys know soccer? [The smaller boy is smiling cheerfully. Meanwhile, older boy is... turning away from the camera? He's hiding his face behind his sleeve... ] I mean, not like the soccer people play here, except it kind of is like it, just with special moves like Pokemon moves? If you do, we'd really like to talk to you! So please... reply or whatever! Thanks!

[The feed comes to an end shortly... after that Tenma boy spends a minute fumbling with the device to turn it off. Meanwhile, if anyone is paying enough attention to notice, the Shindou boy may or may not have just shed a tear or two in the background while his friend remains oblivious.]

Shindou, did you say something? [He turns around to blink at the other boy after shutting off the feed. Tenma your AU is showing-]

[ He'll just swipe at his eyes more (much to Cleffa's annoyance) and swallow hard. ]

H- hopefully. [ What if it's not ~*~real~*~ soccer though? What if the Fifth Sector is still in power here? ]

[It's really obviously not Japan, so surely not. Takuto, Ponyta's going to be nudging at your face with its muzzle now, hope you don't mind.]

Maybe the rest of the team is here, too, and we just missed each other!

T- Thanks... [ He'll shoot a smile at the Ponyta. At least someone cares. Cleffa seems to be curious and starts doing the same, which helps lift his mood. Kind of. ]

[Tenma finally glances over at Shindou- yep, he's smiling, no problems here.]

I bet they will! If they're here, I mean. Aren't Hoshifuru and Prince always on their phones outside of practice?

[ Yeah well you know, tears are pretty normal aren't they? no need to pay attention to them, nope.

He would nod, but he has Pokemon up in his face. ]

Yes. I- It should not take them long... to get back to us.

[Totally normal for Shindou. Heck, Shindou is teary all the time but apparently okay, so no need to worry. And anyway the Pokemon are making it hard to tell...]

If we're all here, we can work together and get back home in no time! [ALL THE CONFIDENCE.]

[ It's okay. He's the queen king of silent tears by now, and it's not like he wants Tenma to notice.

And surprisingly that actually cheers him up because YES THAT IS A GOOD PLAN LET'S GET OUT !!! ]

Train? [Ponyta apparently likes this idea, because it straightens up and stomps a hoof in approval.]

[ Cleffa does not because she clings tighter to Takuto's shoulder. ]

...Ma- Maaybe we should... catch a few more of these... um... Pokemon first?

[Ooh. That's a good idea. But, what do you expect from a former captain.]

Yeah! Ah, what kind of Pokemon do you like, Shindou?

[ Yes see!! he's even done crying! For now! ]

...I'm not sure. I think I would need to see more of them. [ He remembers there was that yellow one on the TV when he was younger? It was sparky. ]

Then, let's go see some! [Tenma hops to his feet, then turns to offer Shindou a hand.] Maybe we can find some you like around here!

[ He takes the hand offered and pulls himself up as well. ]

Right. Let's get going, then. [ He pulls Cleffa back into his arms, instead of having her perched on his shoulder. ]

Which way?

[ There are two directions to go in.... ]

[He stares and thinks for a moment.

Then a breeze picks up and he points in the direction it's blowing.]

That way!

[Ponyta, meanwhile, is getting excited. Oh boy oh boy do they get to go beat up other Pokemon now it's about time let's go let's go let's go-]

[ Okay go go go-- but there's water.

Not a problem.

He turns to face Tenma first though. ]

Do you want to go first?

[risingstars]

[Haha, such a tiny puddle is not a problem. Especially with all those rocks and whatnot around.]

Sure!

[He'll return Ponyta to its ball first, in case of accidents. Then take a few steps back... before running right up to the edge and hopping across!]

[conductingstars]

[ Cleffa is getting returned to his ball, too, then and he's following behind Tenma with a jump!

...He only just makes it, though, and scrambles a little at the edge. Shindou frowns slightly, wondering why he suddenly seems unable to make distances that he would have easily done so before.

Something to do with the... universe he's in? ]

Wha- Shindou? [Tenma spins around and reaches out to grab the other boy's wrist, just in case. Wouldn't do to take a messy spill into the water when they only have what they're wearing.]

[conductingstars]

[ He smiles gratefully at Tenma and pulls himself up. ]

That was... odd. [ You saw that, right? He could have totally made the jump but he almost didn't. ]

[risingstars]

...I guess we really shouldn't forget to stretch! [Ahaha...ha. Yeah that was weird. Tenma lets go when Shindou's straightened up.

Rustle rustle rustle goes the tall grass.]

[ He smiles a little unsurely at that because -- well he doesn't really think forgetting to stretch was the problem.

...Tall grass. Does this mean it's battle time??? ]
