WELP. He definitely got himself in a mess this time didn't he. Loki sits on a bench in Nuvema Town at the moment, having only just gotten something other than his usual costume to wear. Normally he'd love to just run around in said costume, but the sleeves/gloves on it made the X-Transceiver sit weird, and the fact remained that the hood wasn't going to work out in this weather.

He managed to figure out 'what' happened at least, but now that everything's settled he figures he mind as well start talking to people. Find out more! ...Or maybe just find something to do. Yea.

And so the feed on the video opens-

"Hello Unovians! Or not Unovians. Whichever one, I'm not really picky right now." A grinning young boy with remarkable likeness to a certain other named Loki is speaking! OH MY! "Would anyone care to lend an innocent young boy such as myself a hand~?"

There's a croak from the murkrow perched on his shoulder-

"NO."

"Ignore him, he's just angry because he put on weight."

It's Thor who finds Loki first. And, confused, goes running back to his own Loki, who ends up not understanding a word the Emolga says, but heading in that direction anyway.

He stops. He stares.

This must be some kind of joke.

"And who are you supposed to be?"

Oh?

He doesn't recognize you, but IKOL does.

".....NO..!" He has a very clear do-not-want on his beak and is fluffing his feathers right now.

"Oh calm down you!" And... Grin! "Loki Laufeyson, pleasure to make your acquaintance~ Don't mind Ikol, he's been weird since we got here."

"NO."

"Shush, yes you have."

...Outwardly, the only reaction is that his eyes narrow. But that is a very dangerous, angry narrowing of Loki's eyes. Oh dear.

"Really. And how came you by that name? And such an unimaginative one for your familiar, at that."

Loki spares Ikol an amused look. And Thor is exempt from the unimaginatively named club - his is ironic. There is a difference.

"Because willingly or not, that name already belongs to another."

Oshit-

"Um... Well it sort of belongs to me too..."

Bit of a 'krrrrrr' from the murkrow; he's narrowing very, very green eyes right now. "Oh! Unless you're PAST me, but that would mean you're also the ill tempered me, so-"

"NO."

"Oh he's not?" WELP. "Well I guess that answers that. OH! We must be from alternate dimensions, like those midgardian comics then! COOL!" LOKI YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS.

How is this him? And 'past' him? This was a child. And so far, he wasn't seeing an awful lot of himself in the boy. He prattled too much.

"I am familiar with the concept, but I do not see how any of what you are saying makes any sense. You do not seem much like myself at all. I have not, for one, Thor's recent interest with Midgard. Nor would I wish to pick such a thing up."

Does that bird look smug?

IGNORING IT. "What? But Midgard is cool! They've got the internet, and milkshakes, and STARKPHONES-!" Good gods that face- "But that's fine I guess. I'm not you, I'm me! There's a difference. Ikol here, he's closer to you I bet."

"No."

"Is that all you can say, really?"

The bird gives a rather reproachful look before turning away.

He has not heard of most of these things, and he's now pre-emptively disliking them.

"You've taken up their way of speech, and it suits you not. It would do you well to remember that they are but mortals - and if this 'past self'," and Loki still doesn't know what's up with that really, "is as you say, then perhaps that in itself is true."

...Thor, meanwhile, has started to look rather amused. This Murkrow isn't speaking properly!

"'Gods' we may be oh previous-self of mine, but that does not make them uninteresting. They are more intelligent than you give credit, and if not for them then we would be without a home! Asgard floats above Midgard in my time; and it is only thanks to Stark's power that it does so!"

Ikol merely rolls his eyes at the bantering, before fixing them on Thor. "Krrrrrrrrrrrnnnnn..." Oh you better stay back electric squirrel thing he's so not in the mood for your shenanigan making.

Unfortunately, for once Loki isn't paying the electric squirrel any mind. Which is a bad thing, since while Ikol may not be in the mood for shenanigans, Thor, as per rule of thumb, usually is.

"Why would Asgard be anywhere near Midgard, let alone floating above? The Nine Realms are meant to be separate. Even if one were destroyed, another would not overlap the place it still held."

He doesn't know who this 'Stark' is that his younger self keeps mentioning. He's not sure he wants to know.

Ikol needs to learn to be careful who he fixes his eyes onto, and how. In a world like this, anything could be taken as a challenge, and the two human-shaped people here are both trainers.

Thor seems to get this. Thor knows what happens when two trainers start arguing. This may not end well.

"Erm, yes, I don't actually have the details on that... But I believe it had something to do with getting destroyed and pulled through to Midgard to prevent getting destroyed more... I think." He uh... Wasn't exactly there. At the time.

...Also Ikol seems to be very very keen on backing away, even if it just means clinging tight to Loki's shoulder and slowly sinking back behind it.

"I can see how such a catastrophic event would lead to our having to rely on another realm... and admit that in such a case, Midgard is a better choice than some."

Like, say, if they'd been pulled into Hel (daughter he loves you but NO) or Jotunheim (again, even more NO).

Thor starts to taunt Ikol in Pokespeak. Oh, this is definitely a Thor. Or maybe it's just his character. Calling Ikol out on being a coward and hiding behind his trainer.

This finally gets Loki's attention.

"Thor, be quiet. We are talking."

We now have a pouting Thor.

"Yes! Midgard has been very accomidating, especially with the refugees from the other realms! There are beings of all kinds in Asgard now." wait what-

Oh well, Ikol is narrowing his eyes...

No... HE'S NOT STUPID, EMOLGA THOR. "Shush Ikol."

"And how have the refugees been with Asgard? I somehow cannot imagine so many mingling without tension."

Thor continues to pout. And glare. But is unable to do anything.

"Oh yes, there was! Especially from the Frost Jotunn-" ...FROST jotunn..? There are others..?

"However, the All-Mother fixed it quickly, by putting together a council! That way, everyone is represented! We have a Storm Jotunn representing the giants, and then a dwarf, an elf..." ...Wow, all nine realms in one.

And too bad for you Thor. But lets face it, lEVEL DIFFERENCES.

"Why am I not surprised."

He seems grimly amused for just a moment, before the others on the council were listed off. Then, confusion.

"I was not aware that there were others..." Under his breath, but not under the assumption that this has made it inaudible. "Your part of reality is much different from mine own, it would seem, and not just in our personalities and circumstances."

Indeed. That said, Thor makes a move for Loki's shoulder and his usual spot, but since he's annoyed... ends up frizzing Loki's hair a little.

"Thor. Calm yourself and behave."

"Oh yes! There are many types of giants." Grinnnn~ "However, I am almost certain that despite differences, there are far more similarities-" Annnd...

"Thor?" NOT FOR REAL RIGHT??

Loki shrugs lightly, mainly with only one shoulder since the other is occupied.

"I took him with me as I travelled the worlds and upon arriving here, had him turned into a small squirrel type creature with an affinity for lightening and a gift for flight."

Deadpan. Also, apart from the first part, blatant lies.

"If that is so, it would seem he is taking it extremely well." Read- bullshit.

"He is indeed. He listens to what I tell him and does as I ask... most of the time. He seems to have retained most of his natural personality, however."

Thor lets out an 'Emolga mol?' which roughly translates to 'what the heck are they talking about?'

Ikol gives not a single glance at Loki, merely storing THAT particular phrase in the back of his mind.

"I am not entirely sure other-self," the boy continues with a small grin. "I should think that if the worlds were to do such a thing to our dear brother, it would be something a little more appropriate." Like what Loki, name one other Electric flying-

...right, zapdos.

"I would not know, but I see this current form as perfectly appropriate. Perhaps ours differ somewhat, or you are somewhat lacking in certain memories of him in our youth."

Round faced and more naively full of himself than he was now.

Zapdos would likely work just as well, if not better, but also a Zapdos would not be able to annoy Loki quite in quite so many finely tuned ways.

Yea Ikol just snorted there. Neither believe you but one's being more obvious about that!

"Ikol, shush."

[ In Sephiroth's experience anyone who refers to himself as innocent like that isn't very likely to be so. So... unamused face is go. ]

I believe someone at the Entralink would have given you enough information for you to choose a path for yourself here.

Oh yes. Plenty of advice on the rules and basics and things, but that tells me little about the world at large; if I'm to go on a journey in the woods then better to know what awaits me outside of 'a variety of pokemon' wouldn't you say?

There is literature about local Pokémon available in most towns.

[ And he hasn't even been anywhere near Route 1 so he doesn't even know what is to be expected there. ]

The camping part! I've never gone camping before really, so I want to hear a few opinions before I get going~

Well I was looking for opinions. What do you think of camping, not how. It can't be that hard to learn after all~

There can be varying opinions for how one should camp.
