Third Transmission - Video

[The video feed cuts on and Emmet's smiling, as he normally is. Though there's something...different about it. It's much more reserved than the forced, enthusiastic smile. He drums his fingers on the table humming thoughtfully.]

Strange occurance, this. I must wonder what sort of power could conjure such ridiculous nonsense as we've been put through here.

[He moves to rest his chin on laced fingers, staring right at the camera.]

I'd like to hear your thoughts, if you aren't too busy running in circles like panicked Whismur.

A valid point. Judging by your phrasing, I'd gather you aren't from such a world?

...No, I'm not. { Hesitation suggests this is not the whole truth. Does it count as a lie if maybe it used to be considered almost normal for weird stuff to happen in her world but, isn't really anymore? ]

[And he catches that hesitation.] Would you mind indulging my curiosity, then?

It's... a world. I suppose not too different than this one as far as terrain goes. Technology isn't too different. People...

[ Avoiding the subject of magic and people's opinions of it? Yeah she is. ]

Most of the creatures are nothing like Pokémon.

[ And there is no way she'd be able to put into words the difference between Pokémon and the monsters that live in her world. ]

Is that so? What manner of creatures are they?

...Most animals have similar shapes to some Pokémon but, have no powers. Some creatures have similar powers but, they're... sinister. Corrupt, unnatural and for the most part untameable. [ Not that everyone can sense what makes monsters so different.]

There were stories of people who could control them... for a while. [ She leaves what was said to happen when they lost control unspoken.] But you'd have to be over two hundred years old to have witnessed such a thing to know for sure if it's just a story or not. [ Says the girl who's mom is over two hundred. >.>;;]

My, my, how interesting...are such lifespans normal as well? Well over seventy or eighty years, I mean.

...No. It's... extremely rare to know someone who would claim to be that old. [ She should probably stop talking if she wants to avoid telling him something she shouldn't. O course at this point refusing to answer would probably be answer enough. ]

Hazel. And you? [ May as well know the name of someone she might want to avoid. ]

[Emmet had never been one to show his anger. But mostly because he couldn't!
So, right now, he looks the most angry he ever could be.
For quite a few seconds, he's silent. And then he speaks.]

[It's admittedly surreal, seeing his own face talk to him like that. But Emmet's face is proving to be an effective mask.]

I'm grateful for a repose from hiding. One can only get so much done from the shadows.

[...How fun! He doesn't stop for such silly things! Emmet likes you even more.]

[Well, at least Emmet was quick and to the point. And lucky for both of them, Archer is prompt. Outside the Center in no time, familiar Vulpix at his side.]
