First Lie : Nimbasa City - action

 Having fiddled around a little with his  Xtransceiver to figure out how the primitive technology worked, he's currently got the video function turned off, mostly because he doesn't like the idea of people trying to contact him before he's properly got his bearings in this new realm.

That does not mean to say, however, that he's not conspicuous, even in Nimbasa - he's still in his dark Asgardian clothes that he arrived in, the only additions being the green bag slung over his shoulder and the Emolga currently sitting on his shoulder.

The cold doesn't bother him at all.  Nor does the fact bother him all that much, due to that always having been the case, yet now there is a constant reminder attached to it.  Not one of them.  Something else...

He narrows his eyes, and continues to explore.

[Now that Loki's made eye contact Houndoom's stare becomes much more firm, only earning a slight brow raise from Archer. He wasn't sure if the other man was new to the region or not, but he certainly hadn't seen Loki's face in Nimbasa before.

So he smiled, pleasantly. That was usually enough for most people.]

[Loki smiles back. To all appearances, it could be a perfectly nice smile. But seen as this person has been staring at him for some time, it has a sharp edge to it.

He doesn't trust that easily. But he'll let it slide. Even if he is going to remember that face.]

[A tilt of the head as he catches that edge. Perhaps he had been a bit rude; no need to be going around making sour acquaintances. So he finally makes his way over, still smiling politely.]

Please pardon my lack of manners, good sir. I had only been trying to place your face.

[Loki notices, but doesn't react aversely. Neither does Thor, who simply watches from his perch on Loki's shoulder.]

Perhaps you have seen someone with similar features to my own, but I myself have not been here long. You'll forgive me for being wary of strangers, at least at first.

[He waves a hand dismissively.] I can hardly fault you for being wary in such a situation. In any case, allow me to welcome you to Unova.

A strange name for a strange land. I am known as Loki, and I am from Asgard. And you? You seem familiar with this realm. Is that from having been here at length, or are you native to the land?

[He's putting across the idea that it's simple curiosity that prompts him to ask, and in part it is. But information about people is always good.]

Pleased to meet you, Loki. You may call me Apollo.

I am not necessarily of this world, but of one very similar to it. I have been here for several months, however, and have become acquainted with its ways.

Apollo, then.

[If he knew enough about the other pantheons, then he would make a comment about the irony.]

That still means that you have more experience dealing with things that others would find strange. You have quite the advantage, then.
