First Lie : Nimbasa City - action

Having fiddled around a little with his Xtransceiver to figure out how the primitive technology worked, he's currently got the video function turned off, mostly because he doesn't like the idea of people trying to contact him before he's properly got his bearings in this new realm.

That does not mean to say, however, that he's not conspicuous, even in Nimbasa - he's still in his dark Asgardian clothes that he arrived in, the only additions being the green bag slung over his shoulder and the Emolga currently sitting on his shoulder.

The cold doesn't bother him at all. Nor does the fact bother him all that much, due to that always having been the case, yet now there is a constant reminder attached to it. Not one of them. Something else...

He narrows his eyes, and continues to explore.

Loki would have just let the human kid pass and ignore him if he hadn't been carrying that egg so precariously. So instead of getting out of the way, he tries to stop his mad pelt- somehow without causing him to drop the egg.

"Just what do you think you're doing?"

"SGHAAAAAAHHH-" You know Loki, he would have totally crashed into you. He almost did. He has barely skidded to a stop in front of you, and is now looking up and blinking. You're...

Tall. Well, taller than most of the people he's seen so far to be honest. "Ehhh..." RIGHT WHATEVER. "I need to get to the Gym..!" he manages to respond with a grin. "We're going to challenge the leader for the Bolt badge..!!"

The pokemon are slowly coming up behind him at this point, one carrying another it seems. A large bird-like one with a smaller teal turtle flaps over, followed by a ghostly lamp... A floating pink thing...

And a few others! Coming in a poncho, Astral briefly slows to a walk to catch his breath as Kuribolt settles beside him. "Hah... Y-Yuuma... We just got here..."

[And then another boy who looks a little younger than Yuuma following in a thick red coat and dark blue pants. He's faring better than Astral, but not by much. No matter how much exercise you might get, following Yuuma is no easy task! Loki might or might not spot a strange energy being, invisible to mortal eyes, behind Subaru-it's War-Rock!]

S-slow down, Yuuma-kun! A-astral has a point, you know...

Loki takes in the new boy with a glance, but gives a level, unimpressed look at Yuuma still.

"You're leaving your companions behind you and you're endangering your egg. I don't think you're ready to challenge anyone if that is what you think acceptable behaviour is."

He can't see War-Rock. Although Astral garners interest - blue, strange eyes - his attention is on Yuuma.

"EHH?? Endangering..?? But the Center said if I carried it-"

"Hahhhh..." Astral will be taking that egg now. "Yuuma. She said that if you walked, it would be fine, due to the heat in this area. However, you are lucky that you did not run into this man."

"Aheeeh..." Yuuma looks rightfully shamed- or at least somewhat embarrassed by that... "S-Sorry... B-But it's been an entire month..." A month since what?

Astral will merely shake his head- Kuribolt on the other hand, curiously sniffs this new person before yipping rather happily. "Zo! Zooo!!" And...

Jump?

A-Another Loki?? "Eheeeeheheeheheheh!!~"

You shouldn't go off looking for the gym without preparing, though! And don't you think you and your Pokemon (read: ALL OF US) should rest after going through the desert like that? We just got here...

[And then a sigh at Kuribolt's antics.]

"I agree with your friend here. You should prepare properly and be rested before taking on any challenge. Especially when it concerns others whom you happen to be travelling with."

Simply because he'd gone off the deep end towards the end didn't mean he couldn't think logically still, and this was to do with people... not monsters.

And then, another Loki. Loki blinks at it- him.

"I'm rather certain that I didn't do that one."

"Hai hai..." A-all of you you're ganging up on him ahhhh- "I get it..!!"

Again, Astral shakes his head, but he smiles nonetheless. "The Pokemon Center here isn't far- we'll stop there before looking around."

"AH- but-"

"Do you truly believe that we will be able to enter the Electric Gym during the lunch hour?"

"... ...Oh." He's been sorely defeated there and- "Ah-" TWO OF THAT GUY-

One of which is standing far less straight and giggling with a rather ridiculous grin on 'his' face. "O-OII!! K-Kuribolt!"

"Ehehehehe!!" Hop, spin- It's the emolga! "Zorua!"

"Kuribolt!! Oiii!!"

Another spin- It's Zorua again. "Eheheheh! Rnnn ERF!"

[Oi, Kuribolt...]

I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to that...

Loki, on the other hand, is rather amused.

"It's just a bit of harmless fun, am I not right?"

He shakes his head. Really, they are just children - children who should know better, but children all the same.

"Perhaps you could show me to this Pokemon Centre you mentioned." From what he's heard, it's a place of healing and rest. And as long as they're walking and not running, he's a bit more okay about Yuuma holding the egg - although he is going to be keeping an eye on both.

"Haha... Yea..!"

"Mn. Kuribolt's species are able to immitate any number of things in form; it is often used as a diversionary technique in battle." How informative Astral.

In any case, the zorua hops into Yuuma's arms, and he nods. "Ah- Right! Neh, ji-san... Are you new here then?" he asks, starting toward the Pokemon Centre. He's not running now- more likely because he figures they have an hour before the Gym is accessible really.

[Thank god you're not running anymore, Yuuma. Subaru only lets out a relieved sigh as he falls into a more relaxed pace.]

"I'm familiar with the idea; I've used it to good effect myself quite often."

He looks between the two, Thor happily saying hello to the new Pokemon the trainers had brought with them.

"I've just arrived, yes. Although I would prefer to be referred to by my name, rather than old man. I am Loki-" there was a slight pause. He's still getting used to that feeling of uncertainty when it came to giving his name. "Loki Vaetkisson, of Asgard. And you are-?"

He could point out that he already knew Yuuma's name, but he'd prefer the possibility that they might give him more than he would have thought to ask for.

"Asgard..?"

While Yuuma briefly ponders what Asgard is, Astral nods.

"I am Astral- Unfortunately, the name of my realm is yet debatable," he adds politely. "As of recent time outside of this one, I reside on Earth, with Yuuma."

...Yuuma who is still pondering to himself. "Oi oi I heard that befor- AH! Loki!!" Wat. "That was one of the Norse Gods!~" Wat. "So it's real?? That's so cool..!!!"

"...Mn-hn..." A cough from Astral snaps the boy out of it, and he hurriedly goes back to introductions.

"Aha- Tsuk- Ah..." He coughs, correcting himself. "Yuuma Tsukumo! I'm from Heartland, Japan~ And this is Kuribolt," he says looking to the zorua, "And Achacha," Pidgeot, "And Ganbara, and Galu, and..." As the turtle and munna are named, the ghost gives a cackle. "Muzumuzu!"

Yuuma what is with those names.

[Subaru blanches in shock when he hears what Yuuma's deduced, and he looks up in awe for a few moments before he realizes that Yuuma's done with introductions. Granted, he's met a god-like being before, ~~and destroyed it~~ but still...]

Unlike Yuuma, however, he doesn't actually have any of his own Pokemon out of their Pokeballs.]

A-ah, I'm- [And he stops himself, remembering Yuuma's own correction.] Subaru Hoshikawa...I'm from Earth also, but a different one, I guess... [Somehow.]

Oi, oi, don't forget to introduce me!

But he can't even see-

Hey, he's a god, right?

Eh...War-Rock's here too, but I don't know if you can see him...he's from the Planet AM...

"Mol! Molga!" Thor is apparently just as much of an attention seeker here as ever. Even though he's only named after the god.

"I suppose I should mention that I named the flying squirrel on my shoulder Thor." That smile is full of mischief. You can tell he's going to have fun with this and milk it for what it's worth. "And yes. That would be me." He bows slightly to them both, just a glorified dip of the head, really. "A pleasure to meet you. Although unfortunately it would seem as though I cannot see your other friend. Perhaps it is a measure of the power of this place, or some other reason which I may find out in due time."

"Hahaaaa! That's a good name..!" Yea this kid doesn't know much about the gods does he. He looks to where War-Rock is, nodding briefly before turning back. "Aah. War-Rock is made of... Electricity..?" Is that it?

"...EM Wave energy, Yuuma. 'Denpa'."

Oh. Thank you Astral. "Ah! Yea, that! Subaru's glasses can see that energy though, right?" he asks, looking back to Subaru. "Astral wasn't visible until a while ago either, but that was because of something else..."

Astral nods at that, pulling the horn around his neck into view from beneath the poncho. "Aah. The energies that brought me to Yuuma's realm apparently left me in a spirit like state there, visible to a choice few, such as himself. As it seemed however, there was a creature in the desert who gave an energy that could reverse this... Though technically, I am still bound to the key that brought me to existence," he adds, the key in question quite visible around Yuuma's neck.

Mm, that's correct, they can.

And yet this guy can't? Not much of a god, is he?

Don't be rude, War-Rock! [Sigh. At least they're at the Pokemon Center now?]

"I have to admit to not being overly familiar with the concept of electricity. You may have to teach about it. Perhaps that is another reason."

This probably doesn't help War-Rock's idea of him not being much of a god.

He pays attention to Astral's explanation, and then gives a quick look at the key itself. Nowhere near as intricate or as ornate as any of the treasures in his fa- Odin's vault. But apparently priceless and powerful nonetheless.

To Yuuma himself as well, as briefly, he looks upon the key rather fondly before grinning. "Well, there's a whole lot of it here..!"

"Indeed," Astral adds. "Nimbasa is home to the 'Electric Gym Leader', Elesa. The entire city is considered the most well lit location in Unova."

They are at the Pokemon Center now however it seems, so Yuuma pulls out some pokeballs. "Okay everyone! In you go..!"

A few rays of red light and all five of the balls are filled...

And in they walk. To one side a store can be seen, selling simple potions and things. At the far end, where Yuuma and the others will eventually find themselves, is the Nurse's station.

"Just come from the desert then?" she asks them with a smile. "Would you like to heal your pokémon?"

A nod, and the balls are held forward. "Aah! Yes please!"

Oi, oi, Subaru, are you really sure-?

War-Rock... [And then he turns his attention to the nurse.] Ah, yes...

[And then Subaru takes out four of his own Pokeballs, before looking up to Loki.]

What about, um...Thor? Does he need healing too?

Loki gives Thor a sideways glance.

"I don't think that it's necessary. We haven't needed to fight anyone since arriving, and he seems as lively as ever."

Thor himself spoke up at that with a bright smile.

"How does this work, now...?"

He's peering around. He means the Nurse's station, but it could be anything. It's all new to him.

Nurse Joy number whatever the heck to the rescue.

As the pokeballs are carefully taken back by an Audino, the woman smiles. "Oh! You must be one of the new arrivals," she cheerily exclaims, Yuuma briefly looking back as Astral watches.

"Would you like a tour of our facility then? The layout of a Pokemon Center is must-have knowledge for trainers of the region, and each city, town, and village is equipped with one."

[Subaru looks up at Loki.]

I think you should do it. I found it very helpful, at least...and Pokemon Centers are really useful.

He shrugs with his arms, rather than risk dislodging Thor from his shoulder, and then plucks the Emolga down.

"If you think so."

He raises an eyebrow at him, and at least he doesn't disagree, going back his pokeball with no further ado.

"A tour would be quite helpful, thank you."
