[OPEN - Video/Action] - Seventh Card & Sixth Shooting Star

It was probably the fact that he'd just woken up which allowed him to miss the large signs of the obvious when he did. But hearing Astral's voice, as well as the feeling of someone shaking his shoulder seemed to be all it took to wake him up- he'd jolted out of bed and, with no regard for perhaps telling any coming nurses what was going on, panicked.

"WUAAAAAHHH!!! I slept too long..!" Astral found himself mildly impressed with the speed that Yuuma took to leave; in just seconds he'd grabbed his bag, grabbed the pokeballs that Astral had finally been able to use to bring the pokemon in, and bolted.

"A-Ahh!! Yuuma!!" This was about all Astral had gotten out before the boy had fled.

Perhaps it was the fact that it was still winter, but evidently, Yuuma was entirely unaware of how much time had passed. Then again, running through the city for route four, he didn't seem aware of much of anything, which was probably why he crashed into someone standing at the sanded edge of it with a smack-

"ACH-"

"Heh??" As the boy he'd run into turned Yuuma rubbed his head, hissing somewhat.

"Ow ow ow ow ow..."

"H-Heh..!" The owner of the voice- Subaru as it turned out, balked. "Y-Yuuma-kun..! You're already awake??"

"Ehh?" He blinked, looking up and standing as he brushed sand from his pants. "Of course..!! I've already missed a day! I need to get to Nimbasa for the next badge!!"

"A day?" Subaru stared briefly, before looking around the boy. "...Also, Yuuma-kun, where is Astral..?"

"Eh? Astral? He's right..." Yuuma paused, turning to where he would normally hover while his friend briefly pulled down his visualizer as a precaution. "...Here..?"

"Hahh... hahhh..." The sound of relatively haggard breath took their attention, and both turned to the sight of Astral, garbed in the poncho, leaning upon a nearby fence for support as he carried something. "Hahhh... Y-Yuuma," he rasped, standing weakly as he stumbled over. "You are... Quite fast..."

"Ahhh-!" Subaru was the first to speak while the other stared in shock. "Yuuma-kun..! You need to be more considerate..!"

"Consid- Normally he just floats behind me, I didn't think-"

"Yuuma-kun..." The boy sighed. "Didn't you notice at all...?"

At this point, Yuuma blinked, looking back to Astral. Poncho was a strange addition but... "...EHHHHH!!" It hit him just then, evidently. "Y-You're solid..!!!"

Oh boy... "Mmmn... You didn't really think this through, huh Astral-kun..."

The former spirit sighed. "Admittedly, I had forgotten how likely he was to run the moment he realized he had been sleeping for long..."

"Ah- I'll give you that one at least..! Yuuma-kun, how are you able to feel so energetic... It's been at least two weeks hasn't it??"

Two- "Ehhh... T-TWO WEEKS???"

"Mmnnn... That is only taking into consideration the time it took to reach the desert and return; in reality Yuuma," Astral added, "You were comatose for a full month."

"A MONTH!?"

It looked as though the boy was ready to pass out, but Subaru merely nodded and continued. "Yea... Yuuma-kun, you shouldn't be running around; most people would stay in the hospital for a little longer after something like that..."

"N-No way!" he protested. "If I missed a month then I have no time to lose!! We need to go!! Glk-" As he prepared to run, his jacket was grabbed by both Astral and Subaru, the latter frowning.

"Yuuma-kun... Did you even prepare for this trip..??"

"You have not missed as much as you feel, Yuuma." Astral added calmly. "Your pokemon are more than strong enough for the gym challenge- even Ganbara should be fine."

"Eh? Ganbara?" As the others gestured to his fifth pokeball, the one inside apparently decided to show himself without an invitation, the shiny tirtouga chirruping from the ground.

"Tirrrr~"

"Wuaaaaahhhhh... You caught a pokemon Astral..??" Apparently this was enough to convince him to stay... More or less.

Astral nodded. "Aah. Additionally, I found this on the bedside table in the hospital. It is apparently yours... Though I am not sure what it is for," he added, holding a large blue egg.

"An egg?" Subaru asked idly, before looking back to Yuuma. "Well- we can talk about that later. Yuuma-kun! You can't leave without being prepared!"

"But I am prepared..!!"

"Not from what I heard... Come on," he added, grabbing the boy's jacket again and heading back to Castelia with a resigned sigh. "You should at least stock up on potions..."

"But really, I'm fine!! Astrallllll-"

"Yuuma, I would have to agree..."

"Whaaaaaat...?"

A bit of dragging and walking later, and everyone's split up more or less; Astral is in a far corner of the same store they purchased the poncho, examining a selection of hyper potions and the like as he holds a portion of Yuuma's apparently growing store of cash. Subaru in the meantime, is doing some similar browsing for the items he himself is limited to.

And Yuuma...

Is outside, holding the egg and sitting with all the pokemon- at least he can get to know Ganbara really.

Well... usually when you don't use your muscles for a long time they'll atrophy.

[ She studied healing enough to know that much. ]

The only things I can think of that prevent it aren't exactly natural.

[ She's not exactly sure though. ]

I wonder what prevented it though.

[Subaru's kept mostly quiet, even as he hears Yuuma talking over the XTransciever outside. He finally does recognize the voice, though, so once he finishes picking out what he wants, he chimes in on the video chat.]

Ah, Hazel-san! [There's a weak chuckle on his end.] I can't explain it myself...you'd think he'd be disoriented and tired after all that time out cold, right?

[Waht-] This thing does three-way calling..!?

[YUUMA IT CAN HANDLE FOUR CALLS. And-]

Eh- Subaru, you know her?

Oh. Hi, Subaru. [ She hasn't spoken to him since he was lost in Pinwheel Forest, has she? She doesn't remember and isn't going to try to figure it out right now. ]

Yeah. It's really weird. I can't help thinking it wasn't a normal coma.

Un, a little...we talked for a bit when I was lost in Pinwheel Forest and picked her feed up on the XTransiever. I thought I recognized her voice, anyway, looks like I was right!

[A small giggle, before sobering up again.]

I guess it wasn't. Maybe I'll ask Astral about it later...

I'm really fine...!! [Aaaaaghhh...

He sighs, shaking his head.] What's so bad about it anyway? I can't sit in a bed forever!

Um... I suppose there could be side-effects from whatever caused you to sleep so long.

That's true, Yuuma-kun. Pushing yourself too hard can always lead to trouble when you're not being careful!

[Yuuma, he's adopting that scolding tone with you again.]

...Oh. But... I had a really weird dream, come to think... [The look on his face says he hasn't decided if it was entirely unpleasant or not.]

[ Strange dreams could mean a lot of things. If doctors didn't give her the creeps she'd be suggesting a check up just to be safe. ]

Maybe stay in town for an extra day just in case... Though I suppose you could always warp to the Extralink if something happens while you're traveling...

I don't think he'd stay if he didn't have to...it was a hassle just getting him back here to restock, honestly!
