Battled... Him? Without Pokemon? Never. Sometimes, it was difficult to remember Dragonite wasn't human; it seemed like such a silly question. He would have laughed, if not for the situation and the nagging throb in his head.

And then Dragonite was on the ground, attacked by a Baltoy. Apparently, that was the last straw; he finally forced himself to his feet, placing a hand over the gash at his scalp, trying to stanch the bleeding.

"Leave her alone..." With shaking fingers, he reached for Zigzagoon's Pokeball, tossing it into the air above Dragonite and the Baltoy. It snapped open to reveal the raccoon Pokemon, who promptly plummeted out of the Great Ball, head first-- hurtling down at the Baltoy. It apparently knew its trainer's command before it was spoken. "Headbutt!"

Headbutt - it knocked the Baltoy off-balance, but it wouldn't K.O.. Of course it wouldn't K.O.. With a steady growl, Dragonite tried to stand - but her body was throbbing. Was it because she didn't have her typing anymore? Yeah, it was because her body was weak now. She couldn't even take a blow like that? How... bad. How weak.
But she still struggled to her feet, with a powerful roar. She didn't want to deal with these Pokemon - no matter how much she was injured. Giving a glance to N, she then felt around her belt...

Before letting out Swablu. They needed all the help they could, right? Even if Dragonite still disliked the small, annoying (but brave) bird.

N glanced concernedly at Dragonite. Of course, she was used to being a Pokemon-- a powerful dragon Pokemon, no less. Humans, however, were not built to fight against Pokemon.

When she let out Swablu, he gave her a small nod of approval (though it prompted a slight wince on account of his injury). Fighting against these Pokemon alone, as humans, was fighting a battle they wouldn't win.

"Zigzagoon," he called, and the Pokemon rushed back to stand at Swablu's side, ready for battle. N's eyes slid past the pair to Zorua and the Sigilyph, still wrestling on the ground, the Sigilyph pinned by one now crooked wing. He cringed sympathetically; this was horrible. They were only trying to protect Unova from a potential threat... "Use Growl."

The Zigzagoon obeyed, giving a sort of roar of his own. It wasn't an offensive move, of course, but it would lower the strength of the opponents' moves, whether they chose to attack the Pokemon or the trainers. "Then, use Headbutt again."

Hissing, Dragonite looked to the once-floating Pokemon - before turning to Swablu, as well as the Baltoy. They needed to take it down, too - make it faint. And N seemed okay with the Sigilyph. "Swablu - I don't know how you attack, but attack that Baltoy!"

Swablu gave a brave nod, and dived towards the Baltoy - Astonish. The spinning top flinched, and Dragonite laughed to herself - before leaping towards the creature itself. Of course she was to take it down herself. Swablu let out a sigh, and then turned to N. If he needed help, it was ready to help...

...after all, it looked like Dragonite was handling herself. Violently, too.

N gave a little wince as Dragonite set to attacking the others.

"Be careful," he warned weakly, unaware if she would even listen to him through the turmoil. He abruptly seemed to remember something and added promptly, "And don't kill them! They've done nothing wrong!" That, he assumed, would be an especially difficult thing to get across.

With Dragonite keeping the Baltoy at bay, he moved his attention to the Sigilyph, which was now screeching out a nearly incoherent chant that sounded vaguely like "stay away" as Zorua and Zigzagoon whittled away at its strength. He approached carefully, flinching every now and then as a stray Gust cut at him. He reached for another Pokeball at his belt-- the last Great Ball that remained in his possession-- and reached out, gently pressing it to the Sigilyph's side. It disappeared inside the capsule, and he forced it closed with both his hands, keeping it shut as the Pokemon tried to struggle free. A moment later, though, it stilled, and, heaving a sigh, he returned it to his belt.

That happened relatively quickly, and the surrounding Golett and Baltoy's attacks seemed to cease for a moment, stunned as the largest member of their group disappeared. Zorua and Zigzagoon looked confused for that moment as well, but soon moved to stand at N's feet again. He was the first to begin the attack again.

"Zorua, Leer! Zigzagoon, Growl!" The Pokemon quickly obeyed. If N remembered battle tactics correctly, those should affect all the attacking parties-- lowered strength of attack, and lowered defenses. He turned to Swablu. "Swablu, those Golett-- Use Astonish, understand?"

Dragonite had gone into attack mode. Into survival mode. She wasn't listening to the world around her - she was too busy trying to protect herself, like back at home. She was scared. Terrified. And she knew she wasn't going to hold back. Because, if she held back, she'd be as good as dead... in this body, anyway.

Swablu, however, was listening intensly to N. And when he ordered the Astonish? It came as quick as his voice finished, the small, untrained Swablu seemingly going to crash into the Golett - stopping a brief second before it did. The perfect way to flinch people is to scare them, after all.

As Swablu struck, however, Dragonite had succeeded. She'd weakened the Baltoy, to the stage that it wouldn't be able to fight back. She didn't look like she was stopping intentionally, however. Her hands were bloody, from the Pokemon spinning in them. Her breath was harsh, from tiredness. From this stupid body. Damn it.

The Golett flinched, and N took the moment to glance over at Dragonite. His eyes immediately moved to her bloodstained hands, wide with shock. Instinctually, he reached out and grasped at her upper arm, pulling her toward him. He stepped before her, placing himself between her and the closest attackers.

"You see?" he questioned, keeping his eyes trained on the battle. "That is why humans do not battle as Pokemon do-- we are not built for it."

The Golett began to move again, and he grit his teeth. "Zigzagoon, Tail Whip-- Zorua, Pursuit-- Swablu, Astonish again!" He was talking so quickly it was beginning to become almost intelligible; commanding three Pokemon at once was not something he was used to. But his own Pokemon seemed to understand it well enough, rushing forward to lash out accordingly at the offending Golett.

N glanced over his shoulder at Dragonite. "Let me handle these Golett-- Then, we shall get your hands looked at." They certainly looked painful... And besides, it would be wise to get his head looked at as well.

Not only did N's Pokemon understand the command, Swablu did as well - diving in for another Astonish. By now, it was as if Swablu was one of the three in the gang. As if it were N's...

Dragonite let out a growl as N grabbed her. But she couldn't fight back... she couldn't. She'd gotten hurt by a simple Pokemon - if she was still normal, if she hadn't become this beast, that would have barely hurt. She then let out a hiss. "I... I can still fight! I have to!"

But, she wasn't moving to fight. She was... in shock, basically. From getting that injury. She then sighed. "...Fine, N."
