EVENT - Pokemon attacking and stuff

So. It's morning, in winter. It's a nice time, nice and cool. Well, cold, but whatever. This is a short part, because the majority of this EVENT OPENING will be in comments below this.

So yeah. Pokemon are wrecking shit, looking for you guys from other universes.

[OOC INFO POST]

These will link to the comments - in case LJ derps and has trouble loading the comments.

[ACCUMULA] [NIMBASA]

[identity profile] thomas-sinclair.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[Thomas is going through a routine that has become embarassingly habitual -- Wake up, buy coffee, go to park, read strategy book, try to figure out what the devil the book means by special defense...

He is currently on Step 3: Go to Park when chaos descends on sleepy Accumula. His backpack on his back, coffee in one hand, and his book in the other, he steps out of the Pokemon Center and freezes suddenly.]
The bloody hell is this...?

[Two strange things that look like they are made of clay are spinning rapidly in the street. Thomas stares at them, slightly nervous. They are Pokemon? Maybe? Local townspeople are starting to get anxious -- more of the clay things begin appearing on the street. Quite slowly, a Sigilyph floats down, turning its surreal, unearthly body until it faces Thomas. In a fleeting, terrifying moment, it seems to recognize him. Thomas steps back in alarm, towards the door of the Pokemon Center he had just exited, but suddenly he shouts, drops his coffee and book and puts his hands to his ears. A horrible noise has invaded his mind, seeming excruciating loud but with no source he can identify. The Sigilyph's eyes glow brightly: Psywave.]

AND THEN THERE WAS VIOLENT TL;DR OOPS

[identity profile] the-nth-power.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
The moment N decided to take a step outside, he had a feeling something was wrong. Even before he exited the Pokemon Center door, Zorua-- perched faithfully on his shoulder-- began to growl warningly, and the sounds outside were equally as intimidating. The vengeful cries and sounds of wreckage made him tremble, but he didn't hesitate for long before he marched out the doors. There was no way he was going to stand idly by, fearing for both the Pokemon and for the new outsiders.

Instantly, he was assaulted by a sudden, powerful gale-- one that seemed to cut at his face and clothes like daggers. N had barely enough time to identify the attack as Gust before the force of it sent Zorua careening from his shoulder. He whirled around and bolted for her, scooping her into his arms just as the attacker swooped down and hovered before him.

A Sigilyph. N took a step back, stunned.

"I can fight, lemme fight, N!" Zorua protested, but N ignored her, instead clutching her protectively against his chest. Zigzagoon, loyally at his side, stepped forward instead, baring his fangs and yapping insistently.

"You aren't meant to be here, friend," N began, trying to keep his voice steady as the Sigilyph loomed over him, third eye darting about agitatedly. "You are far from home... Go back. It needs your protection--"

"Correct," the Sigilyph answered quickly, voice hollow and quick. "It needs protection. From outsiders. From trespassers. From you."

N froze. But that couldn't be, could it? He wasn't an outsider-- this was his home too. It... couldn't be. "You don't understand, I--"

He was interrupted by a yelp from Zigzagoon, and turned to see the raccoon Pokemon dangling from a Golett's hand, held up by the tail. Instinctually, he made a dash for the pair, grabbing the Golett's wrist with one hand, still holding Zorua with the other. He spoke pleadingly, looking into rage-filled eyes: "Stop it! Leave him be-- cease this!" Thinking quickly, he brought out Zigzagoon's Pokeball-- the Great Ball he had accidentally captured the Pokemon with. In a moment, Zigzagoon was gone, and the Golett was left clutching thin air. And he reached for Zorua's--

A shadow loomed over him, and just as he looked up, the Sigilyph crashed into his skull. Pain exploded behind his eyes, blinding him for a moment and sending him sprawling. He held onto Zorua desperately, still clutching her feebly as he collapsed.

"N! ... N!" Zorua yipped, squirming out of his arms and attempting to lick the blood from his face. "N, you're okay! You're okay! C'mon!"

"Zorua..." he mumbled dazedly. He was going to tell her to run, but the sharp throb in his head placed the words in an impossible jumble.

The Sigilyph hovered closer. "Pokemon of the outsider. You are an enemy too."

"Yeah, that's right!" Zorua growled, shrouding herself in an Illusion-- a second N standing over the first. "Leave us alone!" She leapt at the Sigilyph, tearing it out of the air by one wing. It shrieked in alarm, beating its other wing angrily and sending waves of Psychic energy at its attacker. None of them had any effect.

Kept conscious by the sounds of violence, N began to struggle to his feet. Why was this happening? --No, wait... He knew exactly why. He should have known the breach of the Entralink would have had more dire consequences. He was so ready to introduce the world to them-- teach them how to respect it in their time here, protect it from them. In this case, it would be the exact opposite-- protect them from it.

But he couldn't even stand upright. Some excuse for a hero he was.

"Zorua, stop it... Stop, both of you...!" His voice wasn't nearly as strong as he would have hoped, and it went ignored.

Miror B. was right, it turned out-- Demyx really did enjoy Nimbasa. It almost reminded him of the "better times", with all those lights and excitement... It was almost nostalgic.

He had taken up temporary residence in the Pokemon Center, and was ready for another day of lazing about in the streets with Arpeggio and his Tympole...

When this happened. Strange-looking Pokemon wandering around everywhere. Sure, they were a little bit threatening-looking... But the Pokemon he'd seen had been perfectly friendly, as well as seemingly sentient! So when one-- a Golett-- stepped forward, Demyx threw caution to the wind and kneeled before it, raising a hand in greeting.

"Hey there, little guy! G'morning!" he started cheerfully. But then the Golett raised its fist, its fingers glowing a bizarre bluish-white color. Demyx paled. Uh-oh. "Uh, hey, what're you doin'--"

And the fist promptly collided with his face. He recoiled with a yelp and scrambled to his feet, clutching his nose.

"Agh-- ugh-- wh-- What the crap, dude?!" he sputtered, backing away from the Pokemon as it prepared another attack. "Aah! G-get away--!!"

Suddenly, Tympole threw itself from his head and flopped onto the Golett's head. It stayed still for a few moments before it began to flail and shake violently, chirping out sharp notes and covering the Golett in a barrage of... bubbles.

Demyx couldn't help but stare at the scene speechlessly for a moment. Then, he grinned approvingly. "A tadpole after my own heart, huh. Keep it up, Gigs!"

He absentmindedly took a step back, and his ankle was met with... what felt like clay. Peering over his shoulder, he found another Golett-- eyes glowing with what he guessed was malice, and fist glowing with... what looked like lightning. Oh crap oh crap oh crap--

"... Aaaaaaaalright, time to go!!"

He bolted away just in time, electricity nipping at his heels, and headed for the first Golett, scooping up Gigs in one arm and making a break for it.

... For clay robots, he realized, those Golett were pretty dang fast.

"Oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh craaaaaaap!" he chanted as he ran aimlessly. Hey, in this kind of panic, you didn't look where you were going! You just focused on running. And Demyx was ready to run like hell.

What a weakling, Dragonite thought, as she watched from inside the Pokemon Center doors. Oh, she was going to come out and fight, of course. She was a fighter. These creatures were dangers, they could kill her. Oh, and her... the people she travelled with. But why... why was this man so weak? He wasn't even fighting back. So... this was so confusing.
With a growl, Dragonite exited the center, and looked over N. "C'mon, N, have you battled before?" she asked, as she looked at the Pokemon. Two kinds she didn't know, and one she'd seen once or twice before. With a growl, she glared at them - before one of the Baltoy gripped to Dragonite with a slight Confusion, knocking her to the ground. Great, she'd have a headache after this.

[identity profile] the-nth-power.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Battled... Him? Without Pokemon? Never. Sometimes, it was difficult to remember Dragonite wasn't human; it seemed like such a silly question. He would have laughed, if not for the situation and the nagging throb in his head.

And then Dragonite was on the ground, attacked by a Baltoy. Apparently, that was the last straw; he finally forced himself to his feet, placing a hand over the gash at his scalp, trying to stanch the bleeding.

"Leave her alone..." With shaking fingers, he reached for Zigzagoon's Pokeball, tossing it into the air above Dragonite and the Baltoy. It snapped open to reveal the raccoon Pokemon, who promptly plummeted out of the Great Ball, head first-- hurtling down at the Baltoy. It apparently knew its trainer's command before it was spoken. "Headbutt!"
emmet: (Default)

[personal profile] emmet 2011-09-01 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Emmet had expected today to be another quiet, lazy day. He'd expected himself to just go out and do some more training, as he started to formulate what he needed to do in this world, while still staying semi-loyal to the team.

But this was not lazy. There were Pokemon everywhere outside, wrecking stuff. How... interesting. Emmet, looked over at then, as they rushed to him.]

...Yup. This is not normal. [He said, to himself - well, to himself and his team of Pokemon.] It is time to battle.

[Emmet is a Subway Boss. He's good at taking care of these sort of Pokemon - even if they are more powerful then his. If you come to him, you may find him locked in battle - Joltik stunning Pokemon, as Zigzagoon tries to take them down. Of course, he's locked in battle with only two (because Double Battles, he's locked in a battle with a Sigilyph and Baltoy)... and another, a Golett, is coming up to him, hands shimmering with Ice Punch... help?]

((OOC: Also note that my LJ is messed up right now - so I may be slow because of that.))

Headbutt - it knocked the Baltoy off-balance, but it wouldn't K.O.. Of course it wouldn't K.O.. With a steady growl, Dragonite tried to stand - but her body was throbbing. Was it because she didn't have her typing anymore? Yeah, it was because her body was weak now. She couldn't even take a blow like that? How... bad. How weak.
But she still struggled to her feet, with a powerful roar. She didn't want to deal with these Pokemon - no matter how much she was injured. Giving a glance to N, she then felt around her belt...

Before letting out Swablu. They needed all the help they could, right? Even if Dragonite still disliked the small, annoying (but brave) bird.

Three... four... five Claydol. No, six! Six Claydol.

[Miror B. perches somewhat precariously on a fence at the top of a steep drop overlooking Accumula's Town Square. He looks very composed, amused even, by the swarm of Pokemon descending on the sleepy town.]

No, no, no! There's another one. Is that seven? Oh, I've lost count. And what about those Sigilyphs? Ooh, I've never seen those before! [He grins, lightly kicking the heels of his platform boots against the metal rungs of the fence.] Fuhohoho! What fun! I -- oh, oh! What's that now? [A noise behind him: heavy, shuffling foot-steps. Miror looks over his shoulder to see a Golett, its fists raised dangerously.] Whatever do you want, love?

[The Golett pulls back its fist, hungry flames licking up from its surface. Miror B. hesitates a moment -- Pokemon attacking people wasn't outside his realm of experience, but... The instant the Golett rushes forward to Fire Punch, Miror leaps up. He lands, standing on top of the fence rail, balanced on his heels in what no one could argue is an amazingly elegant move. The Golett swings wide and Miror leaps over its head, landing gracefully on the ground. He frowns.] Oh-so-rude of you! Where is your master, you horrible thing?"

[Miror looks around quickly, spotting Emmet in a sticky situation further down the street. He gives the Golett that attacked him a dirty look then runs towards Emmet, releasing his Lotad and Snivy as he goes.] Snivy, Vine Whip that Golett! [He points towards the Pokemon that is about to sneak attack Emmet. No one is allowed to punch Miror B.'s lackeys except Miror B.!

The Snivy spins, building momentum, then slams a vine down on the Golett's arm. The Ground-type howls in surprise.]
Watch your back, darling! [Miror laughs as he stops near Emmet, finding the chaos immensely amusing.] These nasty Pokemon don't play by the rules!

LOL OOPS IT'S STILL WINTER ;;

In her usual oblivious fashion, Paprika only bothers to open the window to take a look outside and decide whether or not it's worth getting up early. She's about to go back to bed and sleep through the entire mess, when a Sigilyph decides it has a prime opportunity to slap into her window like something out of some B-movie.

"Holy shit!" she yelps, toppling backwards onto Old Man and waking Robin up in the process. "N? There's like, this thing here, and it's glowing and shit!" With no immediate response, Paprika decides to do what any person with zero special skills does best--she gets the hell out, Robin perched on her shoulder. Old Man follows her down the stairs of the Pokemon Center with surprising speed, though with far more grace, given that Paprika slips down the last few steps and lands squarely on her unfortunate posterior, just in time to see N get nailed by the other Sigilyph. Paying no heed to the fact that she's still barefoot, she bursts through the door, nearly hitting N again. The road to hell really is paved with good intentions...

Cautiously, she taps N on the shoulder, Robin tensed on hers to attack.

"Dude, are you okay?"

nepeta that's not how pokémon battles work

[identity profile] arsenictrainer.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[Nepeta had only just arrived in Accumula after much fooling around hard work, hunting and training with her new kitten on Route One. The Pokémon running about didn't seem like an oddity to her, but the panicked screams sure did.]

Huh?

[And she had just barely turned around in time to see a Sigilyph notice her and immediately head straight for her with a zen headbutt.

But this mighty huntress isn't about to take that.
] Ah! [Just barely, Nepeta manages to spring to the side and out of its path.] Spark it, Leon! [Her Shinx's fur glimmers with electricity and he slams himself right into the Sigilyph—he hasn't quite mastered the move yet, only managing to learn it from their weeks of hard work back on Route One—and Nepeta follows up by slamming herself right into the Pokémon.

Yet there are more. Another Spark and a few scratches from the mighty huntress that is Nepeta Leijon and the Sigilyph is down, but there are more of them, and these stone statues.

And Nepeta just grins and crouches, ready to spring.
]

We've got this, Leon!

[Let the hunt begin.]

[identity profile] arsenictrainer.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Fortunately for Thomas, Nepeta over here has totally got this under control—by which I mean she's been running up and down the city with her Pokémon and hunting down Pokémon after Pokémon and just generally kicking ass and taking names. So cue the troll-girl springing forward and launching herself full force into the Sigilyph and rolling off of it just in time to let a Shinx charge into it with an amateurish Spark attack.] Purrfect shot, Leon!

[Okay, so that's not how you're supposed to fight Pokémon, but at least the method is effective.]

[identity profile] gnostictrainer.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[Jade is a stupid tourist, Iris is easily excitable and Nimbasa is absolutely huge, and it was this combination of factors that ended up getting them separated.

She can't be too far off, Jade is sure, and so she's wandering the area around the Ferris Wheel when it happens.
]

Iris? Iri—oh! [Now, where did that little clay robot...doll...thing come from? She's almost tripped over it.] What's thi—

[WHAM! It happens faster than she can blink; the Golett launches itself forward with a Fire Punch but the Growlithe at Jade's side springs into action with an Ember attack to cancel it out. Good dog, best protector.]

Whoa! A-all right, Bec, get ready! [Admittedly Jade has no idea what to do but she'd better learn fast, because there are more of these vicious Pokémon closing in on her and her one-dog team.]

[identity profile] thomas-sinclair.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[Thomas stumbles backwards, gasping, as the psychic attack is interrupted. His head is pounding, but at least the noise has stopped. Blinking, he tries to figure out what's going on.

A... girl? just tackled the horrible bird thing. Good lord, it looks like an enchanted stained-glass window or something! The girl -- wait, is she grey? Are those horns? -- seems unharmed, and her Pokemon is attacking the bird thing. Right! Pokemon. Thomas reaches into his coat pocket and retrieves a Pokeball. But then he pauses, looking at the ball uncertainly. His eyes narrow.

N said Pokemon didn't attack people, didn't try to kill them. That's what he said! Not unless something was wrong. Thomas looks around. The only thing he can see that's wrong is the bloody swarm of monstrosities closing in on him and Nepeta. He sighs, motionless for a moment, then slowly puts the Pokeball back in his pocket.

He looks at Nepeta as he begins removing his backpack.]
Miss, are you all right!? Thank you for stopping that thing! [Thomas slides his walking stick out of where he'd lashed it to his backpack and holds it under his arm as he begins fumbling with the zipper of one of the backpack pockets. Hesitating for a second, he reaches into the pocket and pulls out a revolver and six bullets. Dropping the backpack on the ground, he snaps open the cylinder and begins loading the chambers.]

Don't worry, I'll get this under control in just a secon -- Oof! [A Baltoy has just Rapid Spun into Thomas's back. He reels forward, dropping three of the bullets and the half-loaded gun, which slides away from Thomas and towards Nepeta and Leon. Thomas lies on the ground, stunned from the blow.]

[identity profile] the-nth-power.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
N glanced concernedly at Dragonite. Of course, she was used to being a Pokemon-- a powerful dragon Pokemon, no less. Humans, however, were not built to fight against Pokemon.

When she let out Swablu, he gave her a small nod of approval (though it prompted a slight wince on account of his injury). Fighting against these Pokemon alone, as humans, was fighting a battle they wouldn't win.

"Zigzagoon," he called, and the Pokemon rushed back to stand at Swablu's side, ready for battle. N's eyes slid past the pair to Zorua and the Sigilyph, still wrestling on the ground, the Sigilyph pinned by one now crooked wing. He cringed sympathetically; this was horrible. They were only trying to protect Unova from a potential threat... "Use Growl."

The Zigzagoon obeyed, giving a sort of roar of his own. It wasn't an offensive move, of course, but it would lower the strength of the opponents' moves, whether they chose to attack the Pokemon or the trainers. "Then, use Headbutt again."

Re: oh no it is a random stranger let's help

[identity profile] brightvesperia.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Estelle blinked as she returned from Route 2 to find swarms of Pokemon attacking passerbys in Accumula Town. A lot of people had paired up, but one poor girl looked terribly surrounded.

"Ah! Ah! Um, oh I know! Hachiko go! Use... Bite!" Estelle commanded, sending out her Lillipup from her Pokeball and fumbling around with the Pokedex to check out the new move her companion had learned while training on Route 2.

"Arf! Arf!" Hachiko barked, launching himself straight into one of the strange statue Pokemon and biting down hard on it.

The Pokemon seemed to notice Estelle's presence instantly, and traveled toward her menacingly.

"Oh dear... Um..." Estelle panicked, fumbling with her bag, and paling as she remembered she hadn't brought really anything from her world over here.

Good job.

PFFFT NO PROB, BRO

[identity profile] the-nth-power.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Startled, he flinched and jerked his head up to look at her. Only Paprika; he relaxed, but the sudden movement sent a wave of pain through his head, and he shut his eyes with a hiss. Clamping a hand over the wound at his scalp, he moved to sit on his knees.

"I..." he started dazedly. He pulled his hand away, narrowing his eyes disapprovingly when he saw his fingers stained with blood. "I will be fine..."

Everything looked-- and felt-- hazy around the edges, but, looking forward, he caught sight of Zorua, still wrestling with the Sigilyph pinned beneath her. A strike from the Sigilyph's non-crippled wing made her revert to her original form, but she kept on attacking. N winced and attempted again to get to his feet.

"These Pokemon... are protectors," he explained, speaking haltingly. "To... get rid of the outsiders..."

The Golett from earlier finally noticed him again and began to approach, fist raised and crackling with what looked like lightning. N staggered backward a little.

"That apparently means us."

this took way too long and i'm bad at writing actiony scenes afkghjdfkgfdh sorry

[identity profile] arsenictrainer.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[Nepeta springs back to her feet at the sound of Thomas's voice while Leon knocks out that Sigilyph. She just beams right back, though, like this is more of a sport for her than a sort of crisis here.] Yup, just purrfect! [And then she's up and at it again—a Golett's Ice Punch barely sidestepped just before Nepeta gives Leon an opening to ram into it with a Tackle attack.

While Thomas is fussing with his things and Leon is duking it out with the Golett, she's assessing the situation like a good huntress should—there are at least six, but definitely not more than twelve and whoops better duck down that way just in time to avoid that Sigilyph there.

And they're hostile. That's important, too.

At the sound of the 'oof', though, she turns around just in time to watch the gun fall after Thomas does and slide towards her and Leon, who has just finished taking down that Golett.
]

Leon, get...that thing! [It takes Leon a moment to follow Nepeta's gaze towards the Baltoy who had just rammed itself into the man's back, but once he catches on he bolts forward and slams into the Baltoy with all of his little might. Meanwhile Nepeta has sprung for the gun in an attempt to return it, but only barely manages to kick it back before another Baltoy comes flying towards her and sets up a field of Stealth Rocks.]

...No purroblem. [And even if she's not totally sure about that 'no problem' bit, she crouches like she was taught and prepares to pounce.]

DOGS AND CATS FIGHTING SIDE-BY-SIDE, WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO

[identity profile] arsenictrainer.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Nepeta actually hadn't even noticed the Golett sneaking up on her; the distraction of the other Pokémon she and Leon were trying to plow through was enough to make her miss it entirely. She didn't, however, miss the other girl's command and the Lillipup's attack that followed.

She jumped up and turned just in time to watch the statue turn towards the girl, who was panicking and trying to do something, and start to walk towards her. And so Nepeta did the only logical thing to do—rush forward and tackle the Pokémon into the ground and roll off just in time to let her Shinx ram into it with a Tackle attack.

Okay, so maybe not an ordinary trainer's first choice, but it was something.

pffft you are fine. P.S. OH NO CRAZED GUNMAN N AAAAH

[identity profile] thomas-sinclair.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[It takes Thomas a few moments to recover from the shock of being hit, and, as he scrambles to his feet, he begins to feel angry. The gun, kicked towards him by Nepeta, spins along the ground and stops near his feet. He leans down and picks it up, scooping up the two loose bullets he can find as well. No time to load them into the chambers, though. He stuffs them in his pocket and lifts the gun anxiously, looking around.

There are so many of them! Just here, four of those spinning clay things, four of the little golems, and four of those horrible birds -- one or two of the Pokemon have been fairly well dispatched by Nepeta and Leon but there are still more on the street around them.]
This is bloody insane! [He watches the Baltoy set up the Stealth Rocks around Nepeta, a dangerous field of sharp stones floating around in the air, and, angrily, Thomas aims his gun at the Baltoy.]

Sorry, N... [He mutters, then pulls back the hammer of the revolver, stands as steady as he can with a throbbing headache, and fires.]

CRACK-BOOM

[Violently, the Baltoy seems to explode into shards of clay and dust with an echoing, hollow cry escaping from the wreckage. The Stealth Rocks stop floating abruptly and fall to the ground. Thomas takes a step back, wide-eyed. The Pokemon that had been closing in on him all move back also, in fear. The sound of a gunshot is completely foreign to them, and of course the death of the Baltoy has disturbed them. Thomas wheels around, his gun up, aware that he only has two bullets left and shocked by the fact that he actually shot one of them. A Golett steps forward cautiously, its fists flaring up in a firey blaze, looking somewhat furious. Thomas locks onto that one, his hands shaking a bit. He cocks the hammer of the gun again, not sure what to do now. He can't shoot all of them! He curses under his breath.] Bloody hell, what have I gotten myself into?

I THINK I NEED TO ROLL A SPOT CHECK FOR THIS.

[identity profile] brightvesperia.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"E-eh?" Estelle blinked as the other girl aggressively tackled the other Pokemon. "O-oh! Why thank you! Um... oh no! Hachiko Bite that other thing!" Estelle commanded, pointing rapidly toward the Sigilyph swooping down toward Nepeta.

"RUFF!" Hachiko bellowed, using Nepeta's head as a stepping stone to jump off of, sinking its fangs into the flying Pokemon's chest...head... thing.

Estelle spotted a stray trash can lid and a good-sized pipe and quickly moved to pick them up.

"Uwaaaah! Go away!" Estelle cried, giving a warning swing toward the Pokemon.

"Are you alright?" Estelle inquired to Nepeta, a bit worried.

[identity profile] the-nth-power.livejournal.com 2011-09-02 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
[There is a flicker of gray behind the attacking line of Pokemon, and Zorua appears, darting between each Baltoy until she's reached her destination. She places herself between Thomas and the Sigilyph with a snarl. N's voice calls from a short distance away:] Pursuit! [Zorua's fur begins to glow a ghostly purple color, and she suddenly leaps, throwing her body into the Sigilyph with a surprising amount of force.

Meanwhile, N approaches at a somewhat unstable jog. He looks like he's been having a bit of a tough time with the visitors himself: his usual cap is gone, replaced with a hastily-tied bandage that doesn't quite hide the drying blood staining his forehead and cheek. He stops a few paces away, breathing hard.]
Thomas...

OH SHIT EVERYONE GET DOWN

[identity profile] arsenictrainer.livejournal.com 2011-09-02 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
CRACK-BOOM, [and Nepeta nearly jumps a foot in the air as the Baltoy just explodes right in front of her and the Stealth Rocks drop.

Did that just happen?

That just happened.

Holy crap.

For a moment, Nepeta freezes, stunned. That clay top thing just exploded. But there are so many Pokémon left, maybe about nine right around them, and they're starting to move again, so she springs back into action.

That Golett with its hands burning is the most immediate threat so of course that's the one Nepeta goes for first. She growls at it before she lunges, claws out, only to feint at the last moment, retract her claws and roll to the side.
] Leon! [And at the sound of his name, the Shinx rams into the distracted Pokémon's side.] Good! [Nepeta stands and lets out her claws, long and shining and ready to strike. She glances towards Thomas and then the gun before she goes to do anything else, though—she isn't scared, but she is fairly uneasy and unsure about this whole shooting-Pokémon-and-making-them-spontaneously-combust thing.]

I SHOULD KNOW WHAT A SPOT CHECK IS

[identity profile] arsenictrainer.livejournal.com 2011-09-02 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Nepeta made a sort of mewling sound as the Lillipup jumped from her head like it was a springboard but was back into the fight in less than a second, shouting out, "Bite, Leon!" to let her Shinx sink his teeth into a Golett that had been readying an ice punch before letting out her claws and lashing out towards a Sigilyph that had gotten too close for comfort.

"Pawsitively fantastic!" she answered, and offered Estelle a bright grin. "The mighty huntress is undeterred by these beasts!" She paused to slash her claws as a warning shot towards a Baltoy that was quickly rammed into by Leon. "And you?"
