Audino was probably right in deciding he was ready for the gym. In fact, he insisted that it had 'taken them long enough' when Otogi finally said so, and the group headed toward Nacrene proper. Audino himself was plenty strong enough...

He just had... Such a temper...

"OIIIIIII!! What's that you just said about my voice..!?!"

The Cinccino across from him snorted, dodging the audino's enraged punches with ease. "I said it was worse than the sound of a hoarse Murkrow. That's what."

Another punch, and another miss. "LIKE HECK IT IS..!!!"

"Your words do nothing to change my mind."

"RAAAAAAAAAAA- -GLHk-"

Otogi resisted the urge to slam a hand against his face as Audino was launched back, sighing as the pokemon failed to move. A look down to Golett, and the little rock pokemon moved forward.

"Oho... The hoarse one is replaced by stone..?" The Cinccino laughed, apparently trying to use similar tactics on Golett as she had the Audino before her.

Quite obviously, it didn't work, and a few dynamic punches that really weren't very dynamic sounding when coming from a monotoned and possibly depressed Golett won them the badge.

"Hahhhhh... We did warn you," Otogi muttered in the aftermath, Lenora momentarily distracted with recalling her own pokemon and gathering the prize.

Audino for his part, managed to at least attempt to look a little dignified. "Blaaaaaaahhhh" Key word attempt.

Lenora quickly returned, badge and prize in hand. "Whoo! That was one interesting battle..!" she laughed, Otogi merely smiling in response. "A mute trainer... They listen very well despite the lack of commands- you must have a strong sense of trust between you all I bet."

Another smile was the response, and the badge and things were passed over. "I ought to send word to Burgh- you'll be taking the rest of the gyms on right?" A nod, and Lenora continued. "Glad to hear it! You take care while going through the forest then alright? Don't stray too far from the path!"

More nodding- and a bit more onesided conversation later and Otogi can be found with Audino outside the Pokemon Center. "You alright now..?"

"BAH."

[>You decide that your team had enough training for the day and needed a rest at the Pokemon Center. On the way you spot an interesting looking trainer talking with his Pokemon. Not that any words were coming out of his mouth.]

Hello. Giving your Pokemon a pep talk?

Otogi turns, and without missing a beat waves a hand in a 'so-so' motion before grabbing his transceiver.

Sort of, he types, holding it to display the text and repeat with a computerized voice. We just finished battling Lenora. Audino was a little too reckless though, he adds, dry expression clearly showing what he thought of that.

Audino quite angrily huffs, muttering curses under his breath in response.

[>You start to peer in to see the text when the computerized voice takes you off guard. You whistle in surprise.]

Wow, that's nifty! Hm, the Gym huh? Does that mean you have two badges already? I'm thinking of taking it on at the end of the week. Any tips?

[>You seem to disregard the last statement entirely]

Thanks. Sorry for the shock- I can't speak myself. Bit of a smile at that.

And ah, gyms... That's right- the most I can say so far is that it never hurts to train. Train as much as possible until you feel absolutely confident about challenging the gym. If there are even any doubts, it probably isn't a good idea.

Ah, well. Everyone's got their problems.

Sort of. Strategy is important too. For example- ghost type moves won't have any effect on Lenora's pokemon, but fighting type attacks will be very effective in contrast.

[>You grin. See you're kind of a funny guy. But you put on a thinking cap as well. Not literally. No you don't even have one in your bag don't even check there.]

Hmmm... Fighting-type...?

[>At this moment, your Throh, Ara Mitama, decides to introduce himself out of his ball with a macho looking pose.]

Ah! If I remember correctly, you're a fighting-type too, huh?

[>Ara Mitama grunts and flexes, still having that constant scowl as he turns to you. I guess that was a yes.]

Nah, I only got him recently so we'll have to work on our teamwork and how he fights first.

M-hm! He nods. Right! Good thinking. There's an area outside the Pinwheel forest- just past the city limits that would be good for training. It's where I went myself.

So it's called Pinwheel Forest, huh? That's where I met this guy.

Just got back from over there really.

That makes sense. I don't think I've seen them anywhere else. In any case, continuing training in that area is best... It's not recommended to enter the forest itself until you can take on the gym anyway.
