[ ...a sudden burst of static reveals a stray receiver to be laying on its side beneath the claw of a wild Pidgey. Hoping off, a triumphant quoo is spat almost mockingly at a trainer that's clad largely in black. It beats its wings as it prepares to take off, but it's interrupted by the attack of a Purrloin. It's then that finally the trainer steps into view. Sebastian retrieves his receiver with a sigh, taking out a handkerchief to clean it up as the battle rages on off screen. ]

I want to apologize for the interruption. It appears that the hostiles occupying the tall grass here have a penchant for shiny objects...

[ He trails off as his focus returns to the battle at hand. ]

Bel, dodge to the right... now! and jump! Scratch attack.

[ But now it's Sebastian's turn to dodge. He leaps back to avoid being caught up in the wild Pidgey's sand attack. He compliments her actions and her precision as he calls her back to his side, a pokéball thrown out to capture the Pidgey and end the battle. He stoops down to let Bel climb up his arm and reclaim her perch on his shoulder as he collects the pokéball. ]

I recently just arrived here. Is there anybody that can tell me where exactly here is...?

[ He hadn't much luck earlier. But between then and now he'd had plenty of time to read everything he could on the Pokédex. ] Mm, perhaps, ...I did have some help. [ Exchanges a glance with Bel. ]

You are in the region of Unova, separated from your home world with dubious means of return. Though really, this should have been explained to you upon entry.

[ Smirks. He knows better. Losing his cool would be of no benefit... ] Hn. Interesting. [ His smirk broadens. ] ...and to whom do I owe my thanks for this information?

Apollo. Pleased to make your acquaintance, sir...?

Sebastian Michaelis, [ Bows his head politely. ] Head Butler of the Phantomhive Estate, ...and the pleasure, Mister Apollo, is all mine.

[ From his shoulder comes an annoyed meow, and he turns to find Bel glaring at him. ] And this here is Bel, my Purrloin. [ Contented, she puffs out her chest and grins. ]

[There's a quiet growl at the meow, but it's quickly soothed back into silence.]

Truly a man of class, then. A refreshing sight.

[ Bel's ears twitch as she hears the growl, her fur bristling as she cracks an eye open to look for the source. ]

I do not deserve your praise, but thank you. Even in my Master's absence I must keep up appearance.

I understand completely. Well then, Sebastian, I wish you luck during your stay here.

[An eye must be kept on this one. He's skilled; and loyalties cannot be tested upon first impressions.]

Homura watched the battle on her XTransceiver from the top of Driftveil Lighthouse, though not really visible through her camera, the viewer would notice she was on somewhat higher ground.

She made no comment until Sebastian asked his first question.

"You are in a region, similar to a country, known as Unova. You may also be in a world different from yours if creatures like the one you've just battled are not commonplace to you," Homura explained blankly.

[ No. It certainly wasn't commonplace back "home". But the situation, he felt, mirrored his own... as his Master often treated him similarly. ] I see. I appreciate the information, Miss...

"Akemi Homura," Homura greeted, introducing herself, doing a small curtsy of sorts. "And you are?"

Sebastian Michaelis, Miss Homura, and it's a pleasure. [ Bows his head politely in response. ] I had spoken to somebody earlier that briefly mentioned that there's a way to get home... do you know anything about this?

"...Sebastian then," Homura nodded in acknowledgement.

"There are 2 methods that have been suggested for return," Homura responded, "The first is to win all the Gym Badges as a Pokemon Trainer, the second is to win all the Contest Ribbons as a Pokemon Breeder. You cannot mix and match the two apparently," Homura elaborated, standing up.

"Winning Gym Badges is done through battling and winning a Pokemon battle against a Gym Leader, a highly accomplished Trainer who runs a facility known as a Gym, much like your battle with the Pidgey you just captured. For Breeding... I'm not too knowledgeable about it," Homura explained.

[ Hm. It seemed simple enough. It was either battle gyms for badges or win contests for ribbons. He would have to find out more about each and decide then what he'd prefer. ]

I need to train then, and find a way to capture more of these creatures. I doubt I would have much luck going against these Leaders with these two. [ ...and that warrants a small hiss from Bel. She thinks she's plenty strong. ~~Especially after that battle with Pidgey.~~ ] I suppose I should find my way to Town and pick up a few supplies, ...

Thank you, Miss Homura. You have been a real help.

"Mm, most notably when a wild Pokemon is weak, they can be easily obtained with Pokeballs. There are Pokeballs with increasing power as well for those that cannot be simply contained at low stamina," Homura remarked, casually brushing back her hair.

"You are very welcome, Sebastian. I feel as though this might be one of the times people might actually listen to what I have to say," Homura commented offhand, in a somewhat depressing monotone. Not sarcasm, but the legitimate truth.

[ Nods and takes a look down at the pokéball containing the
pokémon he had just captured. ] Mm, that makes sense. [
He puts it away. ] ...and battling helps to weaken the stronger
ones which allows them to be captured, yes, ..?

[ He wafts a brow. ] Hn, a bit odd... isn't it. I think
that you have been a great help.

"Correct. And you're welcome." Homura replied, nodding formally. Like a quarter-bow of sorts.

...Wow, you're kinda good for a newcomer!
[Teenage girls, man.]
But this is Unova, you're stuck here - if you need any help, I've lived in a pretty similar place for all my life!

[ He chuckles. ] I can't take all the credit, [
Motions to the Purrloin sitting on his shoulder. ] I had a bit
of help. Unova, yes, ...a few people mentioned that. I would
appreciate the help. I have been told that I need to collect badges or
ribbons to return home.
