Video/Action On Route 1 | Estellise's Troubles

*CLICK*

The first thing one comes to notice about this video is the rushing by of tree-filled scenery and that the camera is clearly not being held tightly, or perhaps someone or something is flailing it around by the strap.

"BARK BARK WOOF WOOF ARF!" were the series of sounds that started filling the feed at an obnoxiously loud volume. The camera holder had stopped, only to quickly turn around.

"Ah! Please return that! I don't think I can communicate with anyone without it! Pleaaaaase!" the cries of the young pink-haired girl, namely Estelle, which the camera was now facing pierced through the feed. She was awkwardly carrying the XTransceiver manual in one hand

"Rrrrruff!" the cameraholder growled, starting to charge Estelle at full speed, indicated by the camera moving ridiculously closer to Estelle by the second.

A loud *THUMP* could be heard as Estelle had most likely hit the ground.

"Kyaaaa! Ah! No! Stop that! Ehehehe~ That tickles~!" Estelle's voice filled the feed, as the XTransceiver seemed to have been dropped, focusing on a Lillipup licking Estelle's face jovially.

"Auuu... diiii!" An Audino broke out of a ball out of Estelle's side and the two tried settling the Lillipup down.

"Hm? Oh my! Is this on? Oh dear.... Kyaaaa! Stop it! Heeheehee~!" Estelle whined, the Lillipup shown licking her face again.

"S-somebody h-help! O-oh dear, that tickles! Ehehe~!"

Well it didn't look like she figured out how to turn the recording function off.

Thomas fumbled frantically with the buttons on the Xtransceiver, still not terribly familiar with how to work them. But he worked at it diligently, for, after all, there was a distressed lady on the screen! His inbred chivalry was stirring him to react. Finally, and perhaps too early to stop his mumbled curses of frustration from being recorded, he managed to connect to the feed.

"Oh, miss! Miss, are you all right?" he said, leaning side to side as though that would help him get a better view of what was going on. What he saw was confusing -- it looked like one of those little dog-like Pokemon was... attacking her? But was that laughing he heard? No -- he clearly heard a cry for help in there somewhere. "Miss?"

Thomas blinked when the Audino picked up the Xtransceiver. He narrowed his eyes and tilted the screen back, trying to see better. So much commotion! But as he listened more he realized that the lady didn't actually sound very distressed. And the Lillipup, from what he could see, was just acting like an excited puppy.

He frowned when Estelle asked the question and cleared his throat in mild disapproval. "Well, really, I don't know. It's a Pokemon, for all it looks like a dog. Have yours attack it! That's what they do best." He looked at the Audino. "Go on, protect your mistress!"

Thomas chuckled, amused at having this tiny window into what was going on. He had battled several Pokemon as he made his way down Route 1, and caught a Lillipup himself just recently. He found the whole process rather exciting.

"Oh, yes, I should think so," he agreed, squinting at the tiny, somewhat pixelated image of the Lillipup. "It looks like you've got it subdued, anyway."

"It's Sinclair. Thomas Sinclair." He leaned back, removing his baseball cap (which still looked very out of place and somewhat ridiculous, probably because all of his other clothing was Victorian.) He performed a little bow as well as he could with the Xtransceiver on his wrist like it was, and smiled warmly, appreciating the formality with which Estelle introduced herself.

"The pleasure is all mine, Miss Heurassein," he said courteously. Having a French mother and speaking only French for small periods of his childhood meant that he was well-trained in the art of pronouncing awkward names. He didn't quite think Estelle was French, though; nothing about her seemed that way. Some other nationality, then. But she was well-dressed and good-mannered, which, to Thomas's understanding, meant she was of a high status or wealthy. He subconciously slid into oh-look-it's-a-high-status-wealthy-lady mode.

"Congratulations on catching that Pokemon; you did very well under the circumstances." He grinned. "I believe that, since you are using this network, you must be an outsider, not from this world? I hope you are adjusting well?"

"Monsters? I take it you are not from, um... Earth, then? Where I am from there are no 'monsters'. I met a knight from a place called Pop Star earlier, so I suppose it is not so strange." He looked carefully at Estelle, but she seemed completely human. At least, there was nothing obvious like Sir Meta Knight's glowing yellow eyes.

"Oh, yes, I met Professor Juniper as well. A... charming woman." He'd found her very strange. A female scientist? So odd. "I'm afraid I'm not sure where Nacrene City is, but I hope your journey there is pleasant." He smiled, amused by all Estelle's giggling and her general manner. She reminded him quite a bit of most of the young ladies he knew back home, in Victorian England.

He didn't know what or who 'Repede' was, so he merely smiled blandly. "I'm afraid I'm simply awful at naming the things," he said. "But I'm sure whatever you come up with will be perfect."

Thomas smiled awkwardly at the sudden end to the conversation. "Oh? Oh, yes, not a problem at all, Miss Heurassein. It was the utmost pleasure making your acquaintance." He tipped his hat, a well-practiced motion. "I hope we can speak with one another again very soon, and preferably in person! I will be in Accumula Town for the next few days at least, perhaps we will run into each other?" He smiled. "That would be splendid."
