[Action] Third Clue - Trio Badge

Naoto walked out of the Striaton City gym with his Kirlia and Mightyena trailing behind. He seemed satisfied, perhaps because he had just won himself his first badge.

He had been told by the police that he would need to prove himself as a trainer before he could assist with the investigation of the events surrounding the Entralink. It was an odd stipulation, but being the workaholic that he was, Naoto had quickly applied himself to training hard with his Pokemon.

"It may be time consuming, but progress is being made." The Kirlia nodded solemnly, while the Mightyena merely yawned and began scratching herself with her foot.

((A bit late thanks to school picking up pace, but we can all just pretend this was posted a few days earlier >_>))

Otogi is standing outside the gym at the moment- he's got his chalkboard handy, and so his greeting is likely more easily understood.

"Thank you," Naoto replies with a small smile.

"Will you be challenging the gym soon?" Otogi's Pokemon seem plenty strong enough by now.

We will! I think we'll challenge Chili- Golett is Ground type, so it's not as good an idea to face grass or water I think.

"A good choice," Naoto agrees. "I am confident that you will succeed."

Right- I'll see you later then!

"It's all yours!" Naoto waves encouragingly. He decides to wait for Otogi's challenge results and hang around the front of the gym for a bit longer.

Homura was about to head to the Gym herself.

She blinked as she spotted Naoto.

"Oh, good afternoon," Homura greeted, bowing formally.

"H-Hello, Homura-san," Naoto replied, seeming a bit taken off guard. It may have been wishful thinking, but she had been hoping that she would be able to avoid the girl after their first encounter in the dream world...

"Mm, it seems you've gained your first badge. How was it?" Homura inquired, curious for maybe some tips on how she should face the Gym Leaders.

She was quite considerate by being apathetic sometimes.

Naoto made an effort to seem more cool and collected, perhaps overdoing it a bit and seeming too nonchalant.

"It was rather different from the battles I had previously fought with wild Pokemon. Cress's Pokemon were the strongest I had encountered so far, though Watson's magical leaf was very useful in taking them down." The Kirlia nodded, satisfied.

"Hmmm, I see. Quite a challenge then," Homura concluded, before nodding to Naoto.

"Perhaps I'll just have to give it my all, then?" the puella magi shrugged, smiling wryly at Naoto.

[After having gotten her own badge, Paprika's just sort of puttering around Striaton when she spots Naoto.]

Naoto! Hey, Naoto, over here!

[Naoto glances up when called. He walks over to where Paprika is, wondering what the girl could want from him.]

Ah, Hello, Ms. Paprika...

[Paprika smiles and points to Naoto's badge by way of explanation.]

You got your badge thingy, too?

[Naoto nods with a tiny smile.]

Yes. It was quite different from battling wild Pokemon. [A battle of wits against another trainer was another thing entirely and rather fun, though he wouldn't admit it.]
