First Meal - Video - Action for Route 1

[It's time for Cilan! He's turned on his video feed, Route 1 behind him - and a small, shy smile on his face.]
Ah-- is it working, Pansage? [A hand waves from behind the Xtransiever - a bit of yellow hitting the screen.] Good. I didn't have one before...
Anyway, hello! My name is Cilan - but, you might know that. [Sheepishly, he continued.] I'm another newcomer? This is c-confusing. [Note how he's touching his chest - his heart. Death is confusing guys.]
But, I should go onwards - this world is waiting for us, right Pansage? I wonder how long we'll spend training...
[At the end of the feed, he turns - there's a wild Pokemon! Just before the feed turns off, Pansage comes on screen - and it has scars over one eye. Hm.]

[Evidently, your appearance has given him quite the shock.]

CI-CILA- HEHHH! But I just beat you and the others at the Striaton Gym..!!

[...That's impossible. But Cilan is still kinda confused, alternate worlds. :(]

Errr... Well, you look the same...

[But but but-] What happened to Pansage though..?? He didn't have that scar before..!!

Huh? He's always had that scar...
[Well, since they were both young.]

Then why wasn't it...

[There's barking from the side, and the camera turns to Yuuma's zorua, who mimics this world's pansage.]

Ah- See? The one we fought looked like that..!!

Like a clean one...
[He just smiles a bit.]
Perhaps you're m-mistaken?
[Or perhaps he was replaced post-death.]

[He's very insistently shaking his head.]

Definitely not... I even have the badge now, see? [And he holds out his trio badge...]

[Yes, the badge looks exactly the same. Cilan just sighs - he must have been replaced, by some sort of... replacement. That's what would happen to a traitor, after all. If that were the case, Pansage would have been replaced as well.]
Ah, well, I'm sorry - I must have gotten hit on the head when I arrived in the Entralink. [A small chuckle.]

Eh? The entralink..?

[He appears to pause, turning to something off screen to listen to something that can't be heard. Abruptly however, he looks back.] Hey..!! Maybe... Maybe you're a 'different' Cilan..! A second one! You came through the entralink like the others right? Just waking up there?

A different Cilan...? [He asked, now curious.] B-but, yes. I woke up in the Entralink - um, I was told I slept there, too.

Mmmmn... Then... I bet you're from a different version of this place..! Sheessh that's confusing...

I wonder what'll happen when you go through Striaton then...

"Riiiiiii!"

[Oh hey, suddenly Riolu behind you, Cilan. He looks slightly battered-after all, he's been fighting wild Pokemon ever since Subaru left Accumula Town (despite Subaru's protests-he really is a stubborn little guy). It appears he's been stalking this wild Pokemon himself.]

"Rocky! Wait up!" [That voice sounds like it's a bit farther away, but definitely a young voice.]

Y-yes, it is...
[It's confusing and worrying.]
When I go though? I don't know if I can [time for some lies!] - it might confuse people.

[Woah-- Cilan looked to the Pokemon.]
A Riolu? Y-you aren't native to Unova... [And then he heard the other trainer, and looked up.] Hello? Is this your Pokemon?

[Meanwhile, Pansage is approaching, holding his sword. He wants to fight.]

Then...

[He laughs a little nervously at that.] How are you going to get past Acumula if you won't go through Striaton..?

[N's still in his Pokemon Center bed when he sees the message (because, apparently, trying to walk after two weeks of not using your legs is a bit difficult), but he still regards Cilan with a good amount of intrigue. He'd just defeated the gym leader not too long ago, and now here was another version of him, just like Iris...

He's about to turn the Xtransceiver off there, but the Pansage's scars catch his attention again.]
... Hello again, Cilan. [He smiles tentatively.] I... don't suppose you remember me? [Iris didn't, after all.]

--N?!
[Oops. Cilan shouted that out without really realising it. But he was shocked! N hadn't left the castle yet - but there he is, in a Pokemon Center. Shaking his head, Cilan coughed a little. A mistake, a childish mistake.] Um, well, er... [The Pansage looked over, as well. N.] That a-answers your question...

Well, actually - I only came this w-way first so Pansage could train. Then, I plan on going to Nimbasa - my home town.

"Un, he is..." [And Subaru's panting as he's running up.] "He keeps running off to fight Pokemon, so I keep having to chase him all over the route instead of going straight to Nuvema, like I planned..."

[Meanwhile, Rocky's on the tips of his toes and bouncing on them. Despite fighting enough to possibly level up, he seems raring to go.]

[It looks like Yuuma was about to have a bout of fridge brilliance and agree with Cilan...

But looking off screen again for a moment, a sudden change in expression says otherwise, and he looks back.] Ah- But...

I thought they set up some places in Nimbasa so people could start off with that... And...

Will Pansage be able to get strong enough without going through everything else then..?? [Ahhhhh so confusing...]

[Startled, he reflexively draws away from his screen slightly, eyes wide.]
Yes, I... suppose it does. Is it really so surprising to see me? [Was it because Cilan expected him to be jailed for his crimes or something? He looks away in a sudden pang of guilt.]

...It is.
[Should he tell him? Shouldn't he? He might not even be the same man... Cilan couldn't help but hold his own frown. His Pansage, though, was also looking over N - with his own curiousity.]

Haha - some Pokemon are like that! They want to fight and fight...

How about we battle? [Cilan then suggested, smiling at Pansage.] It seems Pansage is level 5 again...

H-he'll grow strong - and the desert is full of Ground-types, if I remember properly... I think? This world might be different.

[Meanwhile, even though Rocky's at level 6, he's taken a bit of damage. Still...]

"Mmm, I've never had a battle with another trainer...is it the same as wild Pokemon battling?"

[And then the second part of Cilan's statement catches up with him.]

"Again? What do you mean he's at level 5 again? Pokemon can lose strength like that?" [Confused Subaru is confused, but admittedly curious.]
