There's a weight on his chest and something wet touching his face. Shizuo's eyes quickly snap open, only to find his Growlithe in the middle of another lick as his Petilil sits nearby observing. The Growlithe barks excitedly and jumps to the floor, tail wagging as his trainer sits up.

"Ugh... What the hell was that?" Shizuo grumbles, glancing blearily around. He had just had the craziest sequence of dreams. And now for some reason he's in a Pokemon Center. It doesn't seem like he's alone in just waking up, either.

"That's no good Shizuo-san! What if you get attacked by a wild Pokemon and your own Pokemon come out to defend you and they get one of these statuses! You'll have to know which medicine to use right away!" Estelle scolded, puffing her cheeks out as more smoke puffs maybe puffed out of her head. If this was an anime or something.

Shizuo frowned. Okay, she had a point, though he didn't like being scolded like a child.

"Like this?" He asked, pulling out a bottle of Potion from his pocket. ....Close enough.

"Ah! Well... that's to heal your Pokemon's health when they get tired, but it won't do anything for status conditions~" Estelle explained, laughing sheepishly before taking a couple of colored medicines out of her bag. Sprays colored orange, yellow, blue, green, and pink were laid out.

"These are the things you need to rely on when your pokemon are affected by status conditions, Shizuo-san~ Orange is for poison, yellow is for paralysis, blue for when they fall asleep involuntarily, green is for burns, and pink is for when they're frozen~" Estelle explained, pointing to each one carefully.

"Though they sell this gold colored one that heals all conditions anyway too~ You need to have enough badges to actually buy those though," Estelle remarked, laughing nervously again.

Shizuo scowled, putting away the Potion. This was too complicated. There was no way he was going to remember all of this junk!

"Why restrict the gold ones?" He demanded. If someone wanted to heal their Pokemon easily, then they should be able to do so. This world was crazy.

"Oh, because simply taking your Pokemon to the Pokemon Center works too I guess~" Estelle giggled, laughing away the fact she made that an afterthought.

Estelle. :|

...What.

"Why didn't you say so earlier?" Shizuo couldn't tell if she was messing with him, or just being stupid.

"Ah! Well, I thought if you couldn't get to a Pokemon Center before your Pokemon fainted from one of these conditions in the middle of battle then you would know about what treatments to use!" Estelle apologized, waving her arms frantically in distress.

Get a hold of yourself.

Oh. Well that made sense.

"Kay," Shizuo said, placated. He took out a packet of cigarettes and was about to pop one out when he realized the box was empty. And he shook it again just to make sure.

"..." He had totally forgotten about restocking. Did they even sell cigarettes in Unova? Shizuo had never seen anyone else smoking.

"Ahaha~" Estelle giggled nervously.

Silence as they both got out of the Trainer's school.

"Oh, um... t-there's cigarettes in the shop at the Pokemon C-center," Estelle suggested helpfully. "You can buy some and t-then we can head to Nacrene City!" Estelle suggested, a bit shaken from her earlier mess-up.

Sigh.

"Thanks," Shizuo muttered.

"...Why are you acting like that?" He had a feeling that Estelle was still scared of him, which made him a bit annoyed. But the reason people were scared of him was because he got annoyed. A vicious cycle.

"N-no problem! And it's nothing at all! Ahaha!" Estelle smiled nervously.

It would be a long day.
