[the_nth_power]

[This dream starts with a light-- a dim one that illuminates a long hallway. Black marble floors lead along walls adorned with banners of a certain crest. The hallway ends at a door, from beneath which a brighter electric light emanates.

Should you choose to open it or not, it seems to ease open automatically, revealing what lies inside. It's a child's room by all appearances, decorated with bright colors, with all sorts of toys strewn about. In the center sits N, idly pushing a toy train along a track and watching emotionlessly as it takes off on its own, moving along the track before returning to him. There are four Pokemon crowded around him-- a Zorua, a Darmanitan, and two Woobats-- all of which watch the train with some level of curiosity...

At least, until they realize someone has opened the door. The Zorua snarls in warning, and the other Pokemon quickly back off, fleeing as far away from the door as they can get. N himself looks up, startled--

And he's suddenly gone. In his place sits a much smaller young boy with the same pale green hair, and the same void cube hanging from a chain around his neck. He looks intrigued at first, his expression a fearful sort of hopeful.]

Fa-- Ghetsis--? [But that doesn't look like Ghetsis walking into his room. He hurriedly gets to his feet and backs away, ready to bolt... even if it's apparent he doesn't have many places here to run to. The boy clutches the toy train in his hands and watches with wide, wary eyes.]



((OoC: What am I doing skdjflsdjfkds.... Even if this is just a dream, N has regressed back into a child state. He's old enough here that he should be able to talk, but due to his lack of interaction with other humans, his speech is limited. Any comments will be replied to by lowercaseking ! ;u;))

N frowned. Was his name really peculiar? He followed Estelle with his eyes as she moved, giving a cry of alarm when she rushes toward one of the two Woobats, one with a slightly crippled wing and a scar across one tufted ear. It squeaked, startled, and instantly fled away from Estelle, fluttering toward N. N reached for it and held it against him.

Just as he was going to snarl and yell at Estelle for daring to approach the Woobat, he heard her chanting and then saw the glyph form. He backed away fearfully, clutching the Woobat closer. The other Pokemon stayed where they were, watching with wary fascination.

"Wh... What did you do?" N questioned nervously, unsure of what to make of what appeared to him to be some sort of Pokemon technique.

"T-they're injured right? I thought I could heal them... even if it's on the outside," Estelle sobbed, turning around. "They've really experienced a lot of pain, haven't they?"

He looked startled by her question, but nodded in answer. "Mm... More than I can say."

Despite Estelle's efforts, most of the Pokemon's apparent injuries don't seem to be effected-- they've already healed and scarred over. Still, the more recent injuries-- accidental gashes and scratches in their fur-- quickly disappear. N looks down at Woobat in fascination, then turns his gaze to his own arm. The bruises and scratches that littered his skin just a moment ago have also vanished.

"Why?" N asked, noting the peaceful reaction of the Woobat in his arms. "Why... did you do th-that?"

"It's normal to care for others when they're injured~" Estelle smiled brightly, facing N. "I can't just leave such a sight alone!"

He looked fascinated for a moment, but that expression was soon erased in favor of a disbelieving frown.

"Wr-wrong! Lie!" he barked, backing further away from her. "A human wouldn't do that!"

Just as he said that, though, the second Woobat, one hiding further back in the room, fluttered forward toward Estelle.

"Ah! N-no!" N yelped, then regressed into strange distressed squeaking sounds-- apparently aimed at the Woobat as it flew closer, fluttering in circles above Estelle's head.

"Eh? Even so they look a lot better, don't you think?" Estelle giggled, smiling brightly at N.

"Now, what were you doing before~?" The Woobat landed on Estelle's head, making itself comfortable and giving happy squeaks at N.

What it translated to, Estelle couldn't understand, but the Darmanitan seemed to be pondering something.

N gasped sharply at Woobat landed on Estelle's head, apparently expecting it to be injured by doing so. But it... just looked happy.

"See, N?" Woobat chirped. "Some humans are nice, like I said!"

N looked at the other Pokemon in his uncertainty. They still kept their distance and showed no signs of doing the same as the Woobat, but no longer looked nearly as frightened as before. The Darmanitan left its hiding place and, keeping a wary eye on Estelle, made its way over to N. N clung to its fur with one hand, still using his other arm to hold the second Woobat.

"Weird, that she would do that, huh?" Darmanitan mumbled. "Do you think...?"

N shook his head. "Mmh... M-my friends have only been h-hurt by humans! H-humans aren't supposed to do nn-nice things! A trick!" He paused, thinking. "Is it... Are you d-different because you're royalty too...?"

N was conversing with the other Pokemon, or so Estelle imagined. She didn't mind the Woobat in her hair. There were stranger things that happened in her life anyway.

"Eh? ...But, aren't you human too?" Estelle started, before catching his last inquiry. "Um... maybe? What do you think?" Estelle was slightly pondering if royalty had anything to do with it. Fascinating.

Randomly, her Audino appeared beside her, taking a imitating curtsy at N before speaking to everyone.

"Tanit?" Estelle blinked, wondering what on earth she might be saying.
