Attack of the Munna [video/action]

Takashi was walking along, trying to find out new information about this new world.  He was too shy to ask anyone for information, so it was just him and Meowth for the time being.  Something up ahead caught his attention - it looked like a pink blob floating in midair. His blood ran cold - so far he hadn't seen any spirits in this world, but it was probably just a matter of time. He slowly approached it, getting ready to run if something happened. The blob turned abruptly and faced him, blinking its large red eyes. "Munna?" It had the "look" of a Pokemon to it, so Takashi relaxed a little.

"A floating Pokemon? I didn't know they could do that.." He glanced over at his Meowth, who seemed like a pretty typical cat so far.  Who knew what he was hiding though?  He turned his attention back to the Munna and reached out to pat it.  Suddenly, it let out a loud cry and the bushes around him startled rustling. A sea of pink flooded his vision as an entire herd of the Pokemon burst out of the bushes and swarmed around him, clinging to him. He screamed and pushed them off, then turned tail and ran with the blobs hot in pursuit. "Help!"

One moment, Jade had been relaxing on a park bench with her Growlithe on her lap, and the next, there was a boy running by and looking very distressed, followed by a floating wall of pink.

Wait, what?

Becquerel caught on before she did and the Growlithe practically fell over his own feet trying to get onto the ground. With a call of, "Ah—hold on!" Jade was up and running after him, both of them in pursuit of the Munna swarm. "Bec, roar!" the girl cried and the Pokémon stopped himself long enough to let out the most ferocious sounding bark he could muster. It was enough for a good chunk of the Pokémon to disperse and for Jade to make her way around the thinned-out herd and towards the boy she'd seen running. "Hey! Hey, are you okay? Bec, bite 'em!" While Becquerel began lunging at the remaining pink blobs, fangs bared, his trainer was shoving through the swarm to the boy's side, prepared to fret over how he was doing.

Takashi leaned over to catch his breath, barely managing to get out a "Thank you." His lungs were burning but he was used to being chased, so it was nothing new for him. "Yes, I'm okay." He said, once he was a little more composed. He adjusted his clothes and smiled at his rescuer, though he was still worried about the pink blobs around them.

"Are you sure?" Jade checked. Idly, she reached into her backpack and flung a Pokéball towards the remaining few Pokémon, only instructing her Growlithe to roar at them once more to scare off the rest of the swarm after she saw the ball's red beam engulf the pink thing. "Yikes, how did you get them all to chase you like that?"

Takashi's eyes widened when he saw the trainer throw something at one of the pink blobs and then the pink blob being...absorbed into it. "W-what did you do to that Pokemon?" He ignored her question for the time being, since he was shocked by what he had just seen.

Hesitantly, Jade answered, "I caught it. Oh! Wait, are you new here?" The thought had come to her seconds after she'd answered his question. "I guess whoever gave you the rundown of this place forgot about some stuff, if you even got it. It's okay, though!" With a whistle, a gesture, and a call of "fetch!", Bec had run to his trainer and returned with the still Pokéball in his mouth, tail wagging. Taking it from him and praising the Pokémon, Jade explained, "Even if it looks scary, it's just how things happen!"

"Do they like being put in that?" Takashi said curiously, eyeing the Pokeball. He was glad that it wasn't hurt, at least. He had never seen anything like that. An animal being caught in a capsule. He tilted his head. "How does it fit?"

Jade paused and glanced down at the ball in her hands. "I don't know! My Pokémon are usually really happy, though, so it can't be too bad in there." At his next question, she was even more hesitant. "I don't...know? I never thought about asking! Maybe it would be worth looking into."

[natsumetakashi]

"Maybe!" Takashi agreed. The thought of trapping an animal in a little ball seemed...wrong to him though. He suddenly realized he hadn't introduced himself. "Oh, right. My name is Natsume Takashi, it's nice to meet you."

[overbite]

"I'm Jade Harley!" she replied, clapping her hands together and beaming. "It's nice to meet you, too, even if this wasn't exactly the best way to do it, hehehe." Silently, she hoped that she would be able to pronounce his name the same way twice.

[natsumetakashi]

"That's true. I really don't know what made them do that." Takashi laughed sheepishly. "Uh, do they do that often around here...?" He was worried that avoiding giant Pokemon herds was going to become a daily thing for him.

[overbite]

"I don't think so! I actually have never seen any Pokémon behave like that," she hummed. "But you aren't supposed to run from them! You're supposed to fight back with your Pokémon." She paused. "You do have a Pokémon of your own, right?"
