Intro [actionvideo]
[After appearing somewhat suddenly in a strange verdant area, a young woman completely cloaked in a black costume instantly looks around with as minimal head movement as possible. Seeing a small piece of structure near a group of trees, she dashes toward it and stares into the trees to ensure there was no unseen enemy. She lets out a sigh, and happens to glance down to her feet, where a strange purple creature looks back up at her with strange gem-like eyes. How could she not have heard it? It wasn't like any animal she had seen before, but she was fairly certain it meant her no harm. It stood, slightly shaking at her feet and seemed harmless. Strange...]
[She feels around, her costume was intact, her belt was there... though most of her tools were gone, and in two pouches, previous objects seemed to be replaced with a small red and white sphere, as well as... a handheld computer of some kind. She grasps the device; and checks the object over. Figuring out how to turn it on, she manages to figure out most of the features due to the handy icons which had appeared on the screen. Hmm, a video feed option, it's a risk, but it may be my best option.]
[A head and face, clad in black and nearly featureless aside from barely visible stitched outlines where eyes and mouth would be; appears on the screen, almost unmoving aside from some indication that the figure is speaking. With a strong but moderate voice she cleanly states...]

And Zorua's trick in this post is pretty much why Illusion is the best ability ever.
Well when he caught a glimpse of it due to the recently named 'Kuribolt's shenanigans ('Go play with that... Pidgey over there..!'), he just about had a heart attack.
"HAH- BL-BLA-" ...Wait. Not 'Black Mist', ahhh...
Astral appears to react accordingly- by staring as though he is not at all affected by this. "...Do you know this person?"
"OF COURSE NOT!" Stop talking to thin air Yuuma! ...Oh speaking of talking...
He looks back to the screen, resuming conversation as though nothing happened. "Ehh... Most of the creatures here are called 'Pokemon'; I don't know what that one is, bu-"
"Zo! Zo!" Zorua certainly does. And with a quick shift- "Saaaaaaableyeeeeeee..." ...Mimicks the sounds it makes.
"...Ehhh...?"
"Interesting. She is able to mimck other pokemon sounds, but not human voices."
Re: And Zorua's trick in this post is pretty much why Illusion is the best ability ever. [video]
"Pokemon"... The creature there near you is one as well? It seems to have... an interesting talent.
[She looks down at the Sableye, it still erratically twitching every so often]
Do these creatures all have such abilities?
-cough- Robin'd be the show Astral watches late at night by the way. :'D
"...Why are you wearing a mask..?" Hihhhhhh it's creeping him out...!!
"Ah- Is she perhaps... Like ESPer Robin..!?"
He's going to ignore that.
Re: -cough- Robin'd be the show Astral watches late at night by the way. :'D [video]
The mask, as well as the emblem on my chest is a symbol. I also wear the mask to protect myself and others...
Astral is now uncomfortably close to that screen. "...Yuma." Oh boy. "Yuma. ...Does. She also have a 'haction', as you called it."
"DEFINITELY NOT..!" Uh. Again, continuing as though nothing happened. And actually addressing the screen. "Ah... But why would you be wearing that now..?" Yuma don't ask silly questions.
Re: [Video]
Not really a super hero, but I do patrol and help a city in need. I don't have any special abilities like these Pokemon.
I am still wearing it now because, I still don't understand everything about this place. It's better... for now.
"Correct- I believe another of your 'hactions' has-"
Turning back to Astral... "TV isn't real..!!" Phew...
Right. Well. "Ah- So then when you know more... You won't wear the costume any more?" It's kinda creepy.
Also Kuribolt is back, so there's now a Zorua peering over Yuma's shoulder again.
Re: [Video]
Well, some of us don't have meta-human abilities, but there still needs to be a power, a personal power... to be a hero.
[Though the boy could likely not see it clearly, the girl smiles as the Zorua peers over the boy's shoulder.]
I will wear my costume for as long as I think I will need to. While it's designed to help promote fear; you have nothing to be afraid of. I am still new to this world, but if you ever need anything in the future, I will do my best.
I assume you have just arrived here, then? So perhaps you are in the Entralink. And that "creature" is a Pokemon-- a Sableye. Have you not seen them before, where you're from?
Re: [Video]
Thank you for your assistance... [she pauses]
"Sableye" hmm...
[As she looked down, almost in disbelief for what must have been the fifth or sixth time, the Sableye looked up at her and opened it's mouth in something resembling a smile, revealing many pointed teeth. It still didn't seem to mean her any harm though...]
If you could explain; this "Entralink" I am in, how do I leave? And why is this, "Pokemon" so... friendly? I have never seen anything like it where I am from.
As for how you leave the Entralink... I believe you take the teleport pads. They will take you outside. As for how you leave here altogether, however-- go home... [His smile becomes sympathetic.] You cannot.
Re: [Video]
A... partner?
[It had been a while since she worked with a partner. Tim had provided useful insight into how Batman was effective in what he did, as well as provide his own unique... experiences as a partner while on patrol. But of course, she thought to Stephanie, and was saddened that she didn't get to patrol as often with her. This small creature, vaguely reminded her of Stephanie in costume; but also reminded her of herself in some ways.]
Partner... I understand. As long as it is teamed up with me, I will treat it with respect.
Thank you for your help, I will look into leaving. From what I have gathered, I did not expect returning home would be easy, but I will move on from here, and find out why I am here.
[Batman and Robin will hopefully be alright in the city alone, I must have been brought here for some purpose...]
If you require my help in the future, you may contact me. Most of my equipment is gone, but I will do what I can to establish myself. What is your name, or what can I call you?
My name is N. Batgirl, was it? Thank you for the offer-- I'll offer you the same. I don't have any such "equipment", but I can answer any concerns you have about Pokemon.
[He pauses, but his curiosity gets the best of him.]
Tell me, though... Why do you conceal your face?
Re: [Video]
"En"... understood. I may need your help with Pokemon in the future, thank you.
[She cannot grasp expressions as well as she can overall body movements though, so she is unable to tell the true nature of N's question, she figures there is no immediate danger in explaining herself though.]
What I wear, is a symbol, used to scare those who would do wrong. Where I am from, it also helps protects me, and those close to me. I know here is... different; but until I am sure where I stand here, and where others stand, I feel it is best that who I am stay hidden.
Like a guardian? [He pauses, nodding thoughtfully.] I see. There were people I once knew that did the same.
[And he decides to press a little further.]
Is it dangerous-- your universe? This place is not free of danger, of course, but what I have heard of others concerns me, to say the least.
Re: [Video]
A guardian? Yes... that's true in a way. My universe is indeed a dangerous place, but some places are more dangerous than others, including most of the places I have lived. Crime, and evil, it's everywhere. We have many... guardians though. And many have abilities to help them.
[she pauses and thinks for a moment of her friends, Tim, Stephanie, Conner... and others who work to protect those who are unable to protect themselves.]
It's dangerous, but there is still hope. And people with good ideals.
[She takes another pause, unsure if it would be appropriate to ask her next question]
Tell me... what sort of dangers should I expect of this world?
It seems there is evil everywhere, but there is also good. It is good to know there are many to combat that evil in your world.
[He falls silent for a moment, thinking.]
This is a world of Pokemon. There are countless, each powerful in its own way and possessing a wide range of abilities. Pokemon are my friends, but there are those that do not see them in the same way I do. Some abuse Pokemon, and misuse their power for selfish gains. [When your enemy's weapon of choice was not a knife, but a berserk three-headed dragon for example... that could be a bit more dangerous.]
In my time here, I have also encountered dangers posed by manipulators. [He scowls. He's... getting really sick of being betrayed.] I would simply advise being cautious. And training your Pokemon. Disputes are often settled through battles here-- protect your Pokemon, and they will protect you.
[He stops abruptly there, realizing that was probably a lot to digest, especially considering the fast way he speaks.]
Re: [Video]
M..manipulations?... yes, I understand, that probably happens everywhere... But, these creatures battle each other to solve people's disputes? I believe I may need... [she pauses, focusing on what she wants to say] I think I may need clarification.
The practice of Pokemon battling is common here-- Once you step onto the routes, I'm sure you'll come across many trainers that will wish to battle with you. I... once thought it to be barbaric, but that is most often not the case. Battling is a means by which Pokemon and trainers can come to understand each other. [He sighs lightly.] It is not a fight to the death-- never a fight to the death. When they are defeated in battle, Pokemon faint. [He feels he has to stress that fact after seeing how Thomas handled battling.]
Were I in a location closer to yours, I would offer a demonstration... [He pauses, thinking of how he'd be able to do the same from here in Nimbasa.]
Re: [Video]
That is all interesting, and very helpful. Perhaps you can demonstrate at some point in the future after I leave this place. I will be sure to try and help this "Sableye" until then... even if still don't fully understand your world. Actually... [She holds up the pokeball to the screen]
This was on my possession when I appeared here. Can you tell me what it is?
He looks off-screen.] Zoroark? Come here. [In a moment, Zoroark is in the shot, briefly licking N's face in greeting before peering curiously into the Xtransceiver.] Here, friend. For just a moment. [He holds up the Pokeball, and, after a nod, Zoroark disappears into the device. N holds the Pokeball up for a moment, then gives it a toss. Zoroark reappears beside him in a flash of light.] See?
Re: [Video]
That is... amazing. If one of these creatures were to get tired or hurt in the battles, this would help move them more safely? And do they- [She pauses as her guard and vocal presence drop slightly further in mild embarrassment] I am sorry, so many questions.
N offers Cassandra a reassuring smile.] No, it's okay. Of course being sent here from such a radically different world would garner a decent amount of questions. This place is not exactly the same as my own, but it is very similar. Here, it is my duty to not only protect the Pokemon, but also to educate when I can. [It gave him a sense of purpose.]
Re: [Video]
You're very noble. Though I understand it often seems better....and easier... I hope that you do not perform your duty to protect alone at all times. [She speaks with conviction, and a hint of concern; knowing what can happen to those who try and take on such a large mission on their own.]
Ah, well... [He looks aside in thought.] I have friends that I trust would help me in my cause if I wished for it. But they are from worlds very different from this one-- there are several that I doubt understand my cause, and I am trying to teach the others.
I have been working to protect Pokemon for a long time mostly by myself. Other people can't hear them like I can. [He tilts his head.] Does it truly matter?
Re: [Video]
[She pauses, and reflects for a good ten seconds before continuing]
But... just because someone doesn't understand your words, or your cause, or cannot communicate like you do.... does not always mean they should be pushed away.
[What she was speaking spoke both of what she had experienced, and what she knew and feared could have been experienced has things happened differently. Although this N could clearly speak properly with other people, she still sensed that he was someone who was not fully understood at times. She feared being rude, or saying things he had likely already heard; but the parallels she drew drove her to struggle to find words to express her concerns, however projected as they may be.]
I don't work with others much, but I think it is often a good thing. That is all...
