003 ☄ [video/action for Nimbasa]
[The video starts up in a bit of a Cloverfield-esque fashion, the frame rattling and swerving erratically. It seems one of the Doctor's Pokemon has gotten a hold of his Xtransceiver, judging by the soft babbling sounds and the way the screen tilts at random. However, the actual video itself doesn't seem very random; the focus is definitely on the Doctor... an uncharacteristically glum-looking Doctor, in fact. He's at Nimbasa's amusement park, as the colorful background and lights indicate, but instead of enjoying the sights, he's... sitting on a bench, watching everyone else with a very sullen, almost forlorn, look on his face.
The holder of the Xtransceiver calls out-- something like "chiko, chikorii"-- and the Doctor looks up. After a moment of silence, he chuckles lightly and offers a smile.]
Ah, c'mere. [The holder babbles happily and waddles over to her trainer's lap. She's a Chikorita, as the Xtransceiver shows in the next moment, when the Doctor takes the device from her.]
Sorry 'bout that. Newbies. [He pats the Chikorita's head with one hand and uses the other to comb through his hair. He sighs heavily and puts on a grin.] Well, might as well while I'm here... Newbies, yes! Got a pair of Grass-types now. They're rather fascinating-- this one's got vines-- prehensile vines! [Like Bulbasaur!] Bit like a Death Tree, that! Though, ah. Much less... bloodthirsty. And the other... [He readjusts the Xtransceiver to show a Roselia standing at his feet.] Look, she's got roses for hands! Isn't that brilliant?
Thought I'd call her Rose, but... That's too obvious, isn't it? Besides, she doesn't act quite like a Rose. More of a Susan. Ah, and the Chikorita-- I think that's what the 'dex called her-- I've been calling her Jenny. Those are good names, yeah? Susan and Jenny. [The Xtransceiver focuses on him again, just as the sullen frown returns. But it's gone in a second.]
Well! Just a bit of an update there! [He glances around.] Been in Nimbasa for a while... Very nice place, really, but... Might be about time to get a move on, yeah?
Though... Before I do, I have got to try out that brilliant ferris wheel they've got here! Turns out they don't let you on unless you've got a "partner". And Pokemon apparently don't count. How 'bout it, then? Anyone that's still around want to give it a go?

[Emmet's actually pretty nearby. He's now hanging outside the Gear Station - he's decided he needs more Joltik to help with his plan, so he needs to delay it a bitty bit. He would do it another way, but he does have two Pokemon deeply in love.
Of course, he's still got his same expression. Derpysmile. Not showing his emotions fully.]
The ferris wheel is very fun! And beautiful! Yup! I could ride it with you! Even if we are not partners.
[He can tell that this Doctor guy is sad, though. Maybe he can cheer him up. He has the time, and he doesn't hate any of these otherworlders. Just this world.]
Yeah, it definitely seems like it! [And he grins broadly at Emmet's offer. Hidden emotions or not, he's kind of in desperate need of more company-- distraction.]
Oh, that'd be absolutely brilliant! Molto bene! [Propping herself up on the Doctor's arm, Jenny peers suspiciously into the Xtransceiver. Who is this guy and what does he want with Dad. >:(
The Doctor just chuckles lightly and glances around, not bothering to push her away from the screen.] We're just over here in the amusement park-- first bench on the, ah... Left, yes! S'pose I could wait for you here, if that's alright.
[video] > > [action]
[...And off the video feed goes.
A few minutes later, however, Emmet approached the Doctor - a Mawile following him rather closely, curious. And also cautious.] I am here now.
[action]
So you are! Hullo again! Good to see you as... not an Emolga, ha--
Oh! [That's the sound of him seeing the Mawile.] Blimey, what a creature you are! [He keeps his distance upon seeing those rather threatening-looking jaws, as does Susan, but Jenny just waddles fearlessly forward to say hello.] Ah-- Careful, Jenny. Mind your manners, yeah?
Re: [action]
It is good to see you too. As a man. But it was fun back then.
[...Yeah, it was fun.]
Should we ride?
[action]
[But he digresses! Susan nudges uncertainly at his leg, so he returns her to her Pokeball as well.] Oh, yeah, of course! Allons-y! [Hands in his pockets, he turns and begins forward, toward the ferris wheel's entrance, which is thankfully fairly close by.]
[action]
Yeah, small things like that. He chuckled again, following the Doctor - and making sure all his Pokemon were in their Pokeballs. Except for the swarm of baby Joltik, that is. They have to stay hidden.]
[action]
He pushes the worry out of his mind, instead focusing on the ferris wheel. There doesn't seem to be anyone actually there to run the thing at the moment; seems mostly automatic, when he observed from afar. So he climbs right on in and moves to the edge of the car to give Emmet room.
The Doctor doesn't look unlike an excited child as he takes his seat, instantly peering out his window as the contraption starts to move.] Been a long time since I rode a ferris wheel! Too long. Feels like a lifetime ago. [Probably because it was, quite literally.
After a moment longer of staring out the window, he sits back and glances sidelong at Emmet.] Well, Emmet! You said this Unova is different from yours, a while back-- Have you still got a ferris wheel in yours?
[action]
Anyhow, at that question, he didn't even bother looking back from looking over the landscape, rather happy.]
Yup - it does! It is right here, too - so close to the gym! In fact, Nimbasa is a lot like here! Except it does not have that Battle Club or Game Corner...
Those are nice. But my world is still nicer. Yup. A lot of the cities are like home. Especially Anville. It has no differences.
[...But he had a motive for getting this man alone! Oh no!!!
No he's not planning violence.]
You mentioned something when you were a Xatu. That you were a lot like one as a person.
How?
[action]
[He's about to go into how odd it is that there are only those little differences-- probably relate it to seeing Pete's World, the parallel to his own universe, but he quickly stops himself, eyes wide.]
Ah...? Oh! Oh, I did say that, didn't I? [Was that a bad decision? He laughs shortly, then points his gaze out the window again. He sighs heavily and runs his fingers through his hair.] Well... You said something about how they see the past and future-- and I experienced that. Thing is... it wasn't exactly a new experience. Not for me. I see that... all the time, really! [He chuckles lightly. Such a quality drives you mad, as he once said himself.]
[action]
Suddenly, he turned to the Doctor, bright and cheery again, grinning with those sharkteeth.] Are you just like a Xatu? Or is it different?
[action]
[He grins a bit stronger at the second reaction, and looks a bit more confident.] Oh, well... Quite a bit different! I'm not a bird, for one-- no feathers or wings-- certainly not a beak either. I look like me-- like I do now. [But what about regeneration?] Er... sometimes. I mean, human-looking. Though, you know, humans actually look Time Lord-- not the other way around. [Oops, he's babbling and he just said he's not human. Way to go, Doc.]
[action]
Time Lord? What is that? [Is... is he not human? How curious!]
[action]
Ah-- Fair question. [Please don't feed me to your Mawile--] Well... basically... I'm a time traveler. A... not-human time traveler. Well. [He grins a little and taps a hand against his chest. One heart.] Used to be. This place is funny, you know-- Went and remapped my biology-- just to make me seem human! Without my permission! Can you believe that? Everything just up and changed!
... Well, 'cept the mental powers. [He moves his hand, prodding his temple with his index finger.] Kept those quite intact.
[action]
[Emmet is silent for a few moments.
And then, suddenly, he gives a childish, derpish grin.]
A time traveller! That is so amazing - I had no idea they existed! I know of Dialga and Celebi, but they are not humanlike! At all! Most legendaries are not...
[Emmet then paused, to think a little. He was with a non-human. A time traveller, even. He couldn't help but smile internally. How old could this man be? If he was not human, could he be older then him? Who knows? But he wanted to know more... with a giddy smile on his face, Emmet then started to talk. Without thinking, mostly.]
What sort of mental powers? It changed you? By how much? It is odd... it did not change my appearance, but it did take away some of me... but this is not about me, is it? It is about you. Yup, and I have never met anybody like you. Was it only time - did you only borrow power from Dialga, or did you borrow power from Palkia? Or Giratina? Did Dialga even exist where you came from? Or was there another?
[All the questions. He doesn't even realise he's mentioned he was changed, coming here. But he knows he has. How? His body has started to age and change, if only a tiny bit so far. He's not immortal anymore. Is it because he's not with Zekrom anymore? Or is it something else?]
[action]
Oh, blimey, well... I could read your mind right now, if I wanted to. Implant images-- memories-- into your head. [And destroy them, warp your mind; but he clearly isn't going to do that.] But I haven't a use for such a thing quite yet. The telepathy bit is useful for talking to the Pokemon, though. But... I can't say I've ever heard of a Celebi or a Dialga. So I definitely didn't borrow my powers from them, no-- That power is all Time Lord. [Technically, the time traveling power is his TARDIS', not his; still, the TARDIS was Time Lord-made.] We're a race-- Well. Used to be. Just me now-- the last one. [There's a bit of a somber smile before he continues on.]
As for how this place changed me, well... Used to have two hearts, now I've just got the one. And my TARDIS-- that's my time machine-- just disappeared when I showed up here. I've been looking for it, but it seems she hasn't decided to turn up just yet. [That's not a big problem, though. When the TARDIS reappears, he's pretty sure he'll have to go home. And home meant death, now.] Oh, and this body gets... er, tired-- quite easily. Been having to sleep a whole lot more. [He laughs a little; it seems very trivial now, but it was very alarming the first time he overexerted himself.]
Aaaaaand, I think that about covers it... Hold on. [He narrows his eyes, thinking.] Do you mean to say you aren't human either?
[action]
But then Emmet realised - he had said something about not being fully human, huh.] Whoops! You got me, yup!
[He then looked back out the window - suddenly sounding quite different. Calm? Yeah, calm. He knew if this man did come after him, he did have his protection. And maybe he wouldn't be as protest-y as that N.] Me and my big brother, Ingo - we were both human before. Well, Ingo is my twin. But we were both humans! We both became immortal, a very long time ago. When we founded this land, we became immortal alongside Zekrom and Reshiram - I sided with Zekrom, but he sided with Reshiram. Eventually, we stopped fighting - but now we live in our world, judging it! Yup!
[...]
...Yup. I've had to stay in my Unova, for all my life. With Ingo. I have never left it before.
[...]
...It is very scary. [Though, as he says this, his expression only changes the smallest bit. Really unnoticable to most.]
[action] I'm so sorry about my slow tags here. ;o; My voice for Doc was waning a bit.
Well, fancy that! I couldn't even tell!
[He quickly falls silent to listen, looking more and more intrigued as Emmet continues.] Reshiram and Zekrom... Those are the dragons you mentioned, yeah? Ohh, now that's interesting. Very interesting.
[But his smile gradually turns solemn. Funny, that Emmet has to remain trapped in his home while the Doctor can never return to his.] Oh, I bet it's scary. Always scary leaving home for the first time. And this place doesn't let people go so easily. Of course anyone would be scared. You'd be stupid not to be. [Not helping, Doc. He looks around the car briefly before looking back at Emmet.] But hey! You aren't alone, eh? Us... humany-wumany nonhumans oughtta stick together, yeah?
[action] sobbu. sorry for my own late, been busy-busy! :o
But... we can not stick together. Not yet! I have something to do! Yup! At the Battle Subway!
[action] No problemo!
Hold on-- I could go with you, you know. [He's starting to get... just a little worried.] What is it, then?
