(( OOC: This is a couple of days after the event! ))

[A blast of disco music is suddenly broadcast over the Xtransceiver. It plays for about ten seconds, then its volume is reduced and replaced by a voice:]

Hellooo, darlings! This is Miror B. broadcasting to you live on Outsider Radio. Fuhohoho! Oh-so-nifty an invention, this network of ours, isn't it? Well, I have a marvelous proposition for the lot of you! Oh, yes! Sit back and listen, boys and girls, because this affects you!

Like I said, I'm Miror B., and I'd like to extend a hand to all my fellow outsiders. How about that little welcome party the locals threw us in Accumula Town, hmm? And my friends in Nimbasa; why, I heard you had similar treatment! Oh-so-rude of those naughty Pokemon, wasn't it? But do not fear! I have the most elegant solution to all your problems! Yes, indeed, darlings, and here it is:

Join Team Miror B.! Be one of us and you'll soon be laughing in the face of whatever this world feels like throwing at you! Why, you can have all the Pokemon you could ever want!

Fuhoho! We're keeping the lines open all day, folks, so don't hesitate to call in. Until then, let the music play! [The disco music returns to its original volume.]

[Oh, this does not sit well with him. Not at all.

He struggles to keep his voice even and calm, but he's already seething. And the volume of that music isn't helping. He tries his best to be heard over it.] ... Miror B., was it? Tell me, what exactly do you mean by "all the Pokemon we could ever want"?

[Oh hey, that sounds like the guy from before!]
So you've got your own team and everything, huh? Heh, I think I like your style! The music's a nice touch.

Think I'd have a place in this little organization of yours? I mean... Geez, those crazy robot things were everywhere-- totally wrecked my day! Not to mention my nose... Yikes. [He speaks easily, but he's still a bit wary. Sounds like he'd get a lot out of this little deal; if the only condition was doing some recon, he'd jump at the opportunity to join.]

Oooh, if it isn't our first caller! [The music is turned down, and Miror laughs.] You've got it, my man; Miror B.! And I mean exactly what I said, darling! You interested? Why, it's as simple as anything. All you have to do is join!

Is that Demyx? Fuhohoho! [Miror turns down the music. He sounds genuinely pleased with Demyx's response: complimenting the music is going to go a long way.] Darling, you're already an honorary member. I'm oh-so-sorry about those nasty Pokemon; didn't know Nimbasa would be quite so dangerous. I do hope you're doing well besides that? Enjoying the city?

[He snarls.] I am not joining anything until I get a proper explanation. Where exactly are you getting these Pokemon? And giving them away to anyone who chooses to join you... It's foolish. [And sounds unsettlingly similar to what Team Plasma used to do.]

You do not sound like you are considering the Pokemon's feelings in this matter at all.

[On the other side of the Xtransceiver, Miror B. frowns. Resistance already? His voice becomes much less cheerful, with a slightly dangerous edge.] Now, darling, no need to get snappy. You sound like you know a thing or two, hmm? Not so much of an outsider as some of our friends? Surely you wouldn't want all those poor, lost people wandering about without Pokemon to back them up? I'm simply providing a service, darling. [He chuckles quietly.] But you need more incentive, is that it? Pokemon aren't your bag, darling? What is it, money? Power? We can get you that, too.

Tch. Simply giving away Pokemon will not help them-- they must learn how to gain their trust for themselves. Besides, everyone arriving here is provided with one Pokemon partner, correct? That is enough.

[There is a short, tense silence. He purposefully disregards the question.] I have never heard of this team of yours... What is it you are planning?

[Honorary member? He likes the sound of that!]
Heeey, it was no biggie! I'm kind of an expert at avoiding danger, y'know. [No. No, he isn't.] Me and Gigs just hightailed it outta there. [Not entirely unscathed, but... hey, he was still alive, right?]

And yeah! Heh, Nimbasa's pretty great! Good place to kick back and play some tunes-- I even got a little audience too. [He pouts, even if it's not visible on the screen.] Until those robot things showed up... But hey, at least it sounds like it doesn't happen a lot, right?

[Miror doesn't say anything for a little while. He hadn't planned on any of the outsiders being so disapproving. It isn't like he actually cares about providing assistance to them, but it was such a carefully constructed cover that getting holes punched in it annoys him. Plus, he's getting flashbacks to his previous failures, and that's just not cool. Going to have to dance carefully through this one.]

Well, it's oh-so-new, isn't it? I'm not surprised you haven't heard of it. [~~Miror B: Hipster~~] Come on, I don't want to give away the whole deal, now, do I? Where's the fun in that? You're gonna have to dance with me here, darling. What's your name, where you from?

Fantastic, darling. [He pauses for a few seconds as he wonders if it really doesn't happen a lot. Emmet said the Pokemon were guardians, protecting against the outsiders... they'd been run off without too much of a hassle, though. What was the likelihood they'd try again?] It's not supposed to ever happen, to be honest, but I don't think you should worry about it.

[Another brief pause.] So, Demyx. Let's get serious, hmm? Let me explain what I've got going on here.

There's no Pokemon where you're from, am I right? Then there's something you have to understand about the way the world works here: everything depends on Pokemon. If you control the Pokemon, you control the world. You follow, darling? It's oh-so-simple.

Now, I've got a plan, you see, but it requires a bit of muscle behind it. Hence the Team. I'll take good care of anyone who helps me out, if you catch my drift, and I think you could be oh-so-helpful. What do you say?

...You are recruiting? [Emmet... isn't near to Miror B.. No, he's off resting on Route 2, about to make his own post thing. He's pretty quiet as he talks, though.]

[Miror has to hold back an exasperated sigh at Emmet's question. Dealing with the Subway Boss is occasionally tiring, but his insight into Unova is clearly indispensible. He responds as consolingly as possible.] Yes, Emmet; oh-so-sorry to not run it by you first. The more the merrier, you know, darling. I'm afraid it's necessary either way. Now where have you gone off to? I wanted to ask you about this next town, Striaton.

[Miror's just hanging out in a tent off Route 2 himself, his Pokemon team outside. His Lombre has taken it upon himself to shape up the other three team members' dancing, so the broadcast music is serving conveniently as their background music.]

I am in the tall grass, training. [Or just chillaxing, really. He's not one to stick with the group, after all - he's one to make his own path. And he's not going to bring up how he's not sure getting more people this way is good, but... whatever.]
Striaton City... I like there. It is a nice city.

Oh. Well that's fine, then. [He pauses, thinking for a moment.] Striaton City is where the first gym is, yes? The one with three gymleaders? Sounds oh-so-crowded.

But, correct me if I'm wrong, darling -- Isn't there a trainer school in Striaton?

[He's still wary and unconvinced. ~~Oh please, Team Plasma's castle is more underground.~~ For a moment, he considers not revealing his identity, but... It's just a variable. And he's already growling in response.]

My name is N, and I am a resident of Unova. [That was still true, despite this particular Unova being different from his own.] Whatever it is you are planning, I suggest you bring it to an end.

[Oh, dear. Miror has to think about that for a minute. This is another person from Unova, like Emmet? But still clearly an outsider, because they are on the network. Having people familiar with the region on his side is incredibly useful, but this N doesn't seem too excited about joining. Normally Miror would have just shrugged it off, but, fresh from having his plans ruined by Michael back in Orre, he's hesitant to let it go.]

Oh-so-sorry, I'm afraid that's out of the question. But just cool your jets for a minute, darling! You're thinking about this all wrong. You may be from Unova, but, as my friend would say, this isn't your Unova, is it? Make it yours! Just be one of us and one day you'll have everything you could ever want!

[That apparently hits a chord. He snaps defensively in response.]
I don't want anything-- Unova is not mine to have! No, it is not anyone's to claim! [Cool his jets? N clearly doesn't know what that means.] The world is vast-- trying to rule it is impossible. Even if you succeed, the power will drive you mad. You'll end up destroying that which you think you control!

[He stops abruptly, and his tone calms.] "My" Unova or not, I have to protect it and its Pokemon from anyone who dares to threaten them. [A calculating pause. As his "friend would say"? That meant someone else from another Unova was here... Maybe he meant Iris? Or maybe someone else... Either way, the idea of this person having "friends"-- cohorts of any kind-- is worrying.] You are treating the Pokemon as tools-- things you can just hand out... It is unforgivable.

[Miror covers the microphone of the Xtransceiver with his hand and cursed. How dreadfully unfortunate! After quietly seething for a few seconds, he removes his hand. He continues to sound aloof and unconcerned.]

I'm sorry you feel that way, darling. I did try my best to help you out, you know -- But since you insist on standing in the way I'm afraid there's nothing I can do for you.

[His tone suddenly becomes angry, as if he can't keep up the facade any longer.] But don't think some super-annoying brat like you can do anything to stop me! In fact, I suggest you watch your back from now on, darling. Fuhohoho! Don't you dare think I'm gonna let this slide on by, oh no! 'Til next time, N!

[Abruptly, the feed is cut, and the disco music that had been playing in the background goes silent. In his tent off route 2, Miror B. clutches the Xtransceiver in his fingers for a few seconds then angrily throws it to the ground. Damnit! Why did one of the outsiders have to be some kind of hero? This is no good! It is messing up his rhythm entirely.]

[Demyx isn't a big fan of being serious, but he straightens upright a bit with a grin to show he's listening. This big grin is totally serious!

What Miror explains does make sense, considering what Demyx has seen so far of the Pokemon. They weren't unlike the Heartless and the lesser Nobodies-- strong elemental creatures that acted on instinct. But, unlike them, the Pokemon seemed to act on emotion as well. His Tympole seemed genuinely fond of him...]
Uhh... Okay... Yeah, that makes sense. So your plan's some kinda... get all the Pokemon on our side quick, right? Something like that?

[He gives a small, nervous chuckle and a shrug of his shoulders.] Well, dude... Using muscle isn't exactly something I'm cut out for... But hey, I'll help you out however I can! Sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

[Miror grins.] Well, in the simplest of terms, darling, yes; you've got it. I won't bore you with the details, but I can assure you that life here will be fabulous once I've got the wheels on this thing turning.

[He laughs at Demyx's statement about using muscle.] Oh, don't worry, I don't need muscle from you! Not yet, at least. All I need you to do is gather a bit of information for me, and keep me updated. First of all, I'd like to keep tabs on the other outsiders, so if you meet any let me know.

[He pauses a moment, thinking.] That should be good for now, but I'll keep you posted. Oh, how're you doing for Pokemon? Fuhoho, not just that Tympole still?

Now that I can do! Recon was totally my thing back home! You can count on me, boss! [Um, no, Demyx. No one can count on you.

At the question, he raises an eyebrow.] Uh, yeah...? What's wrong with that? [A pause; he scratches his head with a sigh.] I mean... the only other Pokemon things I've seen are totally crazy... Those robot Golett things punched me in the face, and there was this... uh, crocodile outside the city-- it tried to eat Arpeggio! [He huffs.] How'm I supposed to get 'em to join me? Even if I knew how, I'm not sure I'd even want to...

Yup! There's a trainer school - full of new trainers! Everybody needs to learn somewhere!

[Miror snickers, highly amused.] Well, a Tympole's just not very impressive, is it? [A brief pause. He doesn't know what a crocodile is but assumes Demyx means some Pokemon or another.] Who is Arpeggio? The Tympole?

Anyway, you're supposed to catch them in Pokeballs, darling. Just weaken a wild one with that little Tympole and chuck a 'ball at it. They might have Great Balls or Ultra Balls for sale in Nimbasa, those are better at capturing, you know; worth the investment. But I'll make it easier for you! You'll be in Nimbasa for another day or two, yes? [Not really a question.] I'll have a package sent to you at the Pokemon Center. Do keep an eye out for it.

(( OOC - The package will have two Pokeballs with Goletts in them, muahaha. ))

Oh, that just reeks of possibility, doesn't it? Fuhohoho! [He chuckles as he ponders how he'll best approach his time in Striaton.]

Say, you were a Subway Boss in your Unova, right? [Miror understands this to be a significant title, like the owner of a colosseum perhaps.] Will people in Striaton recognize you, do you think?

Nah, Arpeggio's my sitar. [And he almost lost her! That would've sucked big time, even if the Arpeggio he had now wasn't quite the same since showing up here...] I call the Tympole Gigs!

... Hmm. Riiiiight... [Sounds like work. But Miror has something to make it easier?] Uh, yeah, okay! I think I'll hang out here a while more... Did you know there's, like, this huge sandstorm happening right outside the city? I thought I'd wait for it to clear up and stuff before I leave. [Wait until he realizes it never clears up.]

((OoC: OOH GOODY.))

Your sitar? Well! Isn't that interesting. [A lackey with musical talent? That was incredibly exciting. Miror had always had to deal with rhythmless buffoons.] Oh-so-glad it wasn't eaten, then.

A sandstorm? Hm. [He ponders a minute.] Well, there is that desert between you and Castelia City. The weather's usually not ideal in deserts, is it? [Miror would know; he's spent an unhealthy amount of time sneaking around in Orre's deserts.] Just find out what the other outsiders' plans are and stick with them.

Yup! I was a Subway Boss. And I am sure they knew me in my world... but I have noticed something. [...] Nobody has stopped me on the streets. Nobody from here has given me an odd look. Is that odd to you?

Hm. That is a bit odd, I guess. [Miror doesn't pretend to understand how this alternate universe thing works. Maybe people only exist in their own worlds? He doesn't dwell on it; don't look a gift Ponyta in the mouth and all that.] Still, if they do start recognizing you, let me know, darling.

Oh, and Emmet; in Striaton we can be a bit less cautious than we were in Nuvema. You and I have nice little teams going now, after all, and there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Yup! I know - and you do the same!

I do not want to be too open, Miror B.. I have my own plans. [What's this? Emmet... has plans?] And for them, I do not want people to be scared of me. Nope!

...Oh? [Well that was kind of suspicious. Miror isn't sure he likes his underlings having their own plans.] What do you mean? ...I don't mind keeping you out of the limelight, Emmet -- there's always something to be said for working undercover. But don't leave me in the dark, darling! I'd love to hear about these plans of yours.

You are not involved. [Wow, Emmet is defensive about this.]
But I cannot ruin my reputation for it. Nope. It may get me barred from my Subway. [So, it involves the Battle Subway. Somehow. ~~inb4 ghost trains~~]

I see. [His tone is rather dark. No, he doesn't like this at all.] I am not involved. Mm-hmm. Right. Okay, darling, if you say so. Just... don't let whatever it is interfere with our plans, will you? I'm afraid I would have to be very involved if that were the case.

Yup, I know. [His tone hasn't changed at all - kinda scary.] I'll keep it seperate - you do not need to get into my buisness, and my buisness might help you! [It might. Anyway, Emmet knows that if he continued like this, Miror B. may try and pry more - so he changed the subject.]

...Has anybody been recruited yet?

[... Silence for a few moments. The conspicuous change of subject was rather telling. Just what is smiley Emmet up to? Maybe he should ask Facilier about it...] Hmm? Oh. Yes. A fellow named Demyx. I sent him to Nimbasa to keep an eye on the other outsiders.

Oh, riiight! One of the other outsiders seems to be from Unova too! Small world, hmm? He's an annoying little do-gooder, though. We might have to watch out for him. His name is N. Fuhoho! Isn't that ridiculous! [~~Coming from a person named Miror B...~~] ...You know anything about him?

Demyx... that is the odder name. Having somebody in Nimbasa could be good... yup! Very good!
He is a little lucky, though. Nimbasa is a huge, nice city - I wonder how different it is to mine? [But a question about N? Emmet let out a laugh.]
He was from my Unova, as well - but I do not know if he is mine. He was a famous trainer... a very famous trainer! [Okay so Emmet just likes him because he was a new hero - is that a bit more happiness then normal in his voice? Yes, it is] But he is a strong person, as well. Fighting for Pokemon. Fighting for the truth. Yup, he's a good person! [He's not going to mention everything, like the whole Team Plasma thing. N wants a second chance, after all... and Emmet will give him that chance.]

Is he now. [Shit. And why is Emmet happy about this! WHY IS EVERYTHING MESSING WITH MIROR B'S GROOVE.] That is unfortunate. I was hoping he could be ignored. Oh, well. [He sighs, but then brightens a bit.]

You know what he looks like, then? I only spoke to him over the Xtransceiver... He may be over in Nimbasa, but if he's not, he's probably pretty close to where we are right now. Would be oh-so-useful if you could point him out, darling.

Yup! He is green-haired, and that hair is rather long. He also wears a black and white cap - and his clothing is rather casual. You would know him if you saw him! Yup!

You must always prepare for the worst. You must always know how to change, or you'll get defeated again and again.

Green hair, hm? Well, let's keep an eye out for him, then.

[Miror scowls at Emmet's advice. If he didn't know better, he'd think the Subway Boss was mocking him about his history of failures.] Oh, I see; you are a philosopher now? Thank you for the sage advice, darling. I will keep that in mind. Now...

...Oh, wait. I've been thinking. It might help our cause to challenge the gyms. For one, there's the prize money. Secondly, it doesn't hurt to get some respect from the people on top, now, does it? I don't suppose you have to participate, but I'm giving you the option. I had oh-so-much fun rolling through the Colosseums in Orre, and since there is a horribly distressing lack of Colosseums here I guess the gyms will have to do. You interested, darling?

The gyms? [Hmm... if the gyms were beatable, then Emmet may be able to work on his plan sooner... he may be able to get strong enough for it. With a grunt, he replied.] It sounds like fun! Maybe we should compete to see who does it first? To see who is stronger?

Compete? [He thinks about that. His immediate reaction is to agree; competition could be very fun! But what if he loses? That would be horrible for his image. Still, oh well, healthy competition and all. And why should he lose! He's Miror B.!] Well, sure! Why not! Good idea, darling, we'll make it a challenge.

It will be a playful challenge. Maybe we will think of a prize later, but this is for playing.
