 [It's nighttime in a shadier part of Nimbasa City--late enough that most of the lights are off.  If anyone is still awake, they might catch a glimpse of what appears to be a little girl and a Shuppet making a point to avoid any of the streetlights.  The girl is wearing a coat several sizes too big for her, and she clutches it close like she's got something under it she's not too keen on anyone seeing.  Her Shuppet trails tentatively behind her until she pauses briefly to beckon to it with the air of someone who's much more accustomed to having others follow her without question.  Just a few feet away from a lamp, if someone were to see the girl now, they might take note of the fact that her eyes shine bright red, even in the dark.]

[ Sephiroth is also wandering the streets of Nimbasa. He's just gotten back to town after a couple days of training on Route 16 but, doesn't feel like going right to the Pokémon center. He is mildly curious about what a little girl is doing out so late. ]

It's late, and Stocking just wanted to get to the sweets shop before it closed in like 10 minutes.

She decided to take a shortcut.

This shortcut happened to make her jump over a fence and probably crash straight into Marie! Probably. Some kind of impact thing happened at any rate.

"Yeow! Shit! My bad!" Stocking grumbled, rubbing her side before moving closer to Marie. "You okay?"
