Familiar Ground
It took the champion a few hours of wondering the entralink before she found out that thing gave her the option to go to two other places.
First was to go to Nuvema, a small town in her opinion but really nothing much to do there, well not much for her anyway. The second was to go to NImbasa, which was a better option for her since Elesa was there.
A few whirring sounds and a few sparks and soon enough the champion found herself about knee deep in snow and staring at the entrance to Nimbasa City. "Arcues, it's freezing out here!" she exclaimed as she knelt down to pick up her Gible, holding her close, making sure she wouldn't freeze her tiny dragon butt off. Then she entered the city.
Nothing much changed, other than the whole situation with the weather but that wasn't much of a surprise for her. First on her agenda was to get cash, and lucky for her, she was able to bring her wallet and there was an ATM about a few feet away from her. The blonde went over to the machine, placed in her card and to her horror, found a giant 'FROZEN' flashing on her screen.
frozen...
frozen...
frozen...
frozen.
Cynthia couldn't even believe her eyes when all she saw available on her account was a measly 2k. Sure that'd keep her alive but with her lifestyle, alive for about 2 weeks. How the hell was she supposed to go shopping now? Plus the fact that Castelia was just a few days walk from here didn't help with the situation one bit. "Oh arceus why!?"
Eventually she gave up and took out 1k for her to use. This was probably the time she'd head to Elesa to ask if she could crash with her while she sorted all this out but suddenly her little Gible jumped off from her arms and ran towards a nearby news stand. "Hmm?" the champion shrugged as she followed the little pokemon only to find it poking it's head into one of the magazines. Cynthia smiled as she noticed which one it was.
League Elite was a magazine devoted to the daily lives of every single member of the Pokemon League, from champions all the way down to the different gym leaders. Cynthia read it frequently, even finding articles about her from time to time. But recently, she was asked to pose for the cover and was told that they'd release the magazine next month. She smiled at the clerk and paid for the magazine, a little amused as she saw him look back and fourth between her and her picture on the cover. After that she simply waked away before the man got the idea of maybe making a few extra bucks on an autographed edition of the magazine.
After few minutes of walking, the champion decided to take a seat on one of the benches not covered in snow, picking up her Gible and putting her down next to her, then taking out the magazine to read.
"Steven Stone lost in another cave...as usual. Lance, breaking and bending Rockets like no tomorrow...as usual. Elite Flint and Gym Leader Volkner pull off Sinnoh's best prank, only comment 'I didn't do it!', Oh Flint...Cynthia spills all, inside the life of our current cover girl..." She sighed at that last sentence. Sure she loved Unova but the feeling of being trapped here while her pokemon and her elites were left alone in the league, it made her feel horrible.
"I miss Sinnoh already..."
