Thomas's ears perked and he looked up sharply. He recognized that giggle! Quickly scanning the edge of the park, he spotted Estelle walking with her two Pokemon. He smiled lopsidedly and closed his book, stuffing it in the backpack he had purchased in Nuvema. As he stood, he nearly tripped over Ratter, his Lillipup, who yipped in annoyance.

"Oh, bother, sorry, Ratter," Thomas said. He pulled a Pokeball out of his coat pocket and returned the Lillipup to it. As he straightened out his clothes and briefly took off his baseball cap to run his fingers through his hair, he cast a quick glance towards Dodger, sitting by the fountain. Thomas decided he'd be all right on his own for a little while. Smiling, he walked briskly towards the edge of the park to intercept Estelle.

"Miss Heurassein! It is Thomas Sinclair. How do you do?" He swept up alongside her, tipping his cap somewhat over-extravagantly. "It is truly a delight to see you in person, Miss Heurassein. What good fortune that we should meet!" He gave what he hoped to be a very charming smile. "Oh! Is this the Lillipup you caught? How marvelous." He gave the Pokemon a cursory glance, not really that interested in it. In fact, his eyes were lingering on Estelle's hair, which was pink. It hadn't been that apparent on the tiny Xtransceiver screen. It was outlandish, yes, but oddly pretty.
