What Subaru has walked into seems to be a merge of the Heartland that Yuuma and Astral are so familiar with and the vast wasteland within his key. Above the city and far to the distance that can be seen- along with the floating ship that Astral more often than not resides within.
It is likely that Subaru will be standing on one of the tallest buildings, but not THE tallest- that is reserved for the tower in the center of the city after all. For now though, look around-
